In the spirit of my other post, "What's the worst that could happen."

If Astrology became main stream and widely accepted by the scientific community, what is the best that could happen?

I'm curious to see what is happening this hypothetical world where Astrology is not only accepted but used almost solely for good intent.

And yeah, I realize, I probably should have put these two into one post. XD

Astrology Activism: The constant strive to not just learn the intricate details of Astrology but the desire to constantly find new ways to prove that it exists in a scientific manner.
Failure to incorporate the later into your work is akin to learning how to cure cancer but not sharing it with anyone.

People will be armed with knowledge of synastry when venturing into the mating world and will save a lot of time & heartache & $$$$ by eliminating incompatible matches straight off the bat.

I like that it's not accepted by the scientific community.
I believe in separation of church & state,
likewise scientists should stay out of occult matters.

I don't think Astrology is occult even a little bit, I think it's science right down to the bone. /shrug And I also believe in a separation of church and state.

For me, the best that could happen is that it could be used to personalize education for each individual student, playing on their personalized learning style based on the strengths and weaknesses in their chart. Not personalizing what they learn based on the chart, but personalizing how they learn.

Education is the future... and if we can figure out how to stop generalizing education maybe we can get back to learning the important things (like how not to destroy everything we touch as a society).

I was wondering what term to use to describe it, but technically it is occult apparently,

quote:
oc·cult

adjective
1.
of or pertaining to magic, astrology, or any system claiming use or knowledge of secret or supernatural powers or agencies.

Altho when I hear the word occult right off the bat I think 'dark things' about what it signifies, as in black magic. So...replace with whatever. Esoteric maybe.

I like astrology being on the outskirts anyway. It is ruled by Uranus.

I also like the idea of people being more studied in astrology to know themselves better. I also believe it is a science itself, maybe more precise than we can understand.

Ah, they use astrology in the example of the definition but like any so called "magic" in the past, it usually has a foothold in science that just hasn't been discovered yet. For years, flash dust used by court magicians were considered magic... but really it was just magnesium. (Amongst a multitude of other examples).

What causes the effects of Astrology are no more supernatural than what causes the effects of gravity (or aspirin)... we just don't know what they are, therefore we make stuff up.

Although, I do sort of feel bad if my attempt at bringing Astrology into science and out of occult causes you an upset. It's my goal, and sadly after 34 years it's the only one I've really found that I'm passionate about... I hope that doesn't causes problems.

Edit: Esoteric is a good word.

The best that could happen would be manipulation for better causes and better comprehension on the reason people are the way they are.

Maybe more relationships will form, people will be more willing to work out issues because of a percieved amazing "composite" or g-d knows what. lol

The divorce rate would decline.

And people would anticipate explosive transits and try to be careful not to react, well, explosively.
