I'm very tired, but am thinking once again about Pluto in the third house. It's been there for a while now for me, and my communication style has been affected. The good part is that I'm putting up with less BS, and feeling more comfortable (if not 100% okay) with sharing my opinion, opening up at times (although right now, I'm mostly hushed once again); the bad is that I'm more defensive, more likely to fight, and my mental health hasn't been good.

This has been going on with Saturn in the 12th. I might write more tomorrow.. I'm a Scorpio ascendant, apparently, so Pluto is it's co-ruler.

Oh gawd, I remember I was in college when tPluto (obsession/compulsion/pushing your will on others) in Sagittarius (organized religion) formed a trine with my nJupiter (belief system) in 11th (groups) as it was transiting the first half of my 3rd. The 3rd House represents neighbors/immediate surroundings.....and I was surrounded by fundamentalist born-again Christians who kept dropping in on me to give me their testimonies and trying to get me to join their Wednesday night Bible studies when I needed the time to study or work on a paper. Oh, and Jupiter is the ruler of my 4th, which represents the home...which these Plutonian religious crazies invaded.

(Beware of cults when tPluto is aspecting your nJupiter! The one that tried to pull me in was when Pluto was in Sagittarius, so they were really out to transform/take over my belief system....with tPluto in Capricorn, they will probably want to take over the structuring of your career/public image.....for their own monetary gain.)

Edit: This was also when I discovered astrology. Linda Goodman's "Sun Signs" was my first read. Such an enchanting writer.

Ha! I have Pluto about to conj my Jupiter in cap! The church choir practices next door to me around my dinner time but that's not a new occurrence. I am a yes on spirituality but a no on religious. I feel I get things now tho. I am also doing renovations on my bldg. I'd say that is a more h3 thing.

Pluto Transits Conjunct Jupiter
~Your perspective on what you want from life, what you are willing to do to get it and the values that you want to express undergoes a change. If you have been working in a direction that is compatible with your standards and your philosophical or religious views, you are likely to be effective. This thus becomes a time when your past faith and hard work are rewarded, bolstering your confidence and helping you to make even bigger plans for your future - plans that are based on a realistic and solid foundation.

If you have been working along lines that are in conflict with your religious and philosophical views, this could be a time of tension. A change either in the direction of your life or in your values will thus be necessary to deal with your growing sense of frustration. This can lead to a religious rebirth, a time when a particular church or cult seems to express what you feel you really need from life. Whether this religious growth is along institutional or personal lines depends on what you feel is missing from your life. Your main effort now should be in trying to live up to the best in you, rather than lowering your standards to achieve a more transient worldly success.

*The need to expand your horizons and break free from the limitations of your present life style is the major theme during this time period. At this point in your life your current situation seems too restrictive and confining. You feel hemmed in by surroundings and people that are too simplistic, narrowly focused, and petty.

+Intense focus on your career can find you mercilessly cutting back and getting down to the bare essentials regarding the path or direction you are taking with your life. You will have a sense of being almost driven to pursue your course and succeed.

Pluto through the 3rd house- emphasis on communication, neighbors, brothers/sisters, the immediate community and environment. Computers, short distance travel, writing. Thinking can become more intense. Meditation, contemplation, obsession with obtaining knowledge, deeper relationships with siblings. Obsession with making a difference in the community or environment.

When Pluto was in Sag, transiting my 5th house, trine my natal Jupiter, I did join a religious group, got married, and had kids.

I'm no longer in a religious group.

Now Pluto's transiting my 6H and coming up on my sun. I don't know what to make of it yet. I think health challenges are in store for me, but I'm optimistic.

Ami, Pluto is transiting the 3rd house now. Natally, I have it in either my 11th or 12th house.

I'll be back later. I keep losing track of my threads (I forget to click the box for notifications).

Pluto is almost - thank GOD!! - finished transiting through my 1st house... horrible, horrible, horrible for me. Many weight and appearance changes, an obsession with appearance, feeling ugly many times, now needing some surgeries done...

LOL I don't wanna scare anybody who might be having this transit soon, but for me I am highly sensitive so having Pluto here is the WORST of any house for me. Nothing about my appearance has been stable for years. Now I need some kind of surgery done to fix my appearance, which is characteristic of Pluto I guess.

I don't even care if Pluto transits to my 2nd house. I almost feel that will be a relief to me, since I have Neptune in the 2nd in my natal chart, and I have always been very unhappy of how dependent I am on certain people for money. I almost feel I have to trust in Pluto to help me in this time. I am almost ready to be on my own. Maybe I will have some financial set backs, but maybe I will finally achieve the financial independence I have so desired. I hope Pluto's 2nd house transit helps me more than hurts me!

I had tPluto through the 1st House as a toddler and went through a period of brushes with death. E.g. was playing on the stairs to the second floor, got on the wrong side of the railing, and was dangling & hanging on for dear life until a neighbor pulled me back up.

Appearance-wise...I had short hair and a unisex name, and for a while people thought I was a boy. Realized I'm a girl when I started Kindergarten in the U.S. and didn't have to wear a uniform. I guess that's quite transformational.

Pluto going through (and now retrograding through) my 8th house. No surprise, there have been a few actual deaths of those I love very much. Mostly though, it's a constant, never-ending stream of personal transformations for me. I feel like I attend at least one metaphorical funeral every week in my head, letting another thing go.

Hmmm...oddly enough during many rough patches of this transit - and trust me, there were more than a few - I questioned my identity as well. I cut off all my hair, and began dressing more masculinely, like an androgynous appearance... almost to mess with everyone's heads. Or maybe clear my own. I've grown out of it, but that was just another transformation of the transit I suppose.

Also, I'm sorry to hear the 1st house transit brought you close to death! That is terrible. :'0

Thanks, but I wasn't looking to make you feel bad; just thought it would be useful add to the digital akashic records of how these transits could manifest.

When tPluto was in Saggitarius and going through my 1st house, I remember researching world religions from a historical point of view and trying to understand the fundamental beliefs of each. I was going through a painful breakup with a guy that was raised in a cult. I agonized about the meaning of life and researched different ways of dying, Oh ya...I was a lot of fun. This was all internalized though, I didn't share any of these thoughts with anyone.

Now tPluto is going through my 2nd house and it was good for awhile until transiting Pluto, Uranus and Neptune started making hard aspects to my natal Sun, Mars, Moon and Chiron. I imploded last year and I'm in the process of rebuilding this year. Right now though, I feel isolated and paralyzed with the inability to move forward. So far with tPluto in the 2nd, I took a promotion along with a cut in pay so my finances have been really tight. I'm trying to gain some control over my spending and re-assess necessities vs indulgences. I'm also purging material possessions, going back to the basics and de-cluttering my life.

Saturn thru my 2nd is having that effect on me. Sane thing to do, considering the economic climate. Material desire was what got us into this mess, is what Saturn says.

I’ve got Pluto transiting my 1st house right now, and so far it’s gone over both of my 1st house planets… Venus at 29 Sagittarius, and the Sun at 5 degrees Capricorn… there are no more planets in my 1st house left for Pluto to transit, so hopefully the worst is over….

Here's a link about how to determine whether an organization, group, or relationship has the characteristics of a cult:

http://www.csj.org/infoserv_cult101/checklis.htm

I coulda used this for affirmation during that tPluto trine nJupiter period....I was so sure those people were a cult, and according to this list they were

Thanks for the info, Capriquarius, and hi MyFavouriteName. I keep forgetting to opt to receive emails for my threads, so I need to read all of this.

T. Pluto has been in my 1st house forever. So glad it is not conjunct my ASC. those were my prime withdrawn years and my teenage years. It is nearing the 2nd house and will enter it in a year or so, can't wait for that. I'll probably just be as broke as usual.

Pluto is transiting my 12th & I'm cool with it sitting in there for the rest of my life. It's behaving well.

I think the worst is over. Pluto transiting Sagittarius meant 4 brushes with death. My Sun, Merc, Venus, Mars & Nnode are in that part of the zodiac. Pluto took it's own sweet time to scare the **** out of each one of them. It can't do much harm from it's current position. However, I wonder what happens when it conjuncts my ascendant which is in the last decan of Capricorn.

I'm more freaked out about Saturn. It's transition through Virgo messed up my life. Call it Karma slapping me on my face LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT.... My Moon was tortured to insanity. I'm waiting for it to enter Capricorn to see what happens when TSaturn conj TPluto conj NUranus conj NNeptune.
