Sorry. I didn't mean to be asking for a reading or anything. I just thought it was odd that I had Pluto amongst those other planets in the 10th... yet my career/social life is basically nil (also no contact with either parent). Thought maybe the 10th might signify something else because I've got no clue where that energy is going or directed at.

This was beautiful writing! Awesome.

I totally agree with the description on 12th house Pluto. As someone with this placement, I really do have a difficult time unburdening myself without feeling ashamed. I think Moon conjunct Chiron has a lot to do with this as well.

The double life part... yes, I agree with that to a degree. I think, depending on how Pluto touches the rest of the chart and other aspects + placements, most everyone with Pluto in the 12th does have a secret side. And one we can easily become ashamed of if we observe it after a while. I can attest to this... I have always feared my inner darkness. I have an extremely dark side, despite the gag-worthy cliche term. Sometimes it has manifested as a daredevil that comes out at the most inappropriate times. Other times it has come out as being, as you happened to say, inappropriately sexual. It has been difficult dealing with Pluto's 12th house energy, especially because it makes a loose conjunction, I think, to Venus in Scorpio.

Anyway, I think the biggest struggle, as I've said, for people with this placement is to deal with the darkness and the monsters they keep inside, and controlling it when it has to come out.

Many of my favorite celebrities had this placement, such as Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Cobain. As we can see with Marilyn, her dark side with the addiction to pills that eventually assisted in her overdose/suicide. She had a tremendously abusive childhood as well... I have noticed that is a reoccurring theme with Pluto in the 12th. Some kind of childhood abuse. Feeling abused. Wanting to escape in childhood. Kurt Cobain's childhood ruined his life, basically...according to what we have heard him say. He attests he was abused.

Pluto in the 5th here - exactly conjunct my Karma asteroid (no orb at all). Definitely true for me (everything you wrote) and more. I had a post up on here this past week about stationary planets and my Pluto is Stationary Direct so it has extra potent force in my life. Plus my North Node is in Scorpio (plus I am a Scorpio Sun and venus draconically) so even if I tried to run one block away from Pluto, I'd only make it about three steps before I was dragged back.

Having said that, Pluto is actually my favourite planet (YES PLANET, not a dwarf) and I think that's because at some point I realized it was better to surrender to my destiny than fight it. There's no arguing with Pluto anyhow.

We still have our disagreements and right now we're not exactly on speaking terms because I'm working through the worst break up of all time and I'm angry and feeling super rejected. But eventually once I'm through it, I know it will be because of Pluto that I'm stronger and wiser and a better version of myself so in the end I have to say that I love Pluto.

Just not this month

Thank you Sweet scorpion! I did not know that about Marilyn and Kurt. Pluto is very potent and it does not like the 12th House which is amorphous. I really think one needs to find one person to whom one can tell ALL one's secrets. I get this from a chart I did where the girl had 4-5 12th house planets. I was the first person to whom she told her truth. It set her free.

I could talk about my Pluto until the cows come home. Mine is in the first and is the major player in my chart.

I definitely identify with being the leader and ultimately I want to be in charge of everything. In my mind I have a vision for how I want everything to ideally be and function and I am strongly compelled to do that. Of course I will back off when I need to but the urge is still there.

My pluto conjuncts my scorpio moon and trines my cancer midhaven and mars, so it's energy is amplified quite a bit by those aspects.

I am ALWAYS self improving, self inventing, and rebuilding myself from the ground up. I am aware of everything in my own mind and once I see it I can't unsee it. I am deep with everything I do and don't understand at all what it feels like to stop thinking.

I have natal pluto in H7.. Pluto rules my H9.
I guess you can say I have a lifetime of learning about relationships.
I also have a t-square with venus/jupiter/pluto being the apex.
In H4/H7/H10 So I guess its really part of my learning experience.

Right now I think Im really getting my lessons hitting me... T.Pluto in my H9 and T.Saturn in H7 (but about to leave) phew..

All of my relationships are a struggle from my family to friends to lovers.. Nothing ever seems to go smoothly. I hate to fight to stay on top at times.
I have had some really bad relationships, but they still served its purpose.. I have learned not to get into those types of relationships any more.. I can see them coming...
But this whole thing with fishy.. This has been the most life altering thing ever... All the other relationships altered my actions.. This one has changed my thinking..
Whats really a relationship, what I need and want... Not to settle just because....

I have done everything to fight it, get control of it, push it away.. Pretend its not there.. Lie to myself..
Let me tell you, none of that has worked...
You know pluto.. Pluto wont stop and will win the over all battle.
So I give (so to speak )
Im no longer fighting pluto.. It just is!
I will try to accept what pluto wants from me. Which is change and understand and balancing myself and relationships..
To care unconditionally. Because none of us are perfect.

My Pluto is in the 7th House too in Virgo, ruled by Mercury in Capricorn in the 11th House.

They said it produces a roller coaster ride of a marriage. They said that it can be a divorce aspect. You know how it is. I pour on the whole bottle of salt on whatever they dish out.

If you want to understand Pluto, picture a tidal wave. It will have it’s way. You are told to move toward a wave if it seeks to drown you. The same applies to Pluto. One must move toward Pluto, with submission. Pluto is meant to teach us lessons. We don’t like our lessons, just as we don’t like our vegetables. We want dessert. However, too much dessert makes one stodgy and immobile. As such, when Pluto comes to you, submit. If Pluto is in the 2nd house, one will learn lessons in the material world. One may have grown up with material insecurity such as in housing and basic finances. One may not have been able to relax, as one did not know if one’s basic needs would be met. With Pluto in the 2nd house, these insecurities may last for a lifetime, even if one becomes wealthy. Pluto’s influence stays with one, forever, in one form or another

You haven't said anything with this piece. Really, you can replace Pluto with any other planet.

I have Scorpio Pluto on the 10th/11th house cusp conjunct MC. Pluto is also opposite Taurus Moon, square Aquarius Sun, and sextiles mercury/venus/saturn/neptune (all of which conj. Capricorn Ascendant)

both the Pluto in 10th/11th describe a lot about me, my mother has played a huge roll in my life because my father hasn't been there for almost any of it. (didn't even know who my father was until i was 13, and have seen him countable times since) so me and my mother have had an intense relationship, but she's always been super supportive and helpful so i thank her for everything she's done. But as for public image and dreams, i want to make some positive impact on the world and music.. there's so much depression, war, government secrecy, etc that plagues the world's positivity and i want to help turn that around somehow, i'm not in it for the money. I'm already a club/special event DJ, and i'd like to produce music that gives people the inspiration and hope to conquer whatever comes in their future, and if i ever get a public image where i can make a difference, I'd like to shine some more light on these problems.

Pluto is transiting conj natal Uranus & Ascendant, soon it will conj. Neptune and oppose Jupiter as well. big things are happening!

I can feel the enthusiasm in you. If love something with a passion and want to do it, it is because God put it in you. God for it. You are already on your way! When you find your passion, you will be really happy. Nothing can replace this. God bless you, Sweetie!

kind of a contradiction there...clubs just exist to suck up people's money, so they actually detract from these attendees' futures. Go Matrix!

I have Pluto in the 1st and that should mean that my persona undergoes transformations regularly, but people I knew since I was like 11 tell me I haven't changed a bit.

pluto in the 12th house here, in scorpio. i dont feel i live any kind of double life or anything. or that im a volcano that wont erupt. it is more like this. when it comes to the spiritual realm(a realm i have awareness over)-THAT IS WHERE MY POWER IS! when i meet you for the first time-i can read your thoughts. i can see the intentions of everyone-those who cannot even see their own. i can see whats wrong with a strangers life right away. and very few know-THAT I KNOW. only when you get on my level-do you know that i knew the whole time. some people have to take a right of passage to do that, but i am always there and i always see all of it-especially what you are trying to hide. my take on pluto in the 12th house, in scorpio.

The question behind the 9th house is ?What is the purpose of life? What is my purpose ?? People with a strong 9th house crave the answers to these questions as one craves chocolate or cheesecake. These individuals are not content with a superficial lifestyle. They will be the ones to take cocktail party talk to the next level. They are quintessential people of depth, as they see below the surfaces of things, but not in an 8th house way which is to plumb the depths of emotions and passions. They plumb the depths of existence, which is quite different. They may major in philosophy. If they don?t, they study it. They are not content to be the cheerleader or the rah rah girl, even if their looks beguile this. The 9th house Pluto native is a person of profundity, first and foremost.

Pluto shakes up the house in which it resides. A person with an 9th house Pluto may struggle with which philosophy to embrace. He may be in a commune one year and the head of a corporation, the next. He may study all religions, and probably has. If you want a one stop shop for talk on world religions, make it a 9th house Pluto, as he has probably been there and done that. This native will not stop until he finds rest, in his personal philosophy/religion/spirituality. It is his quest and the tidal waves of Pluto will not stop until he finds it.

This has got to be the best article i have read on pluto in the ninth house,i have this placement and you described it perfectly, i often do wonder what my purpose in life is and wont be content till i figure out what that is,thats why i havent commited to going to college fulltime, and people are always badgering me about it,but i wont until i get a sense of what my purpose is. I have studied religion extensively and struggled with it mightily , i was raised as a christian and still consider myself one,but i am also openminded to things such as reincarnation and obviously astrology. Possibly the biggest mental struggle i had was christianity vs astrology, when i discovered astrology and started studying it,i was amazed at how intimately it described me ,my family,my friends and family, i just thought it was the coolest thing ever.well right at the time i started getting really into it ,i was also very involved at my church and one night the pastor mentioned astrology being sorcery and from the devil and i was scared so i threw out my astrology books, but i didnt feel happy having done that,i felt like i had denied myself something great. So i began to study, and pray, and think on the whole issue, and suddenly i realized that astrology is truth and the bible said plainly no truth can come from the devil, and also how can astrology be evil when a chart can show the most intimate details of a person, i dont think the devil can know someone intimately,i think only God knows us that well.

WOW Aquaguy
You told my story. I threw away all my astrology books about 15 years ago because a pastor told me they were from the devil. It took me this long to realize that Astrology is from God. I have many articles on Christianity and Astrology if you are interested

Interesting. my natal pluto is retro in first house scorpio. however using whole signs it resides in 2nd house scorpio. it is exactly conjunct vesta and is opposing mars and square to jupiter. it is sextile to neptune and semi sextile to moon...

personality has undergone major transformations, I've a tendency to throw myself in at the deep end with whatever i do...drastic changes in relationships and work...id say i never like things too easy...preferring a challenge...cant seem to help it, perhaps to my detriment.

im often accused of stripping personalities down, i will see through and highlight any ego crap...i really cant help it...doesnt usually lend itself well to building and maintaining relationships if they take it personally (hard not to, i suppose). however i feel if a person is open to growth i can be of service.

It's probably unrelated but I've had recurring dreams of tidal waves for the last few years and 2012 is feeling very sink or swim so far lol

It's only a major bummer when you don't acknowledge it or work with it . Pluto demands attention and that you clean up your messes. If you don't it will explode your messes for you, and take out anything in the process that gets in the way of the big boom.

True BUT if you have it in the marriage house and you want to get married, it would be hard.
