Hello everyone
I have a children-related question.
If a person has an empty V house, that isn't a bad sign all by itself, right?
(Empty) 5th house in Taurus, Venus in 7th house, forms oppositions with Sa, Ur and Asc, conjunction with Chiron and bQ with Pluto...
But, 8th house is also considered when talking about kids.
8th house in Cancer (Me and Ma in 8th house), Moon in 6th house, forms semi-square with Me, an opposition with Asc and a trine with MC...
It's a girl's chart, and that girl really wants to have babies; what are her astro odds for that?

It means she has free will in that area. Although there is nothing to ease the process, there will likewise be no transits to cause upheavals.

Speaking of transits (which I extremely suck at), Jupiter will soon be in conjunction (one of few rare transits I can spot) with her Moon, and there's a transit Venus making a conjunction with her Venus.
That's all I know :P

I think anyone can have children. Lol!
When theres a house with no planets that just means it isn't a particular area of interest in that individuals life.

Sounds like she's in for a jolly good time having fun girl talks, but she should probably keep a check on the ice cream fests if she wants to keep a girlish figure. (Jupiter + Moon sounds like a pigging out transit, especially in Taurus)

The reason I'm asking this is that she's been having some health issues that concern fertility and she now thinks that there's not much to expect considering pregnancy...
I'm very fond of her and, I don't know, maybe this was an attempt to get some good news and cheer her up :P

That Ma in 8th in Cancer isn't all that bad, huh?

Yeah, she's always been known to over-indulge (to put it nicely) in sweets, so, yeah

Thank you, RegardesPlatero, for your kind words.
However, this is a very young woman and to her, no biological children means no children at all.
I'm sure, with years, she will change her opinion on that, but for now, it is how it is.
I looked at her chart and saw nothing bad (to put it that way) regarding kids, but I wanted to consult you here, too, just to make sure I don't tell her something that's not true.
Her MO is in Gemini, I think I didn't write that in the beginning.

One thing I've read about children and the odds of having them, if you don't mind me adding this, is having Lilith in the 5th decreases the odds of better fertility or just having kids in general. I can actually attest to this, since I have it!

I have never wanted children in my entire life... never grew up dreaming of marrying my prince charming or having a family. Maybe this is because of weird childhood circumstances but I feel it is largely due to just who I am and that's all. Lilith in the 5th can cause miscarriages apparently, or maybe it'd just be hard for you to carry the baby without having more health issues or something.

But an empty 5th house, without any personal or gen. planets in it does not indicate not having children in life. No need to worry about that. I'm sure having a planet here indicates a greater focus on the child in life, or maybe a more destined feel to the child if it is born. For example: my mother has Neptune in the 5th, and she wasn't the type to *ever* have kids. But then I came along unexpectedly. I'm an extremely creative and poetic person, yet I think we have mutually caused each other grief in life. She does not understand who I am at all. Neptune mystifies and makes unclear what it touches... I feel I am a sort of strange person, hard to know and Piscean at times. I see that planet in her 5th as me.

I feel bad that someone you know is going through a fertility issue. You can look at astrology to help, but as others have said, you can't always rely on it to tell you such heavy things, like if you will lose a child or never have one... I'm sure there is hope for her. Maybe she can consult a really good specialist about it to get better help with it. Sometimes incorporating spirituality and mediation into life can really help clear up these problems or at the least, alleviate them. One thing I read about 5H Lilith is, your subconscious fears or anxieties over child bearing may be keeping your fertility on the lower side. I think it would be good for her to clear her mind about it, and try meditating or something along those lines to feel open to good fertility in the future. I know this isn't a tremendous help, but I've had success from meditation and spiritual cleanses before, so maybe it will work for her.

I have no planets in my 5th House, but it's in Cancer and my North Node is there. Of course, I can't give birth. But I would have as many kids as I can handle if I could.

I have a friend with an empty 5th house, but she has four children, and absolutely adores kids. She calls children her "passion." To top it all off, she's a Aqua with Sag rising! Without knowing her, and with that combo, I would have totally guessed her to be leery of kids. Goes to show astrology isn't always so straightforward.

I would guess though, with Taurus in the 5th house, that would be pretty fertile on its own. After all, Taurus is all about the Spring, and growing and nurturing things along.

Also, what about any kind of synastry with the potential baby-daddy? I read somewhere that if someone's n.Moon falls into someone's 5th house, that would stir up feelings of wanting children, that sort of thing.

You truly brought a smile to my face
Thank you for your kind words, it really means a lot, to me personally, and it will mean a lot to her when I tell her.

I took a deeper look at her chart and saw that her 5th house starts at 0°57'17" Taurus, if that has any significance.

Her Lilith is in 8th house, 23°45'57" Cancer.

She's Cancer with a 7th house Sun, and a 4th house True node so you can see the great need to form a family and belong there...

At synastry I suck majorly, to put it lightly, so I can't help with that
Her boyfriend is Leo, I know that much (not very helpful, I know).
