Well, I’m a Capricorn with Venus in my 1st house, and Saturn trine Venus in my chart. No actual planets in Taurus (unless you count Chiron) but I think, especially, the Saturn trine Venus aspect has a strong Capricorn/Taurus vibe to it. Definitely I can come off as unapproachable and serious at times, and give the impression that I don’t have time for any nonsense… this can happen before people get to know me very well, and haven't seen the rest of my chart. To be honest, I am a natural loner and can feel ‘crowded’ if I have too many people trying to talk to me for too long. Too much empty talk can get irritating and make me wanna retreat (I said too much, not all of it!)… but I can have my more sociable moments too, where my fire planets, and Jupiter aspects, come out to play. When I feel comfortable around someone I can act downright silly… Funny thing, I deal with people as part of my job, and the social part of this is easier for me then more informal socializing. I feel more shy and reserved at a party, then I do dealing with people on the job… like it’s easier for me if I have a ‘professional’ social script to follow… informal social settings can be more unpredictable, and it takes me a while to adjust when dealing with new people in this way. It can take me awhile to open up but once this happens I can make a very loyal friend. Sometimes I hide my shyness behind my Sagittarius Asc… So getting to know people tends to follow a certain pattern…. For a short time my Sag Asc may convince people that I’m ‘open‘… Then they come up against the brick wall that is my Cap Sun, and Saturn/Venus trine, where I won’t take things any further for quite a long time, until I feel safe with someone…. Then, once I’ve sized you up and decided that you are worth my time, and that you’re trustworthy…. Then the last few layers of myself start to open… Where I reveal all of my silly quirks, and my vulnerable side…and eventually include you as part of my life. It’s like there’s a period of observation before trust can fully be given. Saturn/Venus types don’t suffer fools gladly… So if a person seems like an irresponsible idiot, or if they lack integrity, or if they are petty and high-drama…Then most Taurus/Capricorn types truly don’t have time for them. Earthy types tend to have high standards. The sad truth is that some Earthy types can be quite calculating in this way. So if a person doesn’t ‘qualify’, or they just don’t fit into the Earth person’s plan (As in, they may mess up then Earth person’s life in some way)… Then strongly Earth types are capable of coldly disregarding a person, or even snubbing them. Most strong Earth types are merely genuine and fond of security though… but, hey, there are mean spirited people of every sign.

Taurus is said to be a snooty sign. Perhaps all the earth signs are snooty. Unlike the harsh Saturn, Taurus has that charming Venus veneer.Is Taurus/Cappy unapproachable?? I suppose it depends what's in front. A Taurus/Cappy boss was unapproachable. A Cappy/Taurus colleague delighted all around. I shed a tear when they left the company. A Virgo/Cappy, Mars & Asc Taurus colleague was polite but elusive. I insisted and persisted, and schemed so we'd end up in a room together. Turned out we had DW Asc conj Venus. Hadn't been that excited about going to work since Cappy/Taurus left. Short answer: Yes, they're unapproachable. IP: Logged |

You know I just realized (and I have a habit of this) what I am trying to ask. They're earth signs and are slow to attach themselves to people, but what I mean is would a Taurus with Capricorn placements, or Taurus AND Capricorn placements, etc. really want to connect with others but feel held back and if they feel held back then what is doing that - the Taurus or Capricorn in them? Or which sign would that trait be seen more in, rather. IP: Logged |

How do you make small talk with them though? I think that's my problem in talking to the Aquarius is that I don't know him well enough to just start divulging about my life. I'm too cautious for that (moon trine saturn, taurus and capricorn. ) but at the same time he's not chit-chatty and thinking about it isn't into small talk. IP: Logged |

It depends also on the situation, or environment we are in as well.I can see how sometimes someone might find me very approchable and other times people might hesitate. Whatever the case may be, an earth sign will never bite your head off. It's not our style. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry, I haven't managed to get the gist of your situation with him. Would you like to get romantic, and do you think he might be interested in you? Aries-Aquarius sun sextile is a nice start! I think earth sign romances tend to unfold slowly and sensitively. When I dated other earth signs, I really enjoyed the bit by bit process. If you are talking about someone with a lot of Taurus, ruled by Venus, and Cap, ruled by Saturn...think "it's going to take time." So I would just follow his cues, maybe ask questions to learn more about him, make sure he knows you are thinking about him...be steady, friendly, consistent. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Capricorn is a go getting sign, it is comfortable making all the moves. Taurus, otoh, is very timid. Of the two, it would be Taurus energy that bogs things down & slow an advance. quote:

So if... an Aquarius had Taurus rising, Taurus moon and Mercury and Venus in Capricorn, he might actually be shy lol. Sorry it's just my friend keeps telling me "He's shy, he's shy!" and I'm thinking "No, you're just a Pisces and you don't get he's just not interested in me." No, he actually might be shy. I mean I have a Taurus moon and for me to approach someone first they have to seem VERY open and gentle. Which I don't actually act like, so yeah - shy. Sorry for rambling! IP: Logged |

I had a boss who had a Capricorn Sun/Taurus moon combo. He was naturally funny and approachable at least to me (I have a Capricorn moon). If you can't feel an instant connection with them, just come across as competent. They respect competence. Once they respect you, they'll open up more and show off their goofy side. IP: Logged |
