Depends on ascendant and progressions. Maybe Venus, since it's the planet of attraction and sociability. One of my siblings is a Taurus with Moon in Cap and is approachable.IP: Logged |

i dont know about shy but unapproachable yea maybe. i dont think i know someone with this combination but usualy cap dominant people look like they dont have time for you, like they're busy and just dont care -thats not always how they feel though. also taurens are not exactly the best ice-breakers, they seem very distant and they keep to themselves..with that in mind my good guess is that a person with too much cap and taurus will at least come off as unapproachable.. unless if they have a major air or fire aspect that could change things.. I'm a Cap with Sun-Mars conj in Cap & trine to Cap's ruler. That's pretty heavy Cap influence. And I look like I don't care because I truly don't want to be around anyone. Here's how a typical Cap feels:

I thought the Taurus would soften Cappie's edges, but also make them doubly shy to break the ice. I ask 'cause I feel this guy at work all the time, and he's a sweetheart but we both have Taurus moons (he has Venus in Capricorn) and therefore he does seem like you described above. Like he doesn't have time, or doesn't want to be approached, too good for anyone. I'm normally pretty comfortable and myself around people, except him and I think it's 'cause I sense how uptight he feels around me or the shyness. IP: Logged |

Cap trines Taurus so they shud be approachable. I have no personals in cap but I have cap Neptune and Jupiter trined to my Taurus sun and Venus. People do approach me sadly lol! Taurus likes pretty tho.  IP: Logged |

from a cap dominant perspective some people say that when they first met me they thought i was a show off/arrogant, but they changed their minds when they got to know me. but i dont think its ME who gave off that vibe i think its THEM or something in their chart that makes them judge certain people as arrogant.. earth signs are generally "down to EARTH" duuh  but being serious, professional like caps and or quiet and reserved like bulls can very easily come off as being unapproachable
IMO earth signs are very kind hearted and genuine, being a Libra sun with a lot of water and earth in my chart out of all the elements i can say i feel most comfortable with earth signs..

im not the right person to give advice on this, i too had the same issues with a Taurus who's Venus is in Taurus, and still to this day im not sure if he really likes me or not. im usually a good ice breaker, u kno i can strike up a conversation with anyone. but this person in particular is so hard for me to communicate with although he's a nice guy and is very polite to me. Sometimes i think maybe its me and because i like him i get all nervous and stuff but its more than that. its his taurus ways of being very discrete.. but i feel like if i can just break the ice i can finally reach in and grab him... It depends on who is approaching them. I'm a Cap sun born in the Taurus decan, SN in Taurus. I tend to look serious when meeting Aries people (like you, hannarama  ), because I don't understand where they are coming from. I'm concentrating so I can make sense of them. Ohhhh I know 3 Taurus sun cap moon guys. By the way adolf hitler was said to be this combo. I joked with one of the guys about that. He actually has a libra rising which hitler is said to have to so it was even more reason to bust on him. Sometimes I would call him "charles in charge" even tho his name isn't Charles They are definitely each a man's man. I wasn't scared of them. I have all fixed signs, so I was more interested in them because of theyre strong prescense. One of my best guy friends described the one i dated as "holding himself well." I think he was talking about the masculine prescense he has. I know them all to me pretty sweet and see theyre gentle, loving sides. But they can be tough and hard - even scary to others. From what I've seen, it's not a combo you can walk all over. This is a good thing. Sometimes that's what happens when I date someone with my dominant placements. For me, its less about the anger. Its about the eye on the prize and the charging buffalo... cannot use "bull" because its taken by the Taurus people ... I swear I would run everyone over. People at work curse when I'm busy and I'm getting stuff off the network printer. I walk like 80 mph and everyone clears the aisle. I get especially impatient when I have bosses who are too slow mentally or too incompetent. ^ I understand. I think the more competent you are in general, the less you get to the point where anger comes into play. Because you've already created conditions where you can move ahead without people holding you back, making you angry, or making you bark "get out of the way."
