Okay, so I'm a Taurus gal with a pisces mars sign and my brother is a Scorpio with mars in scorpio...(Lol, a double dose of such an intense sign. He really does fit the description of a scorpio too.) Anyway, since we both have our mars signs placed in water signs,I'm curious as to whether this type of coincidence commonly occurs with most siblings? And does it seemingly affect our relationship? We are pretty close.

It could. Never discount patterns. I have many siblings and besides my twin sister we all have different Mars placements.

Me: Mars in Aries (Libra Sun) Venus in Leo
Twin sister: Mars in Aries (Libra Sun) Venus in Leo
Older sister 1: Mars in Cancer (Leo Sun) Venus in Virgo
Older sister 2: Mars in Capricorn (Cancer Sun) Venus in Virgo

Wow I just realized we all have cardinal sign Mars placements. That's something interesting to ponder. We definitely all are go getters. Hm...Oh but we have shared Venus placements in pairs something else to think about.

Me - Mars Libra

Brother 1 - Mars Leo
Brother 2 - Mars Taurus

Sister - Mars Libra

Brother 1 & 2 born by same mother, different father than me but same father as each other.

Sister born by same father, different mother than me.

Edit: I'm not really close to any of my siblings, but I love them all to pieces. My brothers aren't close to each other either.

If anything I get along with Brother 1 the best, Brother 2 is awkward around me because we didn't bond when he was a kid. My sister and I got a long GREAT as kids... we would fight (argue) like CRAZY all the time driving my dad nuts until he'd come in and yell at us, then we'd both get upset at him for ruining our fun. We don't get along so much any more, partly because she thinks I judge her too much, and partly because I judge her too much. XD

As far as how these placements affect our relationships well...

My twin and I are best buds. But I don't get a long too well with my older sisters. They've got big egos and I'm fully aware that I can be vain I mean (Venus in Leo here) but I keep that vanity to myself. It's no one elses business really. But my placements square their placements especially my Mars so we are supportive of one another but we don't always get along. My twin is the only one in my whole family that gets me and likewise. My moms a close second.

Mars signs from oldest to youngest: Aries, Virgo, Libra, twin Aries, Leo (ME), Virgo.

I get on well with everyone though I utterly looked up to my eldest brother through childhood (he's the first Aries Mars). Me and my younger sister (Virgo Mars) lived together for her entire life, so we've grown used to one another after a good decade of sibling rivalry and bloodshed.

you'd think that would help things, but i think that it would have more effect if we didn't already have: both our suns and mercury in opposition, our moons square, our venuses square, her venus opposite my mars, saturn, and uranus, and my venus square her mars.

My auntie - Libra Mars at 29'58 Libra.. She has some Scorpio traits as well.

My Mars is in Capricorn.. Jupiter in Pisces.
My half-sister has a Pisces Mars and Capricorn Jupiter

my brother and I have Venus conjunct Mars on both ways.

he's a venus in Libra and mars in scorpio while i'm a venus in scorpio mars in libra.

mom has mars in aqua while dad had mars in cancer..

guess mom and i share an airy mars while dad and bro share a water mars..

I remember creating an 'astro family tree' LOL I basically compared the Sun-Moon-Asc combos of all my immediate family (two parents, four children) and noticed that we all shared signs! I later went on to incorporate my sister's children and the pattern continued.

Including all the kids, there's 12 of us. My mum has passed and I never knew her rising sign but I suspect it was Scorpio or Virgo. So combining all the Sun/Moon/Asc signs we have only one Aquarius placement (my eldest sister's Moon) and one Capricorn (her youngest son's Sun). Leo is by far the most recurring Sign, with 6 placements! Then Taurus, Gemini, Cancer are all joint with 4. The rest are pretty evenly spread.

Also two of my sister's and on of their sons share an Air/double Water combo. My eldest sis has Water Sun/Air Moon/Water Asc and her first son is the same! Two of her other sons have triple Fire and triple Earth combos.

Overall, my family is dominated by Earth and Air, with a lot of people have 2 or more of the big 3 in either of these elements. There's only two family members, one of my nieces and one of my uncles, who is only Fire/Water (Cancer Sun + Rising and Leo Moon and Cancer Sun + Moon, Rising unknown).

Hmmm...well, I am always curious about patterns, too. So I did the "leg work" to get this data together

Brother 1: Mars Virgo
Brother 2: Mars Pisces
Sister: Mars Libra
Brother 3: Mars Sag
Brother 4: Mars Cap
Me: Mars Gemini

Mostly mutable Mars.

Dad: Libra sun conjunct Mars in Libra
Mom: Leo sun conjunct Venus; Mars in Cap

Both my grandmothers were Gemini suns, both grandfathers (and my father as I said) were Libra; so it's interesting that my sister is Libra Mars and I am Gemini Mars.

Lots of funky conjunctions in my family, especially with plain old birthdays amongst first cousins.

Well my sibling (my sis) is a mars in capricorn so's her ascendant, she's got a big dose no doubt. I'm a taurus mars but I have a big dose too as my venus is here and its a tight as hell conjunction. I love her but not all that hugsy wugsy close and ............whatever. We are close but different personalities, we are opposites.
