My asc is scorpio. I have noticed that i am attracted to men who either are scorps or have lots of scorpio in thier charts. Is it common thoughts that your rising is suppossed to point you to your best astrological match? Or is there another planet placement for that? Do you find yourself attracted to your ascendant? ------------------ Gemini Sun Scorpio Rising Sags Are Hot IP: Logged |

Hahaha. Not me. My wife has no Pisces in her, and that's my ASC. I have no Cancer in me, and that's her ASC. What is strange though is that our North Nodes are both Conjunct our spouse's ASC. Could be just a coincidence. IP: Logged |

In my "old age" (aka very recently) I've found that new people I'm acquainting with either have a Virgo Moon or Venus, whereas before I never knew too many other Virgos in my life. So far I like the Virgo moon, it's both meticulous and serene which you wouldn't think would go together quite so nicely as a Virgo tends to embody it. IP: Logged |

That's way too cool (not to mention rare) to be a coincidence YTA! IP: Logged |

My AC is at 0' Cancer technically... but I'm not sure that it isn't 29' Gemini. I am attracted to Gemini everywhere. I just like them! Not so much Cancer though.... We have our issues. When these signs are both prominent in someone's chart, it can be confusing. I'm never sure whether I love them or dislike them. IP: Logged |

Some Sagittarius people I just really love! I have been crazy about a few Saggies over the past few years, and with one of them I also had a crazy-powerful synastry. As I grew older I began to seek out 'fire' people to fill my fire void, I think... anybody else feel that they are prone to doing that? I naturally gravitate towards Sagittarius when I look for fiery people to fill the fire void I have in my natal chart. I don't do so well with Aries and Leo unfortunately...I think there is a bit more to it than just having Sagittarius on my ascendant though. I also have my Moon in the 9th and it makes harmonious aspects to a lot of planets in my chart. So I guess I really connect well with people who have the very Sagittarian personality. ------------------ "Perfect love casts out fear." -Anthony de Mello IP: Logged |

True for me. Virgo rising. Holding onto 'em is another story. This Virgo Rising will point out all the things they're not doing quite right. IP: Logged |

People are attracted to the sign OPPOSITE their ASC. Although the ASC axis (which includes the DSC) is important in general. You feel a commonality with people who have a lot of the same sign as your ASC. DSC completes you, though. IP: Logged |

Yes, this is natural. Presumably, their planets would fall in your 1st House, adding to your sense of self and identity, naturally making you feel good. I am a Libra AC - I am certainly attracted to Librans, as well as Aries.IP: Logged |

Not a coincidence at all... AC/Node is a Soul Mate synastry contact, if you buy into that. I've definitely felt it, and it's very, very strong and magnetic. IP: Logged |

Hmmm in a way I can identify with what you are saying... the 1st house analogy turned on the lightbulb so to speak. For me this isn't important, but many of my planets including my sun fall in my boyfriend's first house, so perhaps it's my karmic responsibility to affirm HIS identity and that's the draw. For me the seventh house is a running theme in my chart so my identity is affirmed just in being with a partner (as sad and pathetic as that is LOL). IP: Logged |

My ascendant is at the last few degrees of Virgo, so most of my first house falls into Libra. Except for one Libra who has a lot of Scorpio influence, I'm not attracted to Libra. But I find Virgo Suns extremely attractive in every way. So for me, it's a combination of 12th House ("I can't put my finger on what it is about you, exactly...") and ascendant (which is what we try to appear to be).IP: Logged |

So says the cookbooks, but does it hold up in the real world?? quote: People are attracted to the sign OPPOSITE their ASC. Although the ASC axis (which includes the DSC) is important in general.
hmmm...possible. Perhaps they're not attracted to me cause I rarely meet any. **Note to the Gods: This is not a request. So yeah. I'm Gemini/Sagittarius/Virgo, as a result I clash with Pisces energy. While I admire the gentle side of the fish & Piscean placements...don't think it's for me. Now, my 7th house ruler as a point of attraction, that may be closer to the truth. IP: Logged |

i've read.. "First of all, your Soul Mates... in ancient astrology, they went much more by Rising Signs. Others with the same Rising Sign constituted your cohort or traveling companions in life." http://zodiacsigntraits.com/scorpio-ascendant.html IP: Logged |

Not true for me, either. I'm Taurus ASC and I've never dated one. I prefer Scorpios (I'm a Scorp moon).IP: Logged |

My ascendants Gemini. I don't really gravitate towards Gemini, to answer your question. I like the way they operate because thats similarly how I do as well. Its a big part of my personality... but not what I need in a partner. I think I gravitate towards Sagittarius energy more because they also fit my lunar needs. Its my moon and descendant. For me, It really all depends on the chart and person. IP: Logged |

I find this to be true. I'm a Gemini Rising and I often find myself instantly mesmerized by Gemini Suns. I think this is the sign I have easiest to spot. I find their eyes to be very special, it's like they're somewhere else watching everything from a distance or just seeing things differently. They stand out in a crowd. Soft, intelligent, mysterious and very unreachable (for me). I've chased a couple of them but of course they slipped away! They're flying around in the sky and I'm still on the ground (or in the water) They seem to like me too from the start, but things never progress from the friend zone.A couple of Gemini Suns I have a weak spot for is Paul Bettany and Wentworth Miller! ------------------ Ascendant: Gemini Sun: Pisces Moon: Capricorn Mercury: Pisces Venus: Capricorn Mars: Aquarius IP: Logged |

Hmmm, I've never really had any significant relationships with Capricorn people (friendship or romantic). It's never been a pattern with me. Although I am usually attracted to earthy types, but it's typically either Taurus (because it opposes my Moon) or Virgo (because I have a stellium in the sign). If anything, I think Capricorn Suns and Moons are really attracted to ME. So, I think it's the other way around. I've read that in a Sun-Ascendant synastry conjunction, the Sun person will feel immediately drawn to the Ascendant person because they project the sign's energy so readily. But, inevitably, there's a let-down because that's not who the Ascendant individual REALLY is, deep down. That's why I always think Ascendant compatibility is a little iffy, because it's a rather superficial part of ourselves. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

I agree completely. The planet person is usually more attracted but it can turn out to be a "let-down" as you put it, if the personal planets of the ASC person clash with their ASC. IP: Logged |

Yeah, in some cases the Ascendant or the Descendant can point out who you prefer to date or settle down with. If the person's sun is not conjunct the ascendant/descendant, then it is often shares the same element. Sometimes.I have a Sagittarius ascendant and I usually am very attracted to Sagittarius suns and they to me...but compatibility is a COMPLETELY different story. IP: Logged |
