That is a big part of it indeed, but I don't want it to sound so negative. It's just a different way of processing My mercury is in gemini, but due to it being in the 8th house, and a few other placements, I read into how someone says something as well. However, that's not the priority and I back-process it, often seeing the details of it later in hindsight. So, I get them on that, but my communication is just a verbal barrage sometimes. I talk A LOT, and it can beat down water mercuries.

Interesting. I don't really do the back-processing thing, but it does sound watery. My Mercury is in the 10th house (along with Jupiter).

I think I process things as they happen.

Interesting amazing how accurate aspects are. Now I'm curious, Where's your mercury placed?

Agreed! My mercury is 16 deg Libra placed in the Aquarian decan in the 5th house.

Hmmm...

Jupiter sextile Mercury, Neptune and Uranus opposite Mercury with me and my sister, who I consider a close friend. We have very interesting and wild conversations, lol. We also verbally spar every now and again, but nothing serious as it used to be...it was like a UFC fight at one point.

Between a friend and I, we have Sun/Mercury trine and a hard aspect between Mercury/Pluto and Mercury/Saturn, but I have the last two in my chart and we never fight but she has said things that irk me. I simple agree to disagree as said before.

With my Sag ex, Sun/Mercury trine, our Mercuries square, Mercury trine Jupiter/Saturn, and Mercury opposite Mars. He made me laugh a lot. It wasn't as exciting as it sounds, though. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall, sometimes.

If someone's Mercury conjuncts your Sun you will just have an innate understanding of each other, they just 'get' you.It really makes for a strong link between two people.

A friend of mine, who i consider also my spiritual teacher, we talk much about such things and philosophy, he encourages me to talk when i'm kinda not in the mood of talking... I mention all those septiles because our communication mainly is about magical and spiritual things :

His Mercury widely conjunct my Moon (8d)
His Mercury conjunct my South Node (exact)
His Mercury conjunct my Jupiters (3d)
His Mercury conjunct my Selena (2d)
My Mercury conjunct his Pluto (3d)
His Mercury trine my IC (1d)
His Mercury septile my Mars (exact)
My Mercury septile his Venus (exact)
My Mercury septile his Jupiter (exact)
His Mercury quincunx his Uranus (exact)

2) My friend with whom i had immediate understanding only AFTER we began to talk, it was like - ah, don't stop talking, i love to to be around and share ideas... we can talk hours, talking things we haven't talked to others, revealing things we'd better hide. As he said - i don't know, why i'm telling you this, but i am.

His Moon conjunct my Mercury (exact)
His Mercury conjunct my Pallas
My Mercury square his Pallas
Our Mercuries semisquare each other
His Mercury septile my Sun (exact)
His Mercury square my Juno
My Mercury quincunx his Mars
His Neptune square my Mercury (exact)

3) A friend with whom i can talk about anything related to memories, share melancholy, we share interests in our nation and traditions... i like her very much, it's like she is making me want to become a better person in her presence. But again, sometimes it feels annoying to me.

Her Sun conjunct my Mercury
Our Mercuries conjunct
Her Venus conjunct my Mercury
Her Mercury sextile my Moon
Her Mercury sextile my Jupiter
Her Mercury square my Uranus
Her Mars trine my Mercury
Her Jupiter trine my Mercury
Her Neptune square my Mercury

4) A friend i met recently, but she already is a very close person to me, i don't know even why, to be honest. Just a strong pull, mutual. We are very similar and btw, her Sun on my NN, maybe that's why.

Her Mercury conjunct my Uranus
Her Mercury conjunct my Neptune
Our Mercuries square
Her Moon quintile my Mercury
Her Mercury quincunx my Jupiter
Her Mercury trine my ASC
Her Mercury quincunx my Mars
Her Mars quintile my Mercury
Her Neptune square my Mercury
Her Chiron square my Mercury

I get along best with my fellow Libra Mercuries.

I have the most difficulty with Virgo.

I haven't had much experience with Pisces, Aries, Cancer, or Leo.

The rest have been about average--nothing great, nothing horrible.

Me and my best friend have Mercury square Mercury in fixed sign but we have Mercury/Sun trine on both ways and Moon-Moon conjunction. In the past we argued a lot and we have had a on/off friendship but as we grown up things got better.

Friend 1/2 -
my sag sun/venus/merc/nn0de opp her gem sun/merc. We talk about rand0m stuff, the world's m0st trivial things. We laugh a lot when we're together, at each other's super lame jokes that would fail to make even a dog smile. "what color bra would you wear at h0me after marriage? I'd wear a lavender one." she - "who wears clothes at h0me after marriage?" We never argue and our c0nversati0ns are always light.

My sun/merc/venus/nn0de opp his sun/merc/venus/jupiter. Our c0nversati0ns are light, witty and flirtatious. He ann0ys me though when he goes overboard with r0mance.

Friend 3 - my merc sq his virgo sun/merc. This pers0n's critical of me. He's blunt. I do m0st of the talking and all the laughing. He does the criticizing, yawning and a little bit of advising. He believes he can get away with anything with me. Oh, and he shares his secrets. He says I bore him yet sticks to me all day l0ng.

Friend 4 -
my sun/venus/merc trine her aries sun/merc/venus. We both want to talk so there's n0one to listen. Our c0mmunicati0n styles and interests are similar. We talk atleast 0nce a day about metaphysical stuff. And we argue every m0nth over pers0nal beliefs.

I had the m0on/merc double whammy with s0me0ne and I instinctively knew what was going on in this pers0n's head. My virgo m0on opp his pisces Sun/merc. His sag m0on c0nj my Sun/merc/venus/nn0de. Mind reading felt awes0me.

I do this to an extent as well. But my Leo Mercury Trine Uranus makes me process things SUPER fast. My mercury is in 2nd house...so it takes me a bit before things stick. But when they do...they stick forever. I am a Water Sun/Asc/Mars and that makes me back process things ONLY when my feelings are involved (which is a rarity with a Cap Moon/IC Square Uranus/Venus in 11th). Esp with a Square to Pluto, when my feelings are involved then it's all bets off and I back process the heck out of something.

**Also I will agree that Mercury Conjunct Sun is an AMAZING aspect to have. I've attracted a many Gemini people JUST because of this aspect with their Cancer Mercury. We may have completely crap synastry otherwise but this aspect is amazing and makes for an amazing intellectual connection (which again my Cap Moon/IC Square Uranus/Venus in 11th greatly needs).
