You just seem like one of 'those' people." Indeed, this is true. Kids always gravitate toward me and/or will stare with interest from afar. Parents ask me to watch their kids all the time - since I was 13, I've been a male babysitter, which seems to fit the Cancer MC perfectly. I'm known far and wide for "being good with kids." 18 Cancer is located within the Scorpio decan, and I'm studying Child Psychology at school. This seems like the perfect fusion of Cancer/Scorpio energy. (I had picked this major before becoming involved with Astrology.) I suppose I am known for being very emotionally brave/no BS, which is also very 2nd decan Cancer. As a child, I was a very renowned classical music performer in the Tri-State Area. Having just moved back to the area in which I grew up, I'm reminded daily of just how much my reputation is imbued with the performing arts activities I engaged in as a youngster. I'm known as "the opera kid" or "the actor kid". I have Venus-Pluto conjunct at 19 Scorpio forming a tight trine to my MC. Finally, though it's probably genetics for the most part, I have always and still do look like the spitting image of my mother, despite my being male. People confuse us for siblings all the time. I always thought this had something to do with Cancer on the MC. We most definitely have always had a very special bond, typical of Cancer MC.
Good point! People think I can cook too or have hidden ice cream maker knowledge lol! I can't and don't. I am 3rd decan, will look into it. I am also not a libra rising. It's coz I was born in Asia that I have scorp rising and cancer mc. Read that on libra rising.com. I guess I'm the more domesticated scorp riser according to them. Oh interesting I'm in the Pisces decan of cancer. My mom is cancer rising, Pisces sun and moon. The Third Decan of Cancer is also known as the Pisces Decante and the "Week of the Persuader." The influence of Neptune, one of the secondary planets governing this Decan, can induce some unique and interesting characteristics but chiefly adds much to everyday creativity and imagination which is useful in the general creative process. This can be of great advantage since it provides natives of Cancer with the ability to employ their inherent good taste with wardrobe and make-up, as well as in the selection of embellishments for the personal environment. Third Decan subjects might be good interior decorators, window dressers, gardners or landscape artists. They are also often talented with a paintbrush, musical instrument, sewing machine or sculpting clay. In short, these natives appreciate most art forms and generally have an excellent sense of rhythm. In order to achieve greatest happiness and efficiency, Third Decan Cancer individuals must attune their personalities to the beat of life itself. Of all Cancer individuals, it is those of this Third Decan who are likely to be the most sensitive, prone to laugh easily or cry with the minimum amount of triggering. Thus, it is vital that these natives avoid negative people and negative environments. Falling under the jurisdication of both Neptune and the Moon (primary governing planet of this Decan), these subjects are inclined to "soak up" practically everything that is around them. Third Decan Cancer natives tend to be somewhat private by nature and may need to work a little harder in order to bring their many talents and abilities to actual fruition. They are probably fairly well-adjusted to accepting the fact that they will generally experience delays and setbacks more often than most others. These natives are the most romantic and idealistic of Cancer individuals when it comes to matters of the heart. However, it will be necessary to exercise at least a little extra practicality to avoid involvement in emotional alliances that are going nowhere. Some Third Decan individuals also tend to be heavily influenced by Jupiter (the other secondary planet governing this Decan) which provides much strength to the character. Nonetheless, the influence of the increasingly intense nature of the Moon will always be apparent, even though Jupiter can furnish good judgment and steadiness to an otherwise fluctuating personality. Indeed, when needed, Jupter is able to stir Third Decan Cancer natives to action. Commercial success is not unusual for these individuals, provided they refuse to be swayed by the vacillating Lunar influence. Otherwise, they may become egotistical and talkative, being far too concerned with trifles to accomplish great things. The character of this Third Decan Cancer subject may be classified as that of a spiritually-attuned dreamer...one who is in love with glamor and possesses a creative imagination that could degenerate into escapism when the mood is "blue." On the positive side, those who fall within the jurisdication of this Decan can be caring rescuers with many artistic talents. Such individuals adore music, dance and romance and tend not to get their feelings hurt too easily. Water is of paramount importance to these natives they will undoubtedly be happiest near the sea or a lake. There is a tendency here to put on weight and these individuals benefit greatly from education and travel. The motto of the Third Decan of Cancer is "Research." The constellation associated with this Decan is Argo Navis (The Ship Argo), a huge constellation which does not exist in modern times, having been divided into separate and distinct constellations in the Mid-Sixteenth Century by Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. Today, the constellations which comprise the former Argo Navis are: Carina (The Keel); Puppis (The Stern or Poop Deck); Pyxis (The Compass, which was once known as Malus The Mast) and Vela (The Sail). Argo Navis in its entirety is said to have been created by the Ancients because its stars skimmed the Southern Horizon (or sea) as seen from Greece. It symbolizes the secrets of nature and the curious mind which continually seeks out new horizons, suggesting that discontent often stimulates further exploration. In mythology, The Argo was the ship used by Jason and his Argonauts to search for the Golden Fleece. It may also represent the ark used by Noah to survive the Great Flood which brought about the final destruction of Atlantis around 9000 BC, when the precession of the equinoxes was moving into this Decan. http://people.tribe.net/scorchmysoul/blog/9d00bab5-bd94-4cb7-ab1a-115379d46cdc Look like dad here tho. My Midheaven is in Virgo, square Saturn, trine Neptune, sextile Pluto, and square Chiron. It's made me exceedingly picky about work conditions and the specific order in which I accomplish my work -- I won't work on this before I get back to so-and-so, and so on. I feel it's also made me viscerally aware of my employer's faults and the shortcomings of our office in general in terms of efficiency. It's definitely true that in terms of the MC square Saturn aspect, I have to prioritize my overall health before everything else; I don't stand a chance at work otherwise. In terms of the MC sextile Pluto aspect, I've definitely experienced some rather drastic career shifts and enjoyed the transformational quality of changing fields. The MC trine Neptune aspect has definitely made me idealistic regarding my career (long-range goals potentially include espionage, LOL) and shall we say, "confused" my decision-making process over what to do at various points. The last aspect, MC square Chiron, is the one that I potentially relate to the most. It was impossible for to find my niche in the working world before I resolved my issues with my parents and relationships in general. Absolutely. IP: Logged |

My 10th is empty, I only have planets in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 12th. mc is capricorn trine sun, jupiter, uranus, pluto all in virgo. Square saturn in aries. My background is in customer service. I enojoy it and I'm very good at it. To an extent I consider it a career because I've been doing it for so long, but it's not really what I want to be doing. I'd like to make my living as a writer but I never send out any of my work. The reason is a symptom of a much bigger challenge that I've been working on for a long time. Slowly but surely, I'm getting there. IP: Logged |

For whatever it's worth.MC in Sagittarius within the 10th House in Placidus, ruled by Jupiter in the 2nd House in Aries. Sun is also in 10th House in Capricorn if using Placidus. If I use Equal Houses, then Sun would be in the 11th House. My Mercury and Mars are in the 11th House in Capricorn either way. I'm a banker. Seems to represent my career. I don't know about public image: seems to be that of the devil? No 9 to 5 here. More like 5 to 9. IP: Logged |

I have Sagittarius on the MC. The ruler of my Midheaven (Jupiter) is in the my third house. Aspects: Mars trine Midheaven Jupiter opposite Midheaven Pluto sextile Midheaven Sun Sextile Midheaven Saturn and Uranus in the 10th/on the MC. My career is suited to these placements because I'm a communications person (Jupiter in the third and Air dominance) and I love to travel (Sag MC) and research (Mercury in the 8th). My Ascendant in Aquarius makes me quite the humanitarian, I've always been interested in and participated in community and volunteer work and I'm a big social activist who prefers to work with non profits. I'm a people person and my interests always lead me down a path where I get to interact with as many people as possible through humanitarian work. As far as my career goes, nothing really holds me back. Saturn has been a headache for me in the past because it's at home in the 10th and because I lean more to left (Uranus dominance) people always seem to want to limit me. Or maybe I'm just particularly sensitive to limitations with Sag on the Midheaven and Aquarius Rising. Everything in my makeup is an accurate representation of myself. I think having Uranus on my Midheaven makes me not to concerned with how I appear to the outside world. I'm not too concerned with my public image. It's not something I cultivate, I'm just trying to live and make a little bit of a difference along the way. IP: Logged | |
