Sorry I’m sure there have already been a lot of threads on this topic but…. I am curious… What sign is your MC, how is it aspected, and do you feel this represents your career or public image so far?

My MC is in Pisces trine Pluto, sextile Mars, sextile Saturn, sextile Sun, square Mercury.

I think I have a lot of ambition regarding establishing a career, but Pisces wishy-washy, idealistic characteristics fit the overall tone of my pursuits pretty well so far…. What have your experiences been?

No. And it doesn't represent my parents' careers or public images either. The MC represents what we strive to be publically known as. In my case, the ruler of MC in Gemini is the same as the ruler of Ascendant in Virgo. I kinda want to write a book or two before I kick the bucket but will probably use a pseudonym (ain't that a Gemini thing to do? Two faces hehe)

EDIT! I read other things too though! Right now I'm reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand! I can be smart,

Was just wondering why your location says "The Capitol." Thought you are posting from within the building that is the meeting place of the U.S. Congress, an apartment complex dubbed "The Capitol," or imagine yourself to be a character in "The Hunger Games."

(Cuz if u iz @ Washington DC & u iz smart, u wouldn't b saying u iz in da "Capitol"; 'twould be the Capital.)

MC Cancer

Moon in Leo h10 conjunct Cancer MC

2 t-squares to it: pluto, moon, venus and pluto, moon, mercury.

it also inconjunct my h3 neptune.

Cancer on the Tenth House cusp (Midheaven/MC): When the Moon rules the Tenth or is in the Tenth, there is the tendency to acquire a career that deals with nurturing others or is involved in some way with cultivating popular appeal and playing to the crowd. It is very common therefore to find the Moon and Cancer strongly related to the Tenth House in the horoscope of politicians. The choice of one’s life work may be highly influenced by the family, especially one’s mother. The Moon (especially in a fixed sign or in Cancer) in aspect to Saturn with Cancer on the MC, symbolically states: “I am following in my family’s footsteps,” and much guilt can result from opposing one’s parents’ views in the choice of a career. When positive, this is an influence that contributes to a person who feels that the whole world is his or her family. The professional goals of such people are often involved in the administration of social resources and “feeding the masses.” Careers in food related fields, real estate and counseling are also popular choices with this sign/cusp combination.

My MC is Aquarius
conjunct my North Node Aquarius
Opposition Mercury in Leo H4
Trine Moon in Gemini H1
Square Mars in Taurus H12
According to Astrotheme (Your destiny is commensurate with your unpredictable nature. Your life is full of changes in direction which are caused by your sudden surges of independence and freedom. They enable you to evade monotony and recreate different environments in which you feel good again.)

Career wise I'd say I am very unpredictable, I also prefer to constantly changes positions. I am rather restless when it comes to work once I get bored that's it....I am already trying to learn another skill or completing another interview for a different job.

I have my MC in scorpio , conjuncting pluto ... I'm studying chemical engineering , 4th year in college

I don't like to delve deep into things as they describe Pluto/scorpio MC, However I love to uncover the secrets and hidden facts in pursuing my education

When I ask people to guess my sun sign , 9 out 10 people say Scorpio which I find very weird since I don't want to represent myself as scorpionic , I always focus on projecting myself as an Aqua ( which is my ASC )

OMG, chemical engineer; I feel like such a losah lol
I have MC in Libra, straddled by Saturn and Pluto on each side by about a 3-4 degree orb, with Mars conjunct Jupiter in Scorp in the 10th. But I don't know if people consider the aspects of the planets *to* the MC or the ruler of the MC more meaningful. I have Venus (ruler) in Cancer in the 7th square Pluto/inconjunct Neptune in Sag and asc in Sag/ and sextile Chiron in the 5th if that counts, NN in 7th Cancer too. I posted my chart on the personal readings forum, and a kind lady there told me that my destiny lies in family matters-not the show LOL. Erm...otie..
I guess that's cool. I'm not 100% on the idea of Ever having kids (my boyfriend's Mom asked us when we were going to, and our -OK, my- answer was "Oh, we're just too mean...they wouldn't have a happy childhood").
But family doesn't always mean kids, maybe I'll join a hippie commune like I've always wanted to (Moon in Taurus?).
The lady that looked at my chart said that until I fulfill that part of my chart, that career (public image, I guess) matters will come second. Which probably explains why I really really resent having to work 9to5ers to get by (which I'm not presently BTW, sos I have so much time to spend here!).
edit-haha, as if *everyone* doesn't resent 9to5's

Nice! I’ve actually never been to Canada, but I’m sure it’s fun living there for school!

MN is probably one of the least interesting places to be lol

Good point, that’s definitely relevant too...

It’s interesting to read everyone’s responses, I know a person’s *career* can change many times in their lives, I’m just curious to know how the MC matches up with people’s overall patterns and goals, and whether it’s more of a “public image” that you create for yourself or that others project onto you…

I don't know why I think that career or education is strongly related to mercury and mars ... never felt that my own MC is related to my career ...
I think it's the image people have created about you ...and it has NOTHING to do about you ...
one thing that ****** me off a lot , a week ago, a girl in college told me that I'm basically a prostitute dressed as a student!!
and other people think I succeed because I have a " good " relationship with the profs

but what makes your career, your motivation .... i think it's about mercury and mars, again that's my opinion

I have a Virgo MC in the 'eerie' 29th degree, but it doesn't scare me too much.

I have MC sextile Pluto and Mars. Both Pluto and Mars are in water houses, Pluto H12 and Mars H8. I feel that this gives my MC a very Scorpionic theme. I am very interested in writing and publishing, but often disturbing, controversial and/or unusual material that can be polarizing and seen as eccentric. I have no fears in showing the darker side of life with my fiction, which I feel should be shown. I don't need to write about the paranormal or a romantic triangle to become famous. I can become famous writing about the every day and wrenching people's hearts. This is what my MC is reassuring me I can do!

My MC also makes a loose conjunction to my Moon. I feel this means that I was destined to show my emotional self to the public, and that people will see me as someone with a greater emotional depth, and maybe pain. I say this because I have the Moon in hard aspect to Chiron and I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve, I am bad at hiding my pain. I also have Chiron conjunct Pholus, which I believe makes me express my pain through outburst and emotional displays versus healing the wound slowly over time. I think this all plays into affecting my MC.

Neptune and Uranus trine my MC makes me want to contribute something very artistic but unusual to the world. Once again I feel that this contributes to why I enjoy writing and creating artistic material that is more on the controversial side, yet still very passionate and often quite melancholic, focusing on the suffering and pain of other people who have died in tragedy, live in loneliness, deal with substance abuse, etc. etc. Many of my screenplays are like this.

My MC is located at 18º Cancer.

Most people who meet me almost immediately tell me, "You seem like you're really good with kids. You just seem like one of 'those' people." Indeed, this is true. Kids always gravitate toward me and/or will stare with interest from afar. Parents ask me to watch their kids all the time - since I was 13, I've been a male babysitter, which seems to fit the Cancer MC perfectly. I'm known far and wide for "being good with kids."

18º Cancer is located within the Scorpio decan, and I'm studying Child Psychology at school. This seems like the perfect fusion of Cancer/Scorpio energy. (I had picked this major before becoming involved with Astrology.) I suppose I am known for being very emotionally brave/no BS, which is also very 2nd decan Cancer.

As a child, I was a very renowned classical music performer in the Tri-State Area. Having just moved back to the area in which I grew up, I'm reminded daily of just how much my reputation is imbued with the performing arts activities I engaged in as a youngster. I'm known as "the opera kid" or "the actor kid". I have Venus-Pluto conjunct at 19º Scorpio forming a tight trine to my MC.

Finally, though it's probably genetics for the most part, I have always and still do look like the spitting image of my mother, despite my being male. People confuse us for siblings all the time. I always thought this had something to do with Cancer on the MC. We most definitely have always had a very special bond, typical of Cancer MC.

"The MC represents what we strive to be publically known as.
I think it's the image people have created about you ...and it has NOTHING to do about you"

HMMM..
MY midheaven is 21 degrees Aquarius with saturn placed there. Sun semisquare, moon sextile, saturn & neptune semisextile, mercury venus trine it, mars square mc, pluto square it and mc trine it.

The image I brought to the public, from past experiences was this very unconventional, rebellious trend-setter. I had a lot of friends, was involved in a lot of organizations/trends and played a key role. But because of my excessive worrying over the subject at hand, I... BECAME ALL AQUARIAN-LIKE!

Aquarius MC [Website definition]:
"You bring an unconventional attitude to your life's work, and love excitement, glamour and originality. You're willing to follow a genius idea to its fruition, even if that means bucking tradition and being labeled a rebel in your field. It's possible, you'll make sudden breakthroughs that gain you notoriety. You are challenged by gadgets and cosmic science, and could be drawn into astronomy, astrology, computer science, engineering. But you're just as likely to ride the currents of trends, in fashion, design, experimental art and music. You may make your mark as an instigator for social change, especially progressive causes that you believe will better humanity. You might find special interest in the idea of extra-terrestrial life, and pursue it as part of your quest to go beyond the usual limits of thought."

Saturn MC [Website definition]
Saturn just makes it more serious, professional, focussed and ambitious.

Mine is at 7 degree Libra it is exactly opposite Mars and square Neptune.

I have issues pleasing people and also doing what I want, there is also this conflict between doing a very feminine job like working at a boutique or doing something very utilitarian.

My Venus is also in the 7th H in Gemini and that just adds to the airy and whimsical side of me.

I come off as very feminine and sweet and it bothers me because I want to be taken seriously. I do have Aries mars after all, yet I'm constantly being narrowed down as the sweet and polite girl that will do whatever you ask her at work.
