There is a lot of talk of venus/pluto.

Im curious how different signs of venus are affected by pluto..

Example
I have venus in cancer sq pluto in libra
in my natal.
Whats the difference with someone that has Cap Venus sq Pluto in their natal.

Would there be a difference? Or would it just be "pluto"
or would both just be similar to Scorpio Venus..

What are your thoughts?

It's funny you should bring this up. I was tempted to post about this very topic earlier today, but thought to myself, "who would really care?"

What prompted my interest was a documentary I watched earlier today entitled "Britney Spears: Fall From Grace". It was one that aired a few years back, amidst her psychological breakdown, but it prompted me to look up her chart to see what was going on. "Lack of self-love", "compulsive self-destruction", and "sexually inexhaustible" seemed to be running themes throughout the documentary; they all sounded hard Venus/Pluto to me.

Low and behold, Britney has an exact square between Venus at 25' Capricorn and Pluto at 25' Libra. I'm not saying I attribute all of her shortcomings to her Venus/Pluto square, but I'd say this is where a majority of her self-destruction stems from. As a Libra AC, Venus in her ruling planet, so it makes Venus' condition that much more pertinent. Venus/Pluto is very telling of her supposed infidelity while still with Justin Timberlake, her compulsion to marry Kevin Federline despite THE WORLD being against their union, and then of course the wretched 3 years that followed these pairings.

This is the essence of Venus/Pluto: one can be so laid-back and lasseiz-faire in any other area of life, but when it comes to the things and people they love, and their desire to be loved, they find themselves overwhelmed by compulsion to those very things- an inner drive to satiate a desire that will never truly be satisfied- this is Pluto tickling Venus. With the squares, especially, I would imagine this would be more difficult than the conjunction or opposition, because at least there, the native has the hope of merging both energies. The square just seems so dysfunctional. Squares, in my opinion, are very immature in their energy, and just want what they want, when they want, though it's usually in the most detrimental way. (As someone with many squares, I speak from experience.)

I have a Venus/Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. I don't think it gets more Scorpionic than that. I am a Libra AC myself, so like Britney, Venus is my ruling planet. I am always very wary of those with Venus/Pluto hard aspects; this is a potentially highly manipulative/charismatic combo that yields powerful reactions from others.

I would say Venus in Scorpio by itself is a very passionate placement, but with Pluto in tow is where you find the obsession and compulsion. Thus, I would think the obsession and compulsion would apply to any Venus/Pluto contact, especially to water Venuses, as you mentioned, like in Cancer. I would think Venus in Capricorn square Pluto would want to maintain a dignified, solemn nature as long as they could, only to succumb to Pluto hardcore after years of trying to suppress their need for intensity. Remember that Pluto represents the inner demon who just wants more, more, more. You can try to ignore it, but it'll just screw you that much harder in the end.

How do you think the dynamic plays out in your life? Please share

Venus in Aquarius square Pluto in Scorpio, I kind of disagree with Venus /Pluto being manipulative,I am not manipulative, I meet manipulative people unfortunately.

Thanks for answering.. Im not really sure how to explain the energy for me..
I do in a way get obsessed with who ever I am dating, but not in a psycho way.. I just want to spend as much time with them as possible..
I feel like I really really like this person.. Then BAM, they do something wrong, or offend me and then I want nothing to do with the person.. All the feelings the I like this person is just gone... Now Even though I feel like this, I know Im not in love.. I just really into this person...
But at the same time I do maintain my own control..

I will have to think more on this one.. Not sure how to explain the energy.

ah, interesting, I see a difference right away, you say that if the person hurts or betrays you, you lose interest. But in my case Venus and Pluto are both in fixed signs, so I have an extremely hard time letting go even if they have seriously violated my trust, its even harder getting them off my mind.

Interesting.
(with the exception of fishy)
Under normal circumstances, I just fall out of "like"
Im extremely fixed person.. 4 planets in Leo, I just walk away (BUT I do have uranus in H7 also) so maybe its just me...

I have pluto and Uranus in H7.. At first I am completely and totally into the person.. Then it just fades and I dont feel it any more..

My relationships have been like doing it "all" in a couple of months, then there's nothing else to do, so then bye... The intensity dies down.
I think I really need the intense feelings, w/o them I get bored and it just doesnt work for me anymore..

I don't know that its just you, a lot of people seem to have that problem, me and my Taurus moon can't comprehend it.

I am the opposite, I fall faster, but unlike most people, my feelings don't fade away suddenly,it always annoys me how girls I have been involved with me suddenly go ice cold for no reason, they just get"bored". When I get involved with someone it is because I like them and their personalities,if I like someone initially it is extemely unlikely that my feelings would change.

An astrologer said to me about this aspect once, that others will try to use my sexual energy for their own benefit. Does that make sense to you Lioness? That was about 8 yrs ago and I still don't understand what she meant, and that was her clarification after an even vaguer statement...........

That occurred to me, but how often does that happen in relations between people you know..they can't all have Ve/Pl sq can they (?) I'm still searching for a hidden meaning lol. Anyway it's funny what you say re:Venus in Cancer. I have Venus conj Moon and I feel the way that your position is said to feel. My sq is complicated by that fact actually, the addition of the Moon. It doesn't complicate my love life, but in the analysis it adds in an extra element vs. someone with a more pure sq between the 2. So even tho it's in Capricorn, it feels often like a Venus in Cancer. So that's why I prob won't be able to add much to the discussion re:main topic.

Maybe she was saying venus/square pluto makes you a highly sexual and others feed off of your sexuality, Especially the opposite sex as they feel a strong sexual desire.

I have a t-square with Venus/pluto/Jupiter

Pluto being the apex...
It seems as my relationships are lessons, and once I learn that lesson. Im ready to move on..

Yea possibly...I guess we'd need more women with this to chime in.
Re: the signs actually I might be able to add something.
I see a significance with the Pluto in Libra generation. A Venus/Pluto dynamic on its own, and then when Pluto in Libra is disposited by a Venus in sq to Pluto, there might be a tendency for the equilibrium of a relationship to be difficult to establish. Pluto in Libra was when divorce rates went up, so-called broken homes as a result, and all in the name of establishing a self in the relationship, calling out anything amiss, not turning the other cheek. I know for me, as Pluto in Libra w.Venus/Pluto, I am v.quick to call it off when the other party is not willing to meet me half way. I can't stand for someone to be 'half' into the relationship. And I also can not for the life of me understand people who stay in relationships for secondary gains, the type that feels unable to walk away even tho it is on the rocks and going nowhere and fast. This is contrary to my Venus in Capricorn who would typically rough it out. But even that Venus is disposited by Saturn which is conj Pluto, so there it is again. Actually the Saturn/Pluto conj might just add to my hardened stance on the matter.
A Pluto in Scorp with this aspect, I think might struggle more with the quality of a relationship as do-or-die, quite melodramatic about it. But then the sign and dispositor of Venus would come into play to complicate matters. And other aspects obv. It would either be Aqua or Leo in a strong sq, Leo would def add to the drama, and the drama might be seen as embellishing the ego, it might fuel a creative impulse. But Aqua might be turned off by the complications of this aspect since it's nature is anathema to their standard Venus approach to relating. An Aqua/Scorp dynamic anywhere in the chart is difficult to reconcile because they are both sure of what they want, and they want such different things.

Anyway, Scorpio and Aquarius aren't polar opposites or anything. Uranus IS exalted in Scorpio. They're on different planes (mental vs emotional), but are both about addressing what society deems forbidden/taboo and transforming/revolutionalizing, when necessary. Getting rid of what's no longer of service - Scorpio at the individual level, Aquarius at the collective.

Obviously, you can pretend to ignore me but you actually fail at ignoring the contents of my posts. EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE. HA HA

I have venus in taurus/11th square pluto in leo/2nd. to be frank I fall for pluto, for plutonic men and intense sexual experiences. It has been a drama in my life to try to forge relationships based on intense sexual experiences. Later in my life I had relationships based on friendship (11th) to protect myself against the selfdestructive character of my partnering, because the men I am deeply attracted to usually do not satisfy my intellectual or emotional needs. Pluto rules my 5th and in transit it is approaching its opposition to my sun, uranus (ruler of 7th + 8th) and mars (ruler mc), so I know that all those issues are now coming back. it will be interesting for me how I will cope with it in the future, now with all my experience and the wisdom of astrology....
