Man, I wish I knew more about Vedic than I do. Many years ago, I studied it, but I'd love to learn more.

Imagine I've clicked an invisible 'Like' button in general here regarding your post. That really strikes me as a Sun-Neptune bond / experience; especially synastrically.

@ lonake, I understand it must be frustrating listening to me, because I know how it is to see someone struggling with something that comes easy to me,its very frustrating. But being confident in general is a struggle for me , its even worse when it comes to dating/ relationships where I have had lots of issues. My brother is a triple leo, sun, moon, and ascendant. With sun, Mars, moon, and Venus in the first house, so he has a naturally magnetic personality without even trying he has girls begging to date him,I don't have that luxury, but he gets on to me for not being confident with women and I try to explain to him that I have had bad experiences with women, but he can't understand why I'm not confident anyway, because he just hasn't had the problems I have. he is a natural womanizer,so of Course he is confident, I haven't had all the success so naturally confidence isn't going to be automatic for me. I know I know I sound super negative, but I really do try to work on my problems, but I still have these days where I have the screw it! I give up attitude.

Ok. I have a loose air-fire grand sextile and Neptune is a part of it so I guess that makes my whole chart a puddle.

Explains a lot!

But Neptune is conjunct Venus. I don't think my Venus is harmed by Neptune or helped by it. It's just a quality of love that I have, which has its pros and cons.

I will check back for your chart Aquaguy. IF your Sun is within 10 degrees of the ASC, it does not count as 12th house. The self doubt you are describing sounds like Saturn, to me. Later, we can look at your brother's chart, briefly as I bet he has a strong Jupiter/Saggi. Jupiter gives that swagger of self confidence where they think no ill will come to them, and as it happens, it seem to be the case

Also, you may have some asteroids conjunct your ASC or moon which could make for self doubt. Have you checked your asteroid profile?

Here is mine.

Poseidon Focused Personal Environment

quote:
There are some liabilities to Neptune's influences here. There may be sources of affliction in connection with one or both parents. Your private life is rather mysterious, subtle, strange, and one in which both supreme joy and intense sadness can occur.

Poseidon Focused Sagittarius (Poseidon's Fire)

quote:
This placement should produce a generation of extreme idealists. Even with older people, this energy has brought about a religious revival unparalleled in this century. As is characteristic of both Neptune and Sagittarius, most of these religions are sects from other countries such as India, and their teachings are quite foreign to Western tradition. Wrought or overwrought? You have a fine sense of appreciation and are very attentive. You love to help out and take care of others, expressing a first-rate sense of compassion. You possess an almost infinite ability to respond to the needs and demands of others. Fragile, refined, you are perhaps too prudish.

Neptune in Sagittarius when well aspected increases the inspirational, devotional and religious tendencies in the horoscope. It brings dreams, visions, and occult experiences. There is love of travel and a great enjoyment of the pleasures thus obtained. When Neptune is afflicted in Sagittarius the subjects become liable to fears and forebodings; dreams of danger and visions of distress prey upon the mind, making life miserable. Sometimes they have great desires to travel but are unable to gratify them, or if they do they have trouble or accidents to contend with.

Poseidon In Relation Midheaven

quote:
A shift in moods and attitudes occurs with this position. You are emotionally and psychically very sensitive, but often it is difficult for you to clearly express what you are feeling.

Poseidon Tension Ares

quote:
The square aspect can pose a variety of inner tensions and compulsions that are difficult to acknowledge and integrate properly. Most of your impulses arise from the unconscious mind, and so it can be difficult to perceive them correctly or to understand their nature. Squares involve frustration, and here both the energies of Mars and Neptune are mutually inhibiting, creating distortions in both their favored ways of expression. Even the inner energy flow is distorted, with the Martian energy taking on an intermittent current, ranging from an obsessive urge for action (or release) to almost disappearing at times, leaving you with a minimum of motivation and vitality. Often the Neptune energy emerges in its distorted nature, in that there can be disconcerting emotional impulses, strange imaginations and obsessions.

Poseidon Tension Ascendant

quote:
You could feel much more intuitive and psychic than heretofore possible. You may sense and feel things that others do not. It is not a time when you are at your most practical; you lose yourself in home and family.

Poseidon Cooperating Zeus

quote:
This vision is probably radical in nature, and often veering to the 'New Age' perspective. You are alert and aware enough of social conditions, desires and needs, yet you also add a broader perspective to what is currently occurring and what needs to occur in order to build a brighter future. You are capable of an analysis of modern social problems, seeing intrinsic dangers there, and can be articulate in raising these issues. You may become involved in groups that are public voices for such concerns, those minority pressure groups that perform such an essential public service in the Western world. The failings of established political, religious and social power blocs should be recognized, although you may choose to work within them as an influence for inner change.

You value individualism highly, and see how others can be unconsciously swept along by powerful ideologies and socially acceptable ways of behaving. This can encourage you to make your own stand against any negative social ideologies that are currently powerful, even those emanating from governments and the churches. You may become a publicist for your ideas and those of affinity groups in an attempt to alert public attention to what is occurring. Idealism will be vitally important to you, and you will feel quite passionate about those ideals.

Poseidon Cooperating Chronos

quote:
What can inspire many of your efforts is a reaction against social injustice and foolishness. Fairness is one attitude that you support, and opposing social aspects where unfairness and injustics is being expressed can almost become a personal crusade. Social discrimination and taking social advantage of those unable to resist can cause your passions to rise, leading to social activism designed to resist such encroachments on individual rights and liberties. You dislike seeing the waste of resources, social and material ones as well as the waste of human potential. This can lead to supporting human-potential-raising groups, or ecological activists calling for new attitudes towards the excessive negative exploitation of nature's reserves. You tend to have a social vision of harmony, where equity is achieved and social respect for all is found, rather than any unbalanced divisive situation of haves and have-nots. Concepts of the values of community or global thinking will be preferred, and you like to believe that what you are attempting is beneficial to others.

Poseidon Cooperating Hades

quote:
The attempts to understand the nature of the universe, its composition and size, the possible creation of the universe and the 'big bang theory' reflect the traditional Western way of looking externally. What has paralleled this tendency has been the birth of an opposite movement amongst people, that of self-exploration, the inner mystical way. This has been through the New Age movement, humanistic / Jungian psychology, occult techniques, and the rebirth of magical attitudes towards life. It has also involved the grafting onto the Western tree of many of the attitudes and much of the knowledge of Eastern philosophies and religions; a merging of the two hemispheres; a potential unification of belief structures reflecting the scientific movement towards a more mystically orientated quantum physics.

Tri-Powered

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poseidon

quote:
Poseidon is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon in Greek mythology. His main domain is the ocean, and he is called the "God of the Sea". Additionally, he is referred to as "Earth-Shaker" due to his role in causing earthquakes, and has been called the "tamer of horses".

Ami Anne,

Wow, I haven't heard of this before. So, my n.Sun is at 26 degrees Aries in the 12th, and my ASC is 6 degrees Taurus. Do I fall in that spectrum? Is my Sun more like an ASC conjunction?

I have Neptune conjunct Uranus in the 2nd house.

I feel like rather than having anxiety about not knowing how to make a living, I feel like the only way I will ever be able to make a living is through the arts.

I have Neptune trine the MC, my Moon, Lilith and sextile Venus and Jupiter as well. I feel like Neptune adds a real depth to myself. I try to be positive over negative about it. Mastering Neptune IMO is also showing where we have profound thoughts, visions and intuition in life. I have a great feeling inside of me that convinces me to try life in the entertainment business and in publishing, because any other idea makes me have a bad feeling. Neptune is to trust in your feeling as well... so to give into its anxiety inducing haze is to only see the immature side of the planet and what it brings.

the sun and Saturn are pretty much smack dab in the middle of the twelfth house. And part of my problem is the sun, its double trouble, I get discouraged very easily and dissapear into my shell when I feel like I'm not being recognized, heard or appreciated.what hurts the most is how people just don't get how it hurts me not to get recognition, because they get that recognition and affirmation and thus take it for granted and don't see it as a big deal, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they would also feel shortchanged if they were overlooked and not appreciated. Yes, I am deeply hurt when I work my a** off at my job and my boss never once says thank you for what you do or good job! And people can call me a baby or tell me I need to let my ego go all they want, it sucks never being recognized or appreciated, most people just cannot seem to grasp that simple concept because they haven't walked in my shoes.

You didn't tell me you have a 12th House Saturn! Do you? Your Sun is within the 10 degree orb to the ASC, right? I would not call that 12th house. If you have the Saturn there. THAT is your trouble. WE can talk about it. If you do have Saturn there, I will start a new thread if you want to explore it. I would like to learn about it and I think I could offer you some help, too.
