I am currently reading Linda Goodman - Star Signs. So far, i really like the book. The only thing that made me even take a break (I spent my memorial day reading over one hundred pages) was the numerology chapter.. It said that the astrology and numerology are "inseparably connected" or along those lines What are your personal experiences on the matter of numerology? (I understand this thread may have to be moved - but I posted it here to reach an audience who might have just picked up stars signs without being already sold on numerology like me) IP: Logged |

I think there is something to that theory, my numerology stuff also seems to have an aqua/ sag theme.IP: Logged |

Ooh yes! I found numerology a little while after astrology and I was very interested in that for a while. (I still am but due to the limited material I could find on it it's had to take a backseat.) Everything in my readings mirrors my birth chart. I also have a Aquarius/Sagittarius theme to mine which is very fitting. IP: Logged |

Astrology, tarot, gematria (numerology) and the like are all connected. It's kinda interesting how they interact and overlap but gematria generally didn't interest me much specifically. I'm not certain but I think Spiral Dance by Starhawk has an appendix that helps with understanding that, but if that doesn't work then a much more boring (IMO) book is 777aOQWoAC has a chart. Oh, look what I found! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrology_and_numerology IP: Logged |

I can kind of relate to Numerology, but it doesn't seem to be so fitting for other people I know.. I'm not very well-versed in Numerology though so I'm probably missing some things.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I've looked into numerology a lot, too, and have also found it reflects what astrologers have told me about my natal chart. It's pretty cool how that works. It also reflects a lot of the sagittarian/uranus/cancerian theme in my chart.------------------ Imagination is intelligence having fun. —George Scialabba $3.50 ebay compatibility readings IP: Logged |

I'm a 9 but my core is 6. Makes sense with astrology (6 being ruled by Venus, my Moon is in Libra. 9 is Sag, I have strong Sag energies in my chart).IP: Logged |

I'm a six in numerology...six is supposed to be about responsibility and that's definitely something I have to learn about in this lifetime! Does your life path number suit you, peach? From what I'm reading, it sounds about right...IP: Logged |

My life path number is a 8 in Numerology. Albeit I do not see the connection Astrology-wise. Personal experiences: I used to read up on it and the Enneagream. Currently I am bewildered with the various personalities. So many of them! Agh!! (lol) When I have time, I'll further my studies. Type 8 We're successful albeit a little cold. We're the WARRIORS!

I love both. Still researching Numerology. I read STAR SIGNS and thought it wasn't up to par with SUN SIGNS. This was after reading, what I consider, an excellent book by a vedic numerologist. In numerology I only look at three numbers; birthday #, lifepath # and name number. With the name number there are a couple different alphabet conversions out there; Chaldean, Vedic, & Pythagoras. I prefer the Chaldean alphabet, where NEWH all have a 5 value. In the Pythagoras alphabet my first name has a 2 vibration. In Chaldean its a 1 vibration. Being a name # 1 fits me better than a 2. #2 is said to be a needy number that puts emphasis on partnerships and being part of a team/coupling. #1s, when not chasing power, will place value on being independence, and going their own way, doing their own thing. Kinda standoffish, solitary, singular, lonely. Yes, yes this is me. From my understanding, the name # is akin to the Ascendant. birthday # is like the Sun, and lifepath is akin to Moon sign.
