Topic: When reading/listening to horoscopes, what sign should I use for max. accuracy?

I listen to a lot of youtube horoscopes that go by rising sign, and seeing as I'm 27' Gemini, shouldn't I listen to the Cancer one... because surely when it comes to transits, that's going to be more accurate for me? If not explain why? IP: Logged |

oh, and because that's how astrologers come up with the horoscope forecasts. They will be using a chart based on each rising sign, so the planets transiting the houses will be more accurate and make more sense to you if you read your rising sign.of course, even those can be a bit off because everyone's house system is different and they don't usually start at zero degrees of each sign. Many people read both. I read Aquarius because it's intercepted in my 1st and the transits are closer to correct in my personal chart that way. It makes for a more accurate forecast. This problem always confounds me too. I have Sun at 29 deg Scorpio but 4 biggies in Sag( Neptune-ruler of Asc, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury). So am I a Sag or a Scorp? Which forecast will fit me more accurately?IP: Logged |

For example, since my Gemini rising starts so late, I won't be feeling the effects of Jupiter in the 1st house for a long time, for most of the time it's in Cancer it will be transiting my 1st house, and while in Gemini it will be in my 12th, not my 1st as the horoscope describes... do you see what I mean. I also don't understand how sun horoscopes can ever be accurate...IP: Logged |

Yea you're making sense. I'd read for Cancer. But it also depends on how even your houses are. If you know enough astro you'll be able to see what influences they're mentioning just in case they don't spell it out.I like this guy - davidcammegh1 IP: Logged |

The sun. Period.It's the core of who you are. You are one sign and one sign only. There's no point in reading other horoscopes, unless for a friend or something. Other planets/placements will obviously color your personality, but the sun is your base. Always. IP: Logged |

How? If you have a Scorpio rising and the current moon was in Libra it would be transiting your 12th house, most likely. But say if you have a Sun in Taurus, that would be fixed in the 7th house...
