H5 Aquarius

It has to involve other people. But I feel that my gaming is reflective of my Aries Mars : has to have a goal, competition and Virgo Merc : strategic.

I love all sorts of new games, and as a kid, loved to invent them as well.

Awesome thread. This seems like a lot of fun!

5H Aries. Mars in the 8th in Cancer.

I'm a huge Resident Evil fan. I love games with a lot of action and intensity, the supernatural and survival horror...Fitting for the 8H Mars placement I think. ;')

I also love games that are dark in horror, and deal with the psychological and suspenseful. One really great underrated horror game is American McGee's Alice. They put out a sequel in 2011 but the original is much more morbid and macabre. It's about what Alice in Wonderland would be like with Alice in an insane asylum. Chris Vrenna from NIN did the soundtrack and it is amazing!

Cool, another RE fan. That's awesome! *virtual high five* I love to connect with other fans of survival horror, it's a favorite of mine.

I don't like sports related games either. Don't see the point of them at all.

Roleplaying. WE were roleplaying a LOT, and it often felt so real.

And with my family I liked to play
Trivial Pursuit
and Scotland Yard

just because I loved the London-map so much. lol

We played cards as well, and other games. WE had a nintendo, but I never really got into video games.
I would be preferring reading a book or inventing and acting out my own stories.

5th house Gemini with Gemini in the first house in Aquarius.

I change games a lot.I don't have a favorite per se but games that I get hooked on for a while.

Right now I'm playing a decent amount of football manager 12 which is a detailed soccer simulation game that is even used by professional soccer clubs.

Yay! Fellow gamers galore! I thought I was the only one on this forum . And such diverse preferences!

Moonfish, Mirror's Edge is such a revolutionary mix of genres that it just can't be pigeonholed into one particular category. Its a brilliant Platformer, action/Adventure, FPS action, and puzzle game with such an amazing protagonist. My wife is a big fan of the game.

Anyway, my 5th house is in Sagittarius.

I have preferences in all given categories you posted Moonfish Lol! I love videogames, I love board games and I love sports!

Videogames:

Both me and my wife love VGs! To me, the interactive quality of this media is right on par with movies. I would actually argue that VGs are better than movies since the interactivity of this genre is outstanding and it allows the player to truly immerse him/herself in the role of the protagonist.

I don't have one particular fav. I have a fav. in each and every given VG genre.

However, there are a few series I find myself getting immersed in way too often because of their amazing storylines and beautiful gameplay.

Platformer/Action-Adventure: The Assassin's Creed series.

I LOVE this series! The storyline is outstanding and sooo immersive! And the characters are so unique and complex! The fact that it uses real historical events and settings within the gameplay frame makes it all the more appealing to me (I am a huge history buff Lol!)

If you haven't played the Assassin's Creed game, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! PLAY THEM!

I have gotten a chance to try the newest game in the series (Assassin's Creed 3) and I will get the privilege of trying it out again at the Fanexpo .

RTS/Strategy game: Starcraft 2.

I am a huge RTS buff and to me, a well made RTS game shimmers with the elegance and calculative imagination of Chess. Hence why I am a huge fan of Starcraft. The strategy limitations are just about as much as your mind's limitations. If you want to develop your quick-thinking and problem solving skills, I suggest you play this game .

Tactical Story Driven Action/Adventure: Metal Gear Solid series.

Possibly the BEST gaming series ever made! The immersive storyline, The complex plot and twists, the Amazingly deep and intriguing characters... Oh there is just so much I can go and on about when it comes to this series!

- The story line was absolutely phenominal. The game never focused on one character alone. There is no definate good or bad in the game. Even the bad guys had heart wrenching stories about their past (Sniper Wolf has to be the most heart felt antagonist to greet any game.) Even the side characters like Grey Fox (My Personal Fav.) had qualitites and characteristics about his that made him an admirable friend/foe.

- The game play is just brilliant. The Sneaking, the strategizing, the methodical infiltration... It just can't be beat. This game isn't your conventional RPG; Its a whhooole lot more. The camera angles and the stealth aspect of the game was a wonderful input which later on inspired the Splinter Cell series.

- MGS female characters (Most of them anyway) broke away from the usual cliche of Bimbos in clad strappings or girly girls. They gave something more to the game that just a set of knockers.

All in all the game series was wayyy ahead of its time.

Alright, that covers the VG part of my discussion Lol!

Sports:

I LOVE Sports! May it be team oriented sports or solo competitions/activities. When it comes to team sports, I love American Football, Soccer, Volleyball (particularly, beach volleyball,) and Hockey.

Solo activities include Running/Sprinting, Swimming, rock climbing, Judo, and a hell of a lot of unorthodox extreme sports I am a huge fan of extreme sports! I have already gotten my Solo Jump instructor certificate for Skydiving and want to make my way onto Wing Suit certification.

I recently have developed a taste for Kite Surfing as well; I posted a few pics from that in the LLC section of this forum.

Board Games:

HUGE fan of chess! Been playing it since I was a weee little kid Lol! My wife and I have a tradition of playing atleast one session of chess every day. Its relaxing and it has other benefits as well *Winkidy wink.*

5h Aries.

I love the Sims 2 and classic Nintendo/Super Nintendo (as in, SNES and NES). I have a few favorite games on those systems. Yeah, I know, they're outdated, but they're still fun for me; I played them as a kid and grew up with them. I like RPG video games sometimes. I like Paper Mario on the Wii.

I don't play a lot of games, though.

I love designing my house on the Sims 2, though I can never decide which style to go with and I can take forever decorating.

Yay, another fun thread by Moonfish!

Neptune/Venus in Sag, 5H.

I really like outdoor games: playing with a bouncy ball with my kids, drawing hopscotch blocks on the driveway, playing horseshoes, swinging or pushing kids on the swing. Trampolines. Bad tennis.

Playing chess with them is no fun since they always beat me even though I try my best to win.

Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, etcetera: I leave that to my husband. It's uncanny how much patience he has for those games...but he has Saturn in the 5H, so he has time to spare for long games, I guess.
