I do articles on House Rulers and everyone yawns. So, you have reduced me to cheap tricks Here we go—Passion, Passion, Passion.

The Elements(Fire, Air, Earth, Water) —-Fire Signs(Aries, Leo and Saggitarius) may be the Kings of passion. They don’t call them fire, for nothing. Compared to Air signs such as Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, Fire is much more passionate. Earth Signs( Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) are more earthly, in their sexual nature.Earth loves exploring all his senses, including his sensuality. However, he loves all kinds of hugs and kisses and warmth and is not limited to actual passion, as his favorite palette. The Air Signs may prefer fantasy or just hearing you talk, as in Gemini. Water signs(Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) like tenderness and soul, as the root of passion. Pluto being the ruler of Scorpio makes Scorpio rev up in passion compared to Cancer or Scorpio. Even bad boy Scorpio is looking for his one and only soul mate. It just takes him so long. However, he will be loyal, once he finds her.

Pluto–The people who have a strong Pluto are more primal and with that, more passionate. This would include the Scorpio Ascendant, which has Pluto as his Chart Ruler, by definition. If Pluto conjuncts a personal planet such as the Sun, Moon, Mercury,Mars or Venus, you will have a more passionate person. Pluto makes passionate what it touches.

Pluto in Synastry–If you are not a particularly passionate person, such as someone who is high in Air like a Gemini, you may experience Pluto’s passion when someone touches your Gemini planets with his Pluto. This is, virtually, like you had the Pluto, in the natal chart. Synastry is like getting the other planet, by proxy.

Eros–A person with a strong Eros will be more passionate than someone who does not. His passion will be erotic as opposed to just lusty. By a strong Eros, I mean conjunct a pivotal point in the chart such as the Ascendant, MC, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars or Venus.

Lilith–A person with Lilith prominent in the chart will have more raw sexual passion that someone who does not.

8th House Stellium– A person with 3 or more planets in the 8th House will be more passionate than someone who has a stellium in any of the other houses. The 8th House is unique in being THE most passionate House in the Zodiac. This is because it is ruled by the sign of Scorpio. (You do not need to have Scorpio on your 8th House cusp) Scorpio is , simply, the Ruler of the 8th House, in general.

People with a strong Mars—People who have Mars conjunct a pivotal point in the chart will be more passionate. Mars is one’s drives. A person with a strong Mars will have stronger drives, in general. Their sexual drive will follow suit. A strong Mars would be Mars conjunct the Ascendant, the MC or any of the personal planets such as the Sun, Moon, Mercury or Venus.

Mars in Synastry–If a person’s Mars touches your personal planets or ASC or MC, you will feel passionate toward that person, even if you are not that passionate, yourself.

Explosive but Dark Passion—If your Nessus or Dejanira is touching someone’s personal planets, Ascendant or MC, or other asteroids, related to passion, you may have obsession. In fact, I have seen in it, in every case. Passion Asteroids would include(but not be limited to) Eros, Sappho and Lilith.

South Node–If you have Pluto, Mars or a passion asteroid such as Eros, Lilith, Bacche, Pan, Sappho or others, conjunct your South Node, you will be very passionate. The SN is what we have already mastered.

North Node–If you have any of the above conjunct the NN, you will be very passionate, as your life purpose is to learn about them

SN in Synastry–If a person’s Ascendant, MC , personal planets or asteroids of passion, conjunct your SN, you and he will feel very, very passionate toward each other.

NN in Synastry–the same holds true for the North Node. However, with the NN, you will have a better chance of longevity of the relationship.

I'm passionate in relationships. Not romantically or sexually, but as in simply being intense. I like to really know people that I like and I want to connect with them as friends. I like to be able to feel close to people that I like and see them as they really are: I don't want to unmask them publicly, but I do want to feel like I'm on a level of sincerity and honesty with people. People that I like matter to me. I genuinely care how people I like feel and think.

I get along best with people who are also intense. I get along worst with people who are cold, unresponsive, empty, lifeless, lacking any kind of feeling, without depth, unaffected, unmoved, unresponsive, standoffish, rude, uncomfortable with exploring themselves, uncomfortable with emotions, can't access emotions or process them, can't communicate, etc.

I also have a grand trine in water.

I have a moon in the 8th house. I do feel insecure at times. It takes a lot for me to feel secure; I have to intuitively feel like someone thinks that I am OK and have to trust that person a lot before I feel secure.

If they do, it is just because they don`t know better.

Show me Venus conjunct Pluto and I say: "Nice. That could be quite intense. Let`s see what else is there."

Show me ruler of 8th house conjunct ruler of 5th or 7th house, possibly located in 1st or 5th house and I go.

HOW do you handle this intensity?

Why do I not go overboard with the Venus-Pluto-conjunction, but do so if it is 7th and 8th ruler. or even 7th house ruler conjunct Pluto?

Reason is simple. houserulers are the most unique and indiviual there exist in astrology.

Don`t get me wrong, Venus conjunct Pluto IS intense and I love seeing it, and I do get a little giddy about it, but houserulers are simply more personal, because there is only about 2 hours in one day, that this particular planet will rule the 8th house for example.
Whereas Pluto stays in orb for several weeks, sometimes even months.
(it is still great and deep and intense, it just pertains to a broader group of people than the houserulers on any given day).

For me nothing trumps Pluto-8th house- Black Moon Lilith in terms of passion, probably EROS is being right there.

For me passion always involves the soul, the urge for a merging of souls often through shared sexual intimacy.

That is why I need to differentiate the Martian Passion from a Plutonian passion.

Mars`passion to me feels more fiery, zealous, enthusiastic, an overflowing of life, very extrovert and outgoing, while Plutonic passion usually is turned inwards, or at least is more internal that Mars` fire.
It has heart and soul, whereas Mars on its own does not necesssarily touch the heart, it could also be simply for sexual gratification, more biological hormonal lust than the urge for merging with another person.

(of course if Mars is coupled with Moon, BML, Pluto or the 8th house, this will modify it quite a bit - these are probably the hottest aspects that exist, more so if Venus, the 5th or 7th house figures in as well. Heart soul and body all merged into one.)

How would you interpret 5th house ruler (Venus in the 1st) square Pluto?

Also, 8th house ruler (Sun) opposing an 8th house moon?

These have always interested me but I don't have the know how whereby I can interpret them.
