The celebrity females that you are supposed to like are mostly nothing to me.

Is this my Venus in Aquarius trait?

What would make a man find unconvential women more attractive?

I have read in many threads on here that venus is a man's chart shows what he's attracted to. So u have venus in aquarius. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't aqua ruled by uranus? Which being the planet of the unconventional and nontradition, that would make sense to me actually. I would prob check aspects to ur venus as well.

Well, I think that we have to define 'unconventional', too. There's a spectrum of 'unconventional'. To some people, a person doesn't have to be weird or outlandish to be 'unconventional', but can qualify as 'unconventional' simply if they hold unusual beliefs, hold normal beliefs but approach them in an unusual way, etc. They can be unconventionally kind, caring, compassionate, intelligent, creative, etc.: unusual in one area vs. just being really unusual across the board. People can be unconventional in some ways, but more conventional in others: conventionality (or lack thereof) can be complex. Someone can be very conventional in most of their personality, but have a few areas where they are more conventional, or vice versa, or be evenly divided between conventional vs. non-conventional.

And, too, appearances can be deceiving. Some people appear normal on the outside, and their unconventional ways are more subtle or hidden--some intentionally may appear normal as a mask or to get along in the world, while others might just be naturally inclined to be more private about who they are as people. On the other side, there are people who have an unusual style or hair or something, but on the inside are pretty normal. And, of course, there's people who are weird just to be weird and rebel, to be stubborn and oppositional, get attention, or make a statement, and people who just do their own thing because they feel like it.

On top of that, there's a spectrum in "good weird" vs. "bad weird"/"creepy weird". There's "happy weird" vs. "unhappy weird". There are superficial kinds of "weird" and kinds with more depth and sensitivity.

And then, of course, there are people who are different that are accepting, and people who are different that are snobby about it, hate things just because they're mainstream/complain about something becoming more popular, and dislike anything that's not strange or "out there"/have very particular tastes and judgmental attitudes.

And, moreover, 'unconventional' is highly relative, like a lot of things. To someone who grew up in a very conservative background, pink hair might be unconventional. To someone who grew up in a more unusual background, someone would have to be really unusual even for them. (Or, alternately, they might find someone more conservative and 'normal' unconventional as compared to other people that they normally encounter in their environment). If someone grew up among people who looked pretty similar/dressed pretty similar, they might consider someone who looks different than what they usually see as being 'unconventional', even if that person would not be 'unconventional' in a different place. Some who has blonde hair and blue eyes, for example, might be considered 'exotic' or 'unconventional' (in appearance) in a region where that is uncommon, though he/she would not be considered that way in somewhere like the US or Canada or the UK (where a lot of us posters here, though not all, are from). Someone who grew up in the West might be considered 'weird' in terms of attitudes/beliefs if they were visiting a country that's not part of the West, while in the West they'd be considered normal or average, to give another example.

So, basically, that's a long-winded Libran way of saying that people mean different things when it comes to 'unconventional'.

As for Hollywood, I like the glamor and elegance of the old Hollywood. I feel like that is missing in today's Hollywood. I really like retro looks and styles, personally, especially the 1950s.

I don't find it wrong, shallow, superficial, mindless, stupid, or otherwise "sheep-like" to appreciate beauty. When it goes too far (such as women feeling pressure to be super-skinny and perfect-looking), or when it's in a bad way/manifests negatively, that's not good, but having good taste and simply finding delight in what is beautiful and elegant doesn't make someone unintelligent or an otherwise bad person.

I also don't feel that people are ugly or bad if they fit typical beauty ideals. While I don't find everyone typically considered 'beautiful' to be 'beautiful', I don't think that someone is "wrong" or "ugly" just because they fit that image. It's not like people choose their skin color, hair color, or bone structure. Hating on people who have features that have been traditionally considered ideal isn't really fair or right. And, too, beauty is another thing that is highly relative.

For me, personally, I think that hourglass and pear shapes are the most beautiful, and don't usually find skinny women pretty, thought skinny is today's ideal. There are a few exceptions to that (Audrey Hepburn being one of them); those exceptions tend to be those women who are/were (if deceased) naturally skinny and who look(ed) healthy. Dita von Teese is an example of a "skinny-curvy" woman that I think is really beautiful: I like her style, she has gorgeous features, and I like that she doesn't bow to the pressure to tan, which causes skin cancer and premature aging (or, in the case of a lot of spray tans, people to look like Oompa Loompas). People who are naturally tan in skin tone look great, but I don't understand (or bow to) the pressure on pale folks to put ourselves at risk of cancer and early aging just to achieve that look, just as I don't like the pressure on women who naturally have pear and hourglass shapes to be stick-thin and have no curves. Basically, I think that average and healthy looks nice, and, as with a lot of things unrelated to beauty, I dislike extremes when it comes to beauty.

For men, I tend to like dark hair and eyes, but, again, there are exceptions. I've run the gamut in terms of height and build as to what I find nice-looking, but I don't get the super-toned, no chest hair, super-muscle thing. It looks too plastic. I don't like the other extreme, either, of being sloppy or heavy to the point of being unhealthy. As with women, I usually find average and healthy most appealing.

On the astrology side, I have planets in Sag (it's my rising, so those planets are in the 1st house--I use whole signs and don't believe in Placidus) but none in Aquarius, and no points/angles in Aquarius, either.

His birthday is the 1st of October, so he's actually a Libra, not a Scorp.

I loved him in "Tru Calling". Love that show and really liked his character.

I have neither Venus aspecting Uranus or Venus in Aquarius...and my taste in men runs the gamut. I have dated and crushed on guys who were short, chubby, skinny, darker skinnned, pale, mixed race, out of my race..."handsome" guys are alright, but I go for more unique looks too.

I do have Uranus in the 2nd house of values, though. I've read an article saying it can equate to Venus/Uranus.

Ewoks look like shitsus so Zachary reminds me of a shitsu!

I probably have the most conventional Venus of all. Taurus. It does aspect Uranus but it's a minor aspect.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus

Humor, music, entertainment, games or sports, and creativity of all kinds are very important for you. You can manage reasonably well in a stable, predictable routine, but you really come alive and are in your element when you can periodically play, laugh, or be a bit zany. Children can bring out the best in you by evoking your playful, creative side. Exploring many kinds of music, dance, or theater may be an interest of yours.

Anyway if by unconventional meaning of a different race then I'm in.

Lazy scarecrow. I have Uranus in h2 also. It's unaspected. Link?

Same here. Despite a heavy Cap influence, I'm unconventional and find that attractive as well.

I still have no idea what "unconventional" is. My wife's moon is like mine: Gemini.
