are you guys using the terms introversion and extroversion on a social level, or do you mean it in terms of personality?

in terms of personalities.. introverts can be highly social and open, but need a lot of 'down time' to replenish their energy. and extroverts can be quite reserved and shy, but feel 'alive' when stimulated by other people's company.

Hmm... good question. I'll have to think about that and get back to you.

In my case I was more referring to introverts and extroverts in terms of personality.
As in: introverts are people who enjoy or do not mind spending time by themselves or with few people "the state of or tendency toward being wholly or predominantly concerned with and interested in one's own mental life". Some popular writers have characterized introverts as people whose energy tends to expand through reflection and dwindle during interaction. They often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, using computers," while extroverts is :"hey take pleasure in activities that involve large social gatherings, such as parties, community activities, public demonstrations, and business or political groups. Politics, teaching, sales, managing and brokering are fields that favor extraversion. An extroverted person is likely to enjoy time spent with people and find less reward in time spent alone. They tend to be energized when around other people, and they are more prone to boredom when they are by themselves."
I'm quoting wikipedia here because I found the description to fit what I thought.
But it's a good question, does being an extrovert necessarily makes you a social person (maybe some of them have difficult y establishing human contacts easily but love when they do) and does being an introvert imply that you wouldn't be social and vice versa.

I've read in my personality report that Moon trine Jupiter is an excellent indication of popularity. Asc-Venus conjunctions, trines, moons outta do it too, since people see you as compassionate, kind.

I think Venus aspects are good, but not really as mercury aspects.

The polarity of the ASC-Sun combination matters too ; as in having your ASC & sun both in masculine and positive signs.

I guess having more than a planet in the 3H will make you extrovert as well - of course if they're well aspected.

I've also noticed that a venus-mars conjunction in an [air or fire] sign can empower any negativity channeled by the sun or the ASC and will make the person very extrovert and open.

Often it is said to look for planets above the horizon and especially on the west (DC) side. However, this is all framed up by the Asc sign/1st house. Cancer rising types - even with the same house placements - will be more introverted than fire/air rising signs.

The overall polarity of a person is seen generally in what sign is on the Asc and what is in the 1st/affecting the Asc. Earth and Water Ascendants are more reliably introverted. Fire/Air more extroverted.

As to people in general you've described a few things here, keywords of which are 'popular', which doesn't always equate to extroversion strictly speaking. Sun-Venus confers the chance to be well-liked, as does Venus-Asc and Venus-Moon. This does not equate to a person who has a lot of outwardly-driven energy and cannot stay at home.

Extroversion is marked by seeing a number of planets in Sagittarius, particularly if Sun/Mars/Jupiter/Uranus is involved.

House emphasis - look for angular action between two angular houses like 7th-10th, or similar between 3rd-9th energized by Mars/Jupiter/Uranus, etc.

I would consider myself an Sanguine ambivert.

"The sanguine temperament is fundamentally impulsive and pleasure-seeking; sanguine people are sociable and charismatic. They tend to enjoy social gatherings, making new friends and tend to be boisterous. They are usually quite creative and often daydream. However, some alone time is crucial for those of this temperament. Sanguine can also mean sensitive, compassionate and romantic. Sanguine personalities generally struggle with following tasks all the way through, are chronically late, and tend to be forgetful and sometimes a little sarcastic. Often, when they pursue a new hobby, they lose interest as soon as it ceases to be engaging or fun. They are very much people persons. They are talkative and not shy. Sanguines generally have an almost shameless nature, certain that what they are doing is right. They have no lack of confidence."

"An ambivert is normally comfortable with groups and enjoys social interaction, but also relishes time alone and away from the crowd."

And my popularity seems to fluctuate. And in school I never really had popular kid status. But there are plenty of kids who don't have that status that have a lot of friends. Sometimes it seems like I have a lot of friends and a reckless social life and I have had some rock bottom 'fml I have no friends' moments too. Right now, I have a few good friends that I go way back with that I see every so often. And I'm very about the guy I'm dating, and have been hanging out with him and his family lately. I've been away for 2 weeks and have only been invited to two shindigs from friends back at home.

Gemini Rising
Aries Sun house 11
Scorpio Moon house 6
Venus Pisces house 10

some of my aspects include
Asc square Venus
Sun sextile Mars
Sun Square Saturn
Venus trine Jupiter
Venus Sextile Mercury
Venus Sextile Uranus

People LOVE me and want to spend time with me, usually, but I hate being around ppl for long, it makes me... emotionally tired.

I'm an Aries and feel this way too. I can push through it, but I feel it all the same. I wonder if it's a fire sign thing?

Anyway, I have Sun conj. Venus, and an Aries stellium in the 11th house, and a Capricorn stellium in the 7th. I like hanging out in groups vs. one on one (unless I know the person pretty well, which I think is normal, right?) but I'm not a big initiator. The timing seems to work better when someone else is planning the event. And yes, sometimes I can be full of myself but in all fairness I can be just as hard, if not worse to myself on other days.

I'm very introvert in some situations. It takes a lot to open up... or some booze. I have really bad social anxiety sometimes.

Most of my planets are on top but on the east side.. Scorpio ASC Pluto 1H doesn't help nor does my Cap Moon Libra Venus 12H
Sun,Merc,Jupiter on my 11H.. I could be really social at times when in my own group of friends and when my confidence is high (Saturn sq. ASC) but other than that I'm a wallflower. I do like going out a lot though.
I can't say whether I'm popular or not,Idk.

I'd consider myself an introvert too although I also have sun venus conjunct. I think it may also have to do with my moon opp. uranus (not really getting close to anyone) and my mercury aspects (mostly squares). I am friendly and charming BUT in most cases I'm quiet and often told I'm "reserved". I'd rather just sit and listen and observe people than to just talk about things just to talk yano?

Some of my aspects:

Sun conjunct venus
Venus trine uranus
Venus sextile moon
Venus sextile jupiter
Mercury square neptune
Mercury square uranus
Mercury square asc

I'm guessing communication is something I'm going to have to work at since the only squares in my chart are in aspect to mercury (minus moon square mars)

I am a super introvert. One deeply independent and private person. What I can figure out from my chart would be a 12th House Saturn in Taurus (It just screams for alone time in nature etc). I have a 2nd house Moon in Cancer - which is one fussy placement for choosing friends and who comes into my life. I have to see something appealing with another person before I start to open up. Mars in Cappy in the 8th - secretive and private. I have a 12th house Mercury in Taurus and I don't really talk much in the beginning.

The Moon in Cancer helps put a rein on my Venus square Jupiter and Neptune.

In numerology ( which is a side note) - My birth path is 25/7. and it fits my introverted self quite well.
