This is a really good thing to look for. I think mars and venus is a very superficial way to look for attraction. It's one of the trendy aspects people have come to know about. It is however not the only thing to look for nor the most important thing to look for. The moon on your descendant is a very good aspect. A man generally wants what his moon is point toward. It's not so important that you are his venus archetype or not. It's the moon. So emotions> spiritual connection> trendy love aspects people fall back on> sexual aspects> basic attraction. Again this works only if you are looking for more than a booty call and superficial connection. If you are looking for sex or what have you, looking at the basic cliched sexual/attraction aspects are just fine. : ) Sun and moon is generally good but like any other aspect there is a good and bad side to it.

I had Venus conjunct Mars with two people. I am not sexually attracted to either...and one of them I can't stand and do not see living my life with, despite having ASC conjunct Node, a supposed soul mate aspect. Also, my folks have the Venus/Mars conjunction and they got divorced this year after a marriage chock full of arguments. Then again, their composite was chock full of squares. It may be because my Venus and Mars have some hard aspects in my own natal from Saturn and Pluto respectively, but I always found myself extremely attracted to those who had Mars squaring, opposite, or sextile my Moon (and vice versa) as well as their Venus to my Moon and vice versa. I also prefer Venus opposite Mars. House placements can be considered, too. Venus in the 8th or 7th house or Mars in the 5th house can be indicators. Do your elements balance out? Do you have a planet that completes their T-square? Angles are great to use and so are Sun-Moon midpoints and Sun-Venus, Moon-Venus and so on. I would not base a romantic attraction or relationship off of one aspect alone. Sun-Venus aspects are heralded as the best ones, but if you have Sun conj Saturn or Sun opposite Saturn and the other person plugs in their Venus with your sun, it may have a completely different effect than if someone has Sun conjunct Jupiter and the other person plugs their Venus there. Basically, consider all the aspects and work off of that. IP: Logged |

It's all relative. Venus Mars relate to how people "love" (Venus) versus how they act out "love" (Mars)A conjunction between the two suggests that one person loves and the other acts out in that manner. It doesn't define the love. Venus/Mars seems to work better in opposition in terms of attraction because it creates friction IP: Logged |

For me personally Venus/Mars is "just" and attraction.... If you dont have other bonding aspects once it fades its over.. Venus/Mars to me is that one person you go out with for a month, then get annoyed and move on.. I much rather have other sexual attraction aspects, that are bonding venus/pluto moon/pluto etc.. With fishy we dont have any venus/mars whats so ever... Either way.. But I tell you, I have never been more sexually attracted to someone ever..
The sexual attraction aspects we have are In synastry Mars/moon mars/mars moon/pluto DW venus/uranus In composite venus/pluto moon/pluto venus/neptune.. Just adds the romance factor into it... Not everyone can handle that much pluto though.. We have natal venus sq pluto so I think we like it IP: Logged |
