In my opinion, Sun conjunct Venus can give pretty narcissistic tendencies. I know someone (though not closely) who has this (in Gemini), and they can be pretty full of themselves. Not all of the time, but quite a bit.

I have an afflicted Leo moon in tenth and have some tendencies. But then the awareness disqualifies me doesn't it?  sometimes though even if I say I am this or that negative thing no one even believes me! IP: Logged |

My vote would be Black Moon Lilith in Leo with harsh aspects to personal placements + maybe Sun conjunct Jupiter in 1st/5th house. quote:

I have Leo moon. I can relate to myself as a bit arrogant, self-centered, etc... It's just who i am, i can't change it, lol. There is a sense of - who are they, to tell me what should or shouldn't i do??? Don't tell me what to do, and i won't tell you where you should go. The abovementioned qualify only if somebody tries to control me, or something.
There is one affliction to my Moon - square to Pluto. Other aspects are harmonious.

I have moon in Aquarius and yes I totally agree about being very detached and cool/cold (actually I am quite proud of this). A friend of me is quite narcissistic and she has Leo rising, with Mars in Leo conjunct the ASC in the 1st. Gemini sun. IP: Logged |

I'm turning into one. :-| I guess I'm frustrated inside, life has been a drag for quite some time n0w, feel lost and stuck. Plus, I've been witnessing a lot of negativity around. Never knew such characters existed. I'm busy weaving a coco0n. To top it, my pers0nal space's dead. I'm sick of humans! My chart ruler's in the 12th on nept/trine m0on(h0me) and the 12h ruler's in the 1st. It's difficult to live in a hostel with these placements. So I display narcisstic traits(m0stly arrogance and rudeness) to shoo hostelites away. It works. But if you give me my space and aren't the gossip bitchy type, you wouldn't get to see them. I'll be the nicest thing to you.

Aqua asc.Detached yes, co0l n0. And I understand the connecti0n between Venus/Sun and being narcisstic. If I d0n't feel like talking to you(recent feelings), I w0n't. If you try talking to me, I'll tell you I'm n0t interested. Sounds arrogant and selfish. But I can't force myself to do s0mething that my heart doesn't want to do. There's a deep need to keep myself happy and pamper myself. I also see it as being dish0nest to myself and the other pers0n. It's different if you were seeking help. Then, my heart would shut up. well im an aquarius moon and i am cool and detached its just my nature BUT
my moon is conjunct jupiter in the 1st house . This is supposed to be a Very arrogant placement and i admit that even at my most insecure i still feel like im the hottest thing walking ! My worst trait is my arrogance and talking myself up i never feel entitlement but i do feel superior to most people . Even when i was a very young kid this trait was apparent . i have alot of other placements like moon conjunct uranus , moon conjunct neptune all in my 1st house that make me very self aware but all in all i tend to go from Very arrogant that i would straight up say im better than people to "im not looking my best but im still better than you" . I can always find something to make me feel better than others so i feel like im untouchable . See the jupiter effect , jupiter expands and its larger than life it thinks it knows it all and nobody can tell them anything .You might hate me now but i think

he never blantly seeked out attention.. he atually had 10 out of the 12 or 13 traits of a Narcissistic personality disorder. He has a youtube channel and makes lots of videoes and i think he loves the attention. he has some charisma too. In my many years of observations here are some aspects to what I think *can* cause self centered behavior:*Heavy first house with hard planets (sun, merc, mars, saturn)
*First house in Fire planet
*Sun conjunct Venus in a masculine planet
*Moon/venus Conjunct hard planets(except saturn), or moon in masculine planet
*Some Hades moons especially Doubles (scorpio moon conj. Pluto, unless evolved)
*Sun conjunct mercury can seem self centered but they don't realize it.
*Sun square mars has to win at everything.
*jupiter opposite Saturn creates indifference, which can hurt others.
*Pluto conjunct mars, pluto conjunct saturn...these people when unevolved are very "my way or the highway" to those around them, which can be considered self serving.
*Aquarius placements can have a tendency toward superiority complexes.
*Aqua moons are not self centered, but they can be self serving...for example will not put themselves out if something is not in it for them. They do it in a most friendly way though, so it is hard to not love them anyway. 
*air signs tend to hurt water signs feelings....
*venus or mars in Sagittarius can be trampling of feelings. ***I have most of these aspects LOL IP: Logged |

Okay Aquarius Moon can be a culprit, it makes sense. My room mate who used to be my best friend, I've come to realize is a complete narcissist and she has Aqua Moon in the 3rd H square Venus and Pluto (notice she has no harmonious aspects to her moon). Everything revolves around her and I think the reason we're such good friends is that I give her lots of attention. She is constantly doing things for attention and she annoys me because she spends so much time looking in the mirror. Like jeeze, girl you look good, move on with your day. And to think I'm the Leo Sun ha, she is always trying to find the spot light. IP: Logged |

Leo placements, scorpio placements, venus in the first. I'm a scorp w/ venus in the first and I have my moments where an ego checking is needed. I have friends with heavy leo placements and they can be a trip. Full of themselves but still very lovable.IP: Logged |

OMG capricorn sun square jupiter in aries sounds VERY harsh. they are VERY difficult people (my dad has this but his is in taurus sun sign) very difficult man.. his sister also has this and is also very difficult.

what about asteroid narcissus (37117)my bf has it conj sun natally in 10th sag lol ive always called him 'big head' even before i knew about that aspect... was shocked and appalled to find i have it at 0 degrees libra opposing my sun lol... so now i cant say anything really

everybody has some narissitic traits.. i'm talking about full blown Narissits who dont' care about you only about themselves.. they have no empathy. their life revolves around them and everything else is an object. you are only worth their time if you can give provide them something otherwise you are discarted like an old newspaper.IP: Logged |

My narcissus is conjunct my Pluto by 23 minutes in Scorpio in my 12th. It's conjunct my AC by 3 degrees as well as square my sun by 3 degrees and opposite my moon by 3 as well. Interesting
