I checked Wiki but it says that only Elena is Cancer (5th July), both Stefan and Damon are Scorpios (4th Nov/31st Oct) Bonnie is a Virgo and Meredith is a Gemini. No other characters are given a birth date.

Yeah, but when authors make up birthdates (often with little to no knowledge of astrology), these dates are often very arbitrary, and have nothing to do with the actual ‘personality’ of the characters they’re attached to.

For this reason I don’t hold that much stake in fictional birthdates…. Unless, of course the creator did know astrology, and had a reason for making choosing the fake birthdate that they picked.

Also, I consider the novels to be from a different universe then the show. I haven’t read the novels, but I’ve heard bits and pieces here and there. The novels are totally different from the show. In the books Elena is a blonde with blue eyes, and she’s not as nice as show Elena… She starts off as sort of a high school ‘mean girl‘, closer to show Caroline. And there is no Jeremy, she has a little sister instead. There are quite a few other differences as well.

Basically, I’ve got no qualms whatsoever in making up charts for fictional characters, that may even be contradictory to the fictional character’s fake birthday. Hey, it’s a different reality, so maybe the zodiac overlaps the seasons in a different way in that universe. Why not? The other things that happen on VD are certainly crazy enough. If anything, I’m influenced more by the actor’s real charts, then the fictional character’s birthdate.

Ok, well in that case based on the TV show I would have to agree with the other posters here and say that Damon comes accross like a fire sign. A definite mix of fire and water....love Damon, he's by far the best character.

Ok so here's my two pence worth

So for Mr Damon Salvatore: Sun conjunct Mars in Aries, Venus in Pisces and Mercury in either Aries or Taurus. As for the moon.....oh go on then, Scorpio. ;P

Stefan: Sun, Mercury and Venus in Cancer, Mars in Leo and Moon in Capricorn

Elena: Sun conjunct Venus in Libra, Mars in Virgo, Mercury in Scorpio and Moon in Pisces.

He's in a new show on the CW, called Cult. It seems that cults are the latest fad, I wonder if another will show up (we already have The Following, which has a similar setup).
