What would you think would be the placements for Damon, Stefan and Elena?

I'd call Damon very Scorpio, i think, i know the actor is Saggy, but still. In the show - real Scorpio. I think his Moon could be in Elena's 8th house, since there is enormous attraction she wants to resist.

Personally I think as soon as someone embodies a role on TV or cinema or stage, some sort of alchemical process starts, the actor and the role (on paper) merge and create something new.

I have observed that because I was watching the same role being reprised by different actors on stage, and the role FELT different each time. Different energy.

The actor can breathe life into a character only according to his own "blueprint". It doesn`t mean he IS the role, just that he has to bring "his style" into it.

Just my ramble on this, why I think it is more difficult to pinpoint the astrology of TV-characters than bookcharacters, cause you have to take the actors charts into account as well.

Which btw are interesting.

Scorpios are more smoldering, he is outwardly passionate so can't agree with him being Scorpio. The man is so friggin extroverted!

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter in Fire and all their dispositors are in fire, too!
Even the dispositors of Venus and Saturn are in Fire.

I agree that Damon is waaaay too extroverted and kinda silly/witty in his manner to a be pure brooding Scorpio type. Although, I do see Scorpio placements in him (obsessive in love much?) but definitely mixed with FIRE. He gets kind of drastic and flies off he handle occasionally…. So yeah, Aries. He’s rash. And Sag placements would explain his sort of ‘class clown’ personality. Personally, I think Ian S’s real chart works just fine for Damon as well, only expressed in a different way, maybe throw in an extra hard aspect from Pluto for all the diabolical evil shenanigans.

My vote for Damon’s personal planets are then…

SUN SAGITTARIUS (conjunct Neptune)

MOON ARIES

The rest of Damon’s chart I’m somewhat negotiable on though (except Neptune/Sun)…. I’d be interesting to play around with the positions of the outer planets to give different aspects to his personal ones (different then Ian S).

Nina Dobrev is a Capricorn and I see Elena as a Cap too. Like with Ian S, parts of Nina D’s real chart could work pretty well for Elena also… She is levelheaded, steady, and strong willed, and she’s open minded and sort of ‘democratic’ in her outlook (is willing to give everyone a chance). But she’s also got some fire and oomph in her… She’s brave and will confront an enemy, and she’s also selfless at times, to the point of being suicidal…. I get some Neptune/Pisces in Elena for this reason.

My vote for Elena…

Okay, again the same personal planets as the actress except the Asc. I think Scorpio fits…. Normal young girl gets caught up in world of death and violence, fit’s the theme of this Asc. I think that a Neptune/Moon aspect also really fits for Elena, she is really compassionate. Perhaps I’d change the Sun’s ruling planet Saturn to Pisces as well.

Stephan seems like a Virgo/Scorpio combo to me, with some Cancer and Libra thrown in. Again the actors real chart is affecting my perception. Paul W has Moon in Virgo, Cancer Venus, and Mars conjunct Pluto in Libra…

Stephan has his dark side, but in contrast to Damon he is way more calm and introverted, and is usually very reasonable. Personally, I think he is indulgent to Elena’s willful nature to the extent that he seems ‘whipped‘. I think the show writers definitely went into overkill in this way…. I mean he was willing to let the love of his life drown because she indicated to save her friend first. I get that they planned for Elena to be a Vamp, but that was just overkill on the ‘whippedness’ of Stephan.

The theme of the central love triangle to the show seems to be does Elena want that guy the offers comfort, acceptance, and lovey dovey peace, or the guy that challenges her with passion, excitement and maybe a little danger… Actually I have a theory she’ll wind up getting both from one guy eventually.

Well, I kind of like Katherine as a character, just because it is not boring when she is around. lol
Of course not a likeable character.

Maybe I like her also cause she carries the name of someone I once dreamed about. Well, I dreamed about myself carrying this name in Russia, actually the whole name was (J)elena petrova.

it was only after that dream that I googled the name and there actually existed a Jelena or Elena Petrova.
Interestingly he historical figure`s daughter had the name Catherine, which technically made her a Catherine Petrova. lol

Do you think the writers were aware of that?

Damon does look like a Sagittatius, Ian sommerhalder can't hide those Saggittarius eyes ! They have a childish look about them.

But Damon is definitely more masculine and passionate.

Noone mentioned how Damon talks a lot !

elena(books) is very cancer, possibly with moon in libra or leo.(she can be soo damn bossy and she seems very indecisive and superficial at times)

katherine{(show) gotta have some leo or aries , with a good dose of pluto (she is soo manipulative. using her sex appeal to get away with it too lol)

stefan(in both) is like the worst type of scorpio (the heavy guilt and torturing himself) or maybe strong moon/pluto. or the insecure capricorn/saturn type. throw in some neptune/pisces in there

matt seems taurean to me (in both books and show)

bonnie(show),seems like a pisces. she has a very self sacrificing nature (shes lost soo much)plus her psychic abilities.

jeremy is quite aquarian to me.and maybe a moon/pluto thing with him.it sucks how they keep killing all the important women in his life.

meredith(books) is very scorpy/cap/pluto/saturn to me

klaus in the books is CREEPY/SCARY as HELL. that scene with the ouija board. OMG i actually had nightmares. which is sad because im 23 lol

I totally agree that Caroline on the Show is soo Gemini. Probably with Moon in Leo because she has a Queen B side to her personality, and loves to organize people and events. Also she and was kinda snotty and silly before she became a vamp. Yep, Caroline is a Sun Gemini, Moon Leo.

I mentioned Catherine already, and she strikes me as a Sun Leo/Moon Scorpio type. Sexually manipulative and self-entitled.

From what I hear Bonnie in the books was a total extrovert, but Bonnie on the Show couldn't be more different. Show Bonnie is very serious, and thinks about the moral repercussions of things. Her character has gotten a lot of flak for being ‘judgy’, but I think she adds realism to the show. I mean, if you knew such people as Stephan and Damon actually existed would you really want them running around your home town, attracting and causing death and chaos all over the place? I think most people would react the way she has. The actress herself is a Virgo with Moon in Scorpio, and some justice inclined Libra planets. I think Bonnie is another one of those characters that fit’s the natal chart of the actor playing them….Virgo Sun (serious, and a thinker), Scorpio Moon (involved in the occult and other witchy things), Libra planets (has a social ethics).

Jeremy reminds me of a Pisces, with planets in Aqua, and like you said a Scorpio/Pluto influence on the Moon for repeatedly losing the women in her life. He seems like a quiet sensitive guy, but he’s also rebellious and erratic in his own way.

I totally agree with Matt for Taurus, he seems like a very normal, stable, balanced guy despite coming from a messed up, unreliable family. Between him, his sister Vicky, and his Mom, he was like the only sane one in the bunch. I’d put Venus in Aries for Matt though, even though he is a stable type I’ve noticed that can be irritable on occasion.

Klaus…. Well Klaus on the show actually reminds me of a Gemini Sun, Cancer Moon, with planets in Leo and Pluto square Moon type of personality. He has a commanding, even suave demeanor, he seems whimsical and sarcastic, and he considers himself a mastermind when it comes to scheming…. However, he had major “Mommy and Daddy never loved me” issues, and has some serious rage against his both his parents in different ways. He actually did kill his own mother, when his father confronted him for the last time he was actually reduced to tears, and he does seem to value the concept of ‘family’, even if he does so in a messed up way.

Alaric reminds me of a Libra, with Moon in Pisces…. He is an affable, easy going, charming and a likable sort of dude, but he drowns his sorrows in drinking. Perhaps he has Venus in Scorpio, because before his own death, he was haunted by the loss of his wife, and then the loss of his girlfriend.
