I have been a loner my entire life and was wondering if anyone could please give me some advice on what type of man might be good for me. I have Venus Square Mars and I've read that this aspect makes it so that you somehow continually attract the wrong people. In my experience this has proved to be true although I believe it's because I'm not exactly living my life to the fullest right now. I am in a state where I am saving to go back to school and living with my parents in suburbia. In two years I will be back in school in the city where I think I will have much more luck meeting men who I actually share things in common with.

I am very artistic, creative and passionate and am an aspiring singer/guitarist. I feel that I really need to be with someone who shares that with me. It seems from my chart that my love life may not be exactly easy but I also think that anything worth having isn't easy...I've had somewhat of a hard life and am unsure if I would be able to relate to someone who has had it easy. I have never been in a long term relationship and am very picky about choosing partners because I would rather be single than be in a relationship that is co-dependent or unhealthy. When I was 18 I decided that I had to learn to be happy with myself before I could be in a fulfilling relationship and for the past 6 years that's what I've been focusing on- being a healthy, happy person...there's no doubt that I'm succeeding but I will admit that it gets lonely sometimes.

What does my chart say about my love life? Perhaps this sounds cliche but I really think that until I am back in school studying my passion and living my dream I probably won't find anyone suitable for me.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you

Don't worry too much about your Venus/Mars square as the orb is rather wide, this aspect shouldn't dominate your love life.

You have some lovely aspects in terms of marriage. Your 7th house of marriage is ruled by Jupiter, and your natal Jupiter makes a nice sextile to your Venus, so you should be able to have a happy marriage. You also have Saturn on your descendant, so even though you might experience delays in getting married, you will eventually marry someone who is older and quite serious minded.

Oh, delightful! I this entire answer. I too have a Venus/Mars square and have had similar concerns, especially after reading that it's an indicator of unhappy marriages. But the orb is 8 degrees so also rather wide, and it's an out-of-sign square, and my Venus is conjunct Jupiter by exact degree, so basically everything you said here applies to me and was very reassuring Thanks, Belage!

You are so young, why so concerned with things that will last forever or marriage or whatever. Just have fun! Also, I see you are from CT.

I agree with Carl. When it comes to venus square mars aspct, now that you are aware of it naturally taking course, you can better it!
