Does anyone believe that the sign on your 4th house cusp symbolises the way you are treated in life by those around you? Because I've heard something about this a good while a go, but can't remember where I found it.Anyway. I have Leo on the IC/4H cusp. I would say I was born into a very generous family, although my parents have not being rich, I was actually quite spoiled as a child, I even had more that kids who's parents had jobs with higher wages than my mum. I've been quite lucky in getting my own way with out having to demand in the slightest. There's been many times where I've been 'the little exception to the rule' and managed to attain things others couldn't. I definitely have Leo qualities embedded at the core of my being. I only have a Leo mars, but I believe it comes more from my IC in Leo, I have a double Leo thing, both on the 3rd and 4th house cusps. So anyone else want to talk about there IC/4h cusp and the sign on it... has the qualities of that sign been around you in your life? IP: Logged |

i have capricorn on it and thats also my sun and i have a lot of other planets there too. but i was given lots of things too. i got games like other kids and all that. we aren't poor or anything but we don't have a nice house. other than that i dont really know what to make of it. but yes i heard the same thing about 4th being what your family/home life was like growing up. Supposedly mine was supposed to be weird because i have uranus right conjunct it, but i didn't really find any similarities with that description. i saw this in a thread by ami anne so maybe ask her IP: Logged |

I'm still learning astrology a great deal, so thinking on this angle is quite interesting. I'm pisces on the IC. The home environment may have had many moments of upheaval, but I'd use my bedroom as an "escape"; it was treated as a private island literally. Everyone knew to allow me my space. Even now it's more interesting to see just how private I am. I barely allow family to come to my home, and when I do I can't wait for them to go. As an Aqua sun it's weird to others and myself that I conduct myself as a homebody. But that's how it is! I despise going out in public; especially around crowds of people it annoys me extremely fast. I find myself RUNNING to get home to my haven What else? Ahh, I really enjoy long hot baths and gentle music. When the moon transit hits Pisces or Cancer I feel VERY peaceful at home. I can't quite explain it. There's a euphoria of tranquility going on. Overall it's befitting to having pisces on the IC clearly!

My dad's sun exactly conjuncts my IC in Virgo.I'm the oldest and felt like I was always under a microscope growing up. "Be Perfect" was without a doubt the expectations. Everything I did was analyzed, scrutinized, criticized, etc. I was fussed over, worried about, diagnosed with any number of "problems" if I wasn't living up to the expectations, all of it. Veeery frustrating. I'm a Cap sun so I put enough pressure on myself, and then on top of that, my Sag moon squares both of my parent's Virgo Plutos, (and my moms Pisces sun square my moon) so yeah I felt like I grew up in a very controlling, manipulative family environment lol IP: Logged |

I have Taurus here , i used t listen to music all the time with my family , my relationhip with my siblings greatly influences my home life because my sun is teeter tottering on my 3rd and 4th house and my 3rd house is aries , my sun is trine mars , so in my house their was alot of violence , we used to make fun of each other and start fights for fun . i always felt like the beautifull one and then i got older and realised that people find us all beautifull . I remember always thinking my mam was beautifull and i really want to look like her when i grow up . I also always got my way through being subborn and persistent , as a baby i was very taurean , fat and stubborn i never cried but i did pout and refuse to give hugs . I think ive grown up to be alot more aries i always relate more to aries traits than taurus but never the less im still a bull and a hungry one at that ........im off to graze IP: Logged |

I have aries on my 4th house cusp and venus in aries. My childhood home was amazingly perfect for a brief period of time and then it all turned into a war zone. I'm well-liked by others in general, but every now and then I have to fight to defeat someone trying to backstabbing me or defend my loved ones. IP: Logged |

Empty Leo on the 4H cusp/IC... I found this interesting. My house, my rules Leo The Leo influence in the fourth house places a significant emphasis on the home. Pride and ego characterize your attitude toward your home and family. You want home to a castle where for entertaining in grand fashion. You have home ownership and you want it to be a show place. Owning a piece of land would give you a sense of self-worth. If where you live is not a reflection of your ego, it's likely your self-image is low for some reason. Persons with Leo on the cusp of the fourth house are apt to be the one that "rules the roost." In either sex, this placement often shows the one who is the boss and makes the decisions in the family. http://astrology-numerology.com/housecusp-4th.html IP: Logged |

Mercury in Leo in my 4th houseI act like a cat. meow. Seriously a lot of pressure to be perfect as I got older. I spent very little time with people my own age up until high school and even then I attended a primarily female dominated school. I literally felt like "Daria", luckily I did attend a HS with a focus on the arts with education or else I probably would have went insane. IP: Logged |

Yes the 4th house, its ruler's placement and aspects, and any planets in the 4th house show how you were treated in the family life and how you were raised, the condition of your family life/home, etc.I have Aquarius on 4th house cusp and while my family was pretty 'typical American', we are quite different and weird in some ways. I am definitely the 'weirdo' of the family, as well as my dad, and go figure he has ASC and Moon in Aquarius lol I have Jupiter (ruler of 2nd) in my 4th, and Uranus (ruler of 4th) in my 2nd..yes I am VEERY spoiled. I appreciate it, too. My parents bend over backward to help me and my siblings with absolutely everything. IP: Logged |

During my home-life, my parents didn’t really spend much time with us and communication ran pretty dry. My parents came to the US with nothing, so I can understand work was the priority, and it did reward in the end. We were fed and have shelter – my siblings and I have the basic needs but we lack their affection and attention – there were more criticism in comparison to encouragement or friendly conversations. When I was younger, I always dreamt of my parents wake up one day to hug me and be like "Hey lets all go to Disneyland!" Overtime, it turned me ice cold with my parents and I have a hard time saying "I love you" or hug them in fear of rejection/hearing criticism. I had to keep reminding myself they love me (as bad as it sounds), but in the “act of service” way (5 languages of love)The way I view my home-life/childhood does reflect Virgo IC. I also have Mercury opposition to IC. Barely much communication during my homelife but there are gossips but every family has them.

Virgo IC here and my life growing up coincidentally matches yours word by word except for the mercury opp ic. Things have gotten better now after finishing college except being analyzed and criticized for almost every action taken and not taken IP: Logged |

My childhood was the same way. There was a complete lack of affection between my family. I feel like there’s always this invisible barrier between all of us. It’s still there to this day. Family expected me to be perfect, especially my mom. It was only when my parents divorced and we were sent to a women’s shelter that I finally opened up to my mom. I had no choice. We were stuck in the same room with no walls. IP: Logged |

Its the weirdest thing, whenever I think /contemplate on a subject matter. It shows itself up here. I agree that it is the nature of the early parental structure of the environment one grew up in. My Moon conjunct Ic and we moved around a lot. So I had to find a sense of home and security within myself and not necessarily anywhere outside me. But I also think that the Ic represents the twilight/maturity years: When you are drunk with what the world has to offer(Mc),the Ic represents that point of retreat and folding in. That is also why the Ic is referred to as your final resting place/grave as we start off wanting so much and wanting to do so much. And then when the years are spent, we find out what really matters and it many times it was staring us in the face all along. That is what the Ic represents from a spiritual point of view. But you can never fully appreciate it until you go out into the world and see what is out there. And quench that inner need to explore. Some of the things I think of when I view the activation of the IC: *the prodigal daughter returns home- story. *sometimes you have to go away to find what you have left behind -feeling. *looking for love in all the wrong places.Only to find it where its always been. Right where you left it. * "I am home/am going home" feeling of release. *the big "welcome home" party to someone who has long been missing. * Passing over/on. Not when the soul leaves the body. But when the soul returns to Isness and God Consciousness and re-unites with the creator. *The very last marriage that is entered into more for companionship rather than physical attraction/excitement or sex. *"Hello Dolly. Its so nice to have you back where you belong. Say you'll never leave again" theme song from that Barbara Streisand Classic "Hello Dolly" *Restfulness and acceptance of your life story-no matter how dull/glamorous it was and then reminiscing on it with grand-kids/people around you. *Writing memoirs or biographies. And living life as an "elder" or adviser. Sometimes pained with regrets and other times a deep sense of appreciation with how you lived. That is why old people who are often close to death ask to go and rest home or voluntarily make their way back In other cases some cry for home or start to speak of childhood friends/people that they knew from home etc. The Ic is also the winding down of life, retirement and even settling down. But again the sign/planet- either by transit progression/solar arc may change the nature of the Ic somewhat and not make it so cut and dry. Sometimes old age just accelerates someones life and a "restful" approach to aging isn't possible. Aries/Mars Ic are those oldies who go bungee jumping and feel that they have just started living. They feel very youthful and may even leave their stuffy husbands/wife's for toyboys/girls or marry younger if they feel "held back". They may still insist on sex. Gemini/Mercury Ic remains busy thinking /reading/writing right up to the very end of their life. Always thirsty for more. They may still teach people in old age or be surrounded by young people who think them "cool". A relationship with someone of a huge age difference is also not unlikely Taurus Ic compartmentalizes their life and makes it more manageable. They don't want any stress/fuss in their older years and stay out of family drama. The simple things in life like nature and long walks on the beach become a part of their life. They may gain weight and if financial constraints don't give them sleepless nights. They may increasingly stay home-bound-beautifying their living space or its surroundings in the form gardening, landscaping etc. Cancer/Moon on the Ic may be more concerned with bringing people together -whether its friends, family reunions or communities. They may increasingly be concerned with nurturing something or become the primary /secondary caretakers of grandchildren/orphans. They want to provide a sense of "connected-ness" and unity in their environment. Leo/Sun on the Ic discovers who they really are in their twilight years with a "Wow. So this is who I am"-awakening and they become that much more bolder and eccentric as they get older. They may start a whirlwind romance with someone or discover a creative ability they didn't know they had. And life often feels like its just getting started for them too. Aquarius/Uranus Ic stays actively involved in the politics and ever changing climate of the world. They may even want to run for office or want to be involved in some way impactful They grow more distant from their families /place of birth and don't want to be the types of grand-people in a rocking chair or knitting. They don't become restful but increasingly restless mentally and "home" is never anywhere specific because their perception of "home" always changes. Scorpio/Pluto Ic remains sexually potent/still has tremendous energy and may even have a kid whilst a grandma/grandpa. They still have too many questions left to be answered in life and usually upset others in their old age because of how they speak their minds and mince nothing- I believe Donald Trump has this Ic IP: Logged |

How one is treated? Hmm well no that sounds odd. Just think about what 4th house stands for. The home, both the physical home and the metaphorical one.The mother but according to some astrologers it stands for the father as well. Ones roots. In my case its in sagg and I have read it means you will have often guest at your home, and its true in my case. And saturn and uranus is in there. My family are from a mediterrenian country (we live in Sweden), and as such they are warm and generous and loves having guests over, its a culture that holds guests very high, but we only have family friends who is our countrymen. The more the merrier! My mother will cook the best meals ever for hours and she is well known for her cooking skills. I have grown up surrounded by having family friends and guests all the time. Well some periods more often and some periods more selldom, mostly because we live in an european country where there is few of our countrymen. A religious family, with boundries but the ic is sagg with uranus in the mix so I have not felt restricted and I have had "free speach" so to speak and free to express myself and my sometimes out of the norm weird thoughts and believes . So a warm religious family. IP: Logged |

Sagittarius IC I always feel like expanding my boundaries, exploring and being out. I’m an adventurer to the core. Here at my parents it was often the reason why we’d fight. I felt like they were limiting my freedom so much, and they still are, but now I am 20 years old.. I can’t go a day without a good hour or two of fresh air and sunlight..and some night breeze... Anybody else with that IC? Because I haven’t moved around that much in my life and I still live at my mothers. I’d like to read more about Sag 4th house IP: Logged |
