Through recent discussion with others on this forum I have noticed an interest in the Chinese Zodiac and believe we should have a section dedicated to it. If you want this as well please sign! (I don't know if this is ok as far as this being a forum in honor of Linda Goodman, was she into the chinese zodiac?. If it's not I fully understand )

Its true brown owl has a few threads started by mr randall himself sand, your peach blossom thread got a nice interested going and hopefully this thread will help us get a better idea which areas of Chinese astrology people want to actively discuss... we can start with the popular ideas and branch out from there for myself, I would like to know more about my animal compatibility and element

compatibility is hard. i think sometimes the natal is stronger here. like whether or not you have a spouse star or not.. etc.. i don't buy the simple year to year. plus it will never be as deep as that of synastry/ composite coz there are no moons that rule emotions and wants and venus that say what you are attracted to. just who nurtures who and who benefits more etc.. which is interesting for me as well..

Oh wow. So much more than meets the eye in chinese Astro. This is all good insight we need too seriously get people interested in deeper discussions and research into our inner core. I dont want to derail this thread but How does one go about finding their spouse/relationship star?

i forget lol! but i'll read up on it in a bit. i just know where mine is and the interp for it was very subjective. some say not to get married some say so what if it is in the year pillar. it's also pretty easy to not have one so it might bum a few people out lol!

Lol well I don't have this peach blossom on any of my pillars unfortunately so it can't get any worse than being an ugly gremlin now that you got my gem curiosity all reved up, when you get the chance open a thread with info into this spouse star placement please

I'm interested! Especially because there seems to be some links between Chinese and western zodiac.

For instance, I am a "fire tiger" in Chinese, which I've heard is equivalent to the zodiac sign Sagittarius - and I have a Sagittarius moon, mercury, uranus, and saturn. The fire tiger description has always described me MUCH better than my sun sign, Capricorn.

I know there is four pillars but I can't seem to find any solid information on them on the web. The year to year compatibility seems to be accurate for me so far, and I just combine it with my western astrology knowledge.

Cool! Although I have always thought that Aquarius was the most similar to Tiger. Sagittarius with Horse. You can't really compare though as both zodiacs are so different, it's like numbers and letters .

I agree the descriptions are quite accurate, I have also noticed that I am better at picking out peoples chinese zodiac sign than their western sign, without knowing age or anything.

Yay I'm interested in chinese astro ( ba zi & the four pillars) but it's hard to find info on them when most of the good info is written in chinese. I remember some time ago there was an app & a website that calculated your real chinese astro. I'll post the link of the site when I get on my pc. My hour sign is a snake & my day sign is a rooster, I find it really accurate.
