I love how dubstep fans will call a dubstep track that is really heavy on the d'n'b "filthy" as in, "that sounds filthy." What a great description, lol. I'm a big fan of distorted-sounding music, like Garbage sounded in the 90's. Actually, the distortion is how they got their name - someone told them that "that sounds like garbage." You can't get the same effect with fast beats. It needs to be at least somewhat slow to give that filthy "wobble-wobble" effect. I effing love the wobble.

I think that most dubstep music is quite serious and it's all about courage, transformation and confrontation. It also reminds me of what is hidden, night time. I don't find dubstep silly or cheap. It fills me with courage, energy and triggers my imagination.
