Just out of curiosity  If you're not familiar with dubstep music, you can check it out here

I'm a scorpio sun-pluto-saturn in 5th , aries moon, libra venus, virgo mars and cancer rising. Saggittarius is my dominant sign. I think that most dubstep music is quite serious and it's all about courage, transformation and confrontation. It also reminds me of what is hidden, night time. I don't find dubstep silly or cheap. It fills me with courage, energy and triggers my imagination. IP: Logged |

I like dubstep i.e. Skrillex and Ellie Goulding type of dubstep.

Dubstep is awful, I cringe when I hear it. Skrillex sounds like a fax machine to me.

The vast majority of dubstep is **** . With that being said there are a few songs that are good. But they can easily become annoying if you listen to them too much IP: Logged |

Dubstep is pretty bad. When I listen to it I get amped up and I want to throw plates, so I can see why people like it. I feel like it has a lot of aggressive energy underlying in the beats and stuff. Definitely a genre made of iron and steel. Taurus Sun: 12th house

i liked it when i first heard it in like 2007...16bit was the first dubstep i ever heard. Skrillex sucks.now that it's super popular, the quality has declined. everyone and their dog loves dubstep now. pretty annoying. Capricorn sun. IP: Logged |

Amen! Skrillex is horrible but dubstep can be good.....when it's good. I hate that everybody thinks skrillex is the epitome of dubstep.

haha, I'm the opposite. I hated house. I didn't listen to any dance music that wasn't late-90's (Prodigy, Daft Punk) until dubstep came along. I love the hip-hop infused beat of it and the drum n' bass. I hated how repetitive house music was. And there was no drums! Just some frooty loops crap, lol. I love how dubstep fans will call a dubstep track that is really heavy on the d'n'b "filthy" as in, "that sounds filthy." What a great description, lol. I'm a big fan of distorted-sounding music, like Garbage sounded in the 90's. Actually, the distortion is how they got their name - someone told them that "that sounds like garbage." You can't get the same effect with fast beats. It needs to be at least somewhat slow to give that filthy "wobble-wobble" effect. I effing love the wobble. I got my bf into dubstep a little bit I am rather proud of this fact given that he is a metal musician. I feel like I'm an arguably bad influence  .

I don't dislike it as much as a lot of people do, but I still say that it's completely overhyped and overrated. It just doesn't do anything for me either way, I prefer music with some kind of emotion (whether it be happy or sad emotions) and Dubstep is rather...well, shallow and emotionless.Pisces Sun

It's funny, in my own life, I have noticed that Aquarians and Capricorns seem to appreciate dubstep more than most. Actually, Skrillex and Ellie Goulding are both Cappies. Maybe it's because the energies of the two signs lends itself to music that doesn't have to emotionally resonate; technical appreciation is just as good for us, maybe.
