Agreed with the above, overated IME. My spouse has this placement and is def not the mysterious and alluring man, which most discriptions provide. The man also has it conj Pluto, and Saturn all in the first trine Sun/Venus. He is very shy, simple looking, not athletic and not conifdent at all. He is not unattractive, and is charming with his late Libra Asc 29*, but there is not a wow factor that would make you do a double take. Not trying to sound mean, it is just the discriptions for this placement usually make it sound like the person would be a natural Casanova/Don Juan, True Blood Vamp like person with intense sexual magentisicm and that just isn't always true. Granted my partner's Saturn might be the wet blanket repressing any possibility of such power, but I've also known others with this placement that do not have conj Saturn, and they also are your average person. However ______ I do have newfound respect for Taylor Swift, and back in the days of talented Mr.Ripley - for Jude Law. Taylor explained why she named her album "Red" and it felt so wise & felt beyond her age and seems like she is in tune with her sexual side. IP: Logged |

Scorpio is not usually flashy in the way it handles its sexuality. After all, Pluto is the lord of the underworld, of things hidden and beneath the surface. I think Mars in scorpio is NORMALLY very potent sexually. Those that do not seem to match the description might have other aspects that nullify it, such as square or opposition from other planets to that particular aspect. Also, what if the scorpio mars is in the 2nd or 3rd house? Those are not sexual houses so Mars in Scorpio there is not going to be so sexual. In short, one must always look at the entire chart before making a definitive pronouncement or saying that one astrological characteristic is not true at all. Astrology has a complexity that is not reflected in the usual stereotypes people are fond of throwing around. IP: Logged |

I'd think Scorpio in your 8th House would be more of a 50 Shades of Grey type.IP: Logged |

I have Neptune and probably could go any of a number of different directions. Have Scorpio in Venus/Mars/Jupiter/8H and think some of the things mentioned about all that is quite true, other parts a bit of over imaginative projections by others. IP: Logged |

So do I, in which sign is your Jupiter? Mine is in Leo & my chart ruler. I agree very much with this. Jupiter I believe expands any energy, in whichever house it is. IP: Logged |

yes i grew up with probably 200 scorpio mars boys. certainly not all would be great lovers/ seducers nor do they radiate the scorpio intensity. but they can channel it through other means.. work, creativity, and who knows what goes on in the bedroom.. i do feel the intensity or at least the eyes on me of someone born my year with this mars. it's very defiant and challenging. some have a steady gaze and there's always the sensitivity to being used, outwitted, manipulated.. Be prepared to have 'adventures' at least twice a day, every day!! A long time ago, I had a relationship with a Sag guy, Venus & Mars in Scorpio and he was incredibly intense in the relationship, although he had the boyish charm of a Sag man to others. I would not say he was aggressive but assertive, he definitely wanted to dominate me (and he did for too long!). Men could not see what the attraction was about him but women flocked to him. He had a potent magnetism which obv drew me to him but also soooo many other women. We could not go out to a restaurant without a waitress or another diner slipping her number into his pocket!! This got annoying for me after a while & too overwhelming. But I think I was too young and a more mature woman, or someone with some Scorpio/Pluto influences could cope with that kind of intensity. Personally I think it is a very masculine and attractive placement - these guys will usually excel at something bc they are so driven and this is admirable, but I think it depends on the guy's age & how he expresses that kind of energy as well. Sand, those are good points. He is very driven at work & very cunning, able to rise above the pack and manipulate situations to his advantage with none being all the wiser. He can be very calculating and always gets what he wants without having to struggle much. If work and life were a battle, he would be the magician in the background, plotting the enemies demise while appearing to be docile and clueless As a Venus in Scorpio, must say I do admire his ability to be hidden under the radar while turning the tides in his favor in a most astute way. Mars in Scorpio may be driven by sexual compulsions (and addictions) but in general you’re driven to immerse yourself in one partner at a time. And it has to be the right partner, someone who is capable of meeting your needs. Desires (Mars) are intensified (Scorpio) but they’re filtered through the lens of “all or nothing.” You’re capable of becoming dormant during long periods of celibacy, if the right person isn’t available. The Bottom Line The bottom line about Scorpio is this: it makes a lot of people uncomfortable. The obsession with introspection is not everyone’s cup of tea. When your relationship planet(s) are in this sign, potential partners can be scared off. The sexual intensity (and demands) of Mars in Scorpio can be too much for some. The relentless exploration that happens with Venus in Scorpio can arouse hostility in others. And the ever-present specter of Scorpio jealousy can drive people away. If you have Mars or Venus in Scorpio, you hold the equivalent of a romantic depth charge. You are the catalyst in relationships and you’re about so much more than just being sexy. You’re on a quest to understand yourself and, in the process, you force others to examine themselves. Those that are brave enough to get involved with you will be permanently transformed. http://sasstrology.com/2012/05/astrology-myth-or-truth-venus-or-mars -in-scorpio-make-you-irresistible.html IP: Logged |

This is true in my experience, but with my Leon Moon I tend to get along with almost everyone. The one caveat is one can be TOO charming so to speak and that sort of causes others to assume things..that are not very nice. IP: Logged |
