Most of my air sign friends have earth sign moons, and most of my earth sign friends have air sign moons, so I'm thinking airy/earthy people.IP: Logged |

Yes, I remember having read that a few years ago. and Liz Greene really opened my eyes with that. I am so heavily Fire influenced (Sun, mercury, mars, Neptune, NN, ASC in Sag), but never could do anything with the description of being outgoing and extrovert and courageous and so on. This wasnt really me.But THIS description here, fits me to a T, too. It is ALL about the possibilities. "Never mind talking to them about reality and responsibility. They see it perfectly clearly, thank you very much. It's just that this isn't their reality. The 'real' world to a fire signs is secretly that fantasy world which was suppose to end when the last fairy tale book was ucked away in he cupboard and the brutal truth about Santa Claus was made known. Look into the secret reality of the fire signs and you are in a world of pure romance, pure myth. Fire signs need to mythologize everything: other people, professions, situations, themselves. For fire, all the world's a stage, and no one plays the part with such panache. " I was heaving a sigh when I first read that and thinking to myself: FINALLY someone understands how this is. lol
Oh and I am a hypochondric, and just learning to feel comfortable within my body.
I was so fascinated when I met a guy, who seemed so much at home within his body; fascinating because it eluded my grasp, my understanding. So different. though the guy has quite some fire emphasis, he also has a HUGE stellium in Virgo trine very earthy Chiron in Taurus in 2nd house and sesisquare Venus in Capricorn. This comfort with his physicality totally mesmerizes me. IP: Logged |

'Fine, you may say. Erotic fantasies are normal, to be encouraged. We live in an enlightened age. At least, we're suppose to live in an enlightened age. But the problem comes with the choice of partner that fire signs make. We will go into this in much more detail later. Suffice it to say, for the time, that the fire signs as a group are attracted most strongly to earth. And earth is the most literal, the most basic, the most sensual, the least prone to fantasy of any of the astrological elements. So what happens? The poor fire sign often feels as though there is something wrong with him, since his partner is getting off on his hairy chest or muscular arms or cute little paunch while he is desperately trying to conjure the atmosphere of Mata Hari meeting Clint Eastwood in a '30s club in Berlin by candlelight with Marlene Dietrich singing Gestapo songs in the background. Fire signs are very prone to violent physical passions, which they call love. This unfortunate scenario usually ends with the sad revelation that all cats are grey at night. They can become cynical and brutal, masking their tremendous romanticism and idealism; always seeking restlessly for that spiritual soul-mate who will secretly understand the fears that drive them without demanding that they explain themselves, who can fan their little hearth fire into a mighty creative conflagration; who will contain them without imprisoning them. Are there such people? Not likely.' holy roffle. nearly spat my tea great read thanks RAS i gravitate toward other fires mainly. then earths. i get along well with waters, and the airs are always up in my life somehow but i don't really get along with em, they don't tend to like me, lol IP: Logged |

I always wonder, why can't people be calmer, less moody, more rational, less bigoted, more friendly? I am fascinated by people in the abstract but I don't really understand them. This described me to a T as an air-heavy person. Perpetually striving to learn, educate myself, understand, "figure out," and always having it elude me.IP: Logged |

lmao anno_lucis "holy roffle" thats hilarious aquacheeka and Ceri...thats fascinating! im glad it helped u understand urself a bit better. It def helped me. Ceri, YEP, i remember reading about it on astro.com too but this expanded on it. I am totally not comfortable with my body And YES, its all about possibilities and fantasy/creativity.
Aquacheeka...yep i agree lol. we fire people dont have the most controlled emotions. Hard to relate with the air element sometimes bc we wish you would show ur passion more, and air wishes fire would be more even keel ------------------ $3.50 ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings IP: Logged |

Fire and Water describe me both equally as well, to a T. and that's fitting because according to astro.com i have equal amount of Fire and Water in my chart, my two most prominent elements (I have NO Air)..and I am a Capricorn Sun.IP: Logged |

I get along best with water. The water description, also, really describes me well.. I'm not sure how I'm so water.. All my planets are in Earth and Air with Pluto as a singleton in Scorpio. Maybe that's it.edit: Also my three air planets (Venus, Mars, Saturn) are in each of the water houses. IP: Logged |

How's this for interesting? My bf and his guitarist were born the same day. They're both Sagittarians with Sagittarius moons. My bf's guitarist quit the band today to focus solely on his other more successful venture. And my bf broke up with me today. Both incidents happened the exact day Mars moved into Scorpio. From The Astrotwins: "On Thursday, motivator Mars moves into Scorpio and your 12th house of completions. If you’ve been stalling on a transition, you’ll get the kick in the pants to finally wrap things up so you can move along. You may need to go into the isolation chamber at times in order to get things done—especially given all the public demands on your time. A yoga or meditation practice is essential, or you’ll never be able to shut off that active brain of yours. Have you thought about doing a cleanse? This is the perfect time to reboot your systems and release those toxins. Warning! With Mars in the 12th house, you are easily get stressed out by people who try to manipulate you with guilt. Keeping your name off the guest list of their pity parties will take some strength. Remind yourself that boundaries are healthy and that “No.” is a complete sentence. You don’t need to justify your reasons for turning people down in the name of your own self-preservation. ". http://www.mylifetime.com/astrology/horoscope/weekly/sagittarius IP: Logged |

i am water dominant just by a little bit in pullen.. then earth.. thank god for the earth lol but i can see water very much in me too..For water signs, the most important thing in the world is feeling, and in particular, the objects of feeling - which are usually human beings. Relationships with people are the breath of life to the water signs. More than any other element, they fear aloneness and isolation. They need the constant contact of other people, the constant flow of feeling, the security of love and relationship. A water sign who has pulled in on himself and withdrawn from others is a sad creature. For many water signs, others are the most important thing in life - hence their sometimes rather suffocating tendency to live through others at their own expense. Within their own world, they create anything, for imagination is one of the strongest gifts of this element. Water people have wonderful imaginations. They are also sensitive, perceptive and profound. It is rare to find someone with a strong water emphasis in his horoscope who is shallow and superficial. But they are frightened of anything that might disrupt the peace of the nest. Not that water people never change. They change all the time - with a rapidity that is upsetting to the air signs in particular. But it's their feelings that shift and change. One day up, the next day down. Most water-sign people are moody. Now moodiness is something we tend to see as neurotic. This is our air-sign education again, establishing standards of consistent behaviour. In fact the feeling nature in any person is not consistent. Feeling is like water. It flows and shifts and takes a new shape depending on what it meets. And water people, at least those that are brave enough to express their real selves to others, are not consistent in their moods. It never bothers them. They're used to it;and ups and downs are not frightening. Neither are anger or fear, love or hate. But these things are distressing to the more rational types, who can't cope with their own changing emotions. Water is also an incredibly subtle element. Nothing is simply black or white to the water signs. If you watch a typical television western of a decade ago, you can see the kind of values which air signs make: there are good guys and bad guys. To water, things aren't that simple. Good guys often have a secret bad streak, and bad guys are capable of acts of nobility. To water, people are complex and must be taken as they are, not as one would ideally like to think they ought to be. In this way, the water signs are the most realistic of all - that is, about human nature. They may not make a great noise about it. But they know. No person is wholly one thing. Another facet of this peculiar ability to 'sniff out' the feeling quality of a person or a situation is a thing which we call taste. Now, taste is a very difficult thing to define. It connects up with all kinds of things like aesthetics and art and beauty. These are so hopelessly relative that you can get into a good flaming row about it any time. Taste is a deeply personal matter. But good taste seems to be something that the water signs possess in abundance. But knowledge of the theories of aesthetics often produces monstrous tastes. To the water signs, feeling is everything, and the idea must be bent to the feeling. Air, for this reason, tends to be more liberal in its politics - sometimes excessively so. 'Humanity' is always a big issue for the air signs. Water tends to be more conservative in its politics - sometimes excessively so. 'Humanity' is not a relevant concept for the water signs. It means nothing. Because the water signs can't grasp broad principles very easily, they can often become bigoted in a small way. Rarely in a large way, because they aren't concerned about large wholes. But if one Black or one Jew or one Arab offends him, a water sign will often form a value judgment against the entire race or nationality. Why? Because he personally, had a bad experience. The trouble is, there has to be a direct, personal contact. Discuss human suffering in the abstract and it means nothing to water. Show him an individual who is in trouble, and he will respond. Water's biggest problem in relationships is that he can often see nothing except relationships. This translates either as suffocating solicitude or clinginess or possessiveness. When the loved one is the most important thing in your life, it can be a little difficult for the loved one - firstly because he can never get away from you, and secondly because you've made him responsible for your own happiness. That's a pretty large burden. IP: Logged |

Air for -- open mindedness, willingness to see another's POV, business like and classy but sometimes cool and reserved close-up and one on one. Water for -- eventually overcoming the cool and reserved facade. Having a huge store of volatile emotions inside that can come out unexpectedly but in an intense and watery kind of way. It isn't the vivid explosion of fire, it's the melancholic, biting rush of a dam that's finally been let loose. Earth for -- being realistic beyond my teeming emotions. Seeing the core values of things. Being efficient in hands-on tasks when I stop feeling lazy. "Actualizing my desires". The element I am LEAST connected to is of course, my void element, Fire. I really don't identify with Fire and having a Sagittarius rising saves me a little I guess, but at the same time it also hinders me. It squares my Moon and Saturn, both planets dealing with Earth and Water [Moon in Virgo, and Saturn in Pisces]. I usually attract guys with a good deal of Fire in their chart as a result of this for some reason. IP: Logged |
