Cap/10th house placements. I have Venus in the 10th, I try really hard to not be materialistic but I can't help it.

Capricorn Sun in 10th. Capricorn Mars in 11th. Aries Jupiter in 2nd. Jupiter to MC. Mars to Pluto. Mercury to Pluto. Sun to Jupiter.

I've worked freaking hard on my career. I went to school and got top grades and multiple degrees, even though I hated school with a passion.

I hate work with a passion too, but my alarm clock is set for 5:00 am. I get home from work after 8 pm, and then I take care of house work till midnight. And even with such a job, I still earn though other means on the side.

I do it all to feed my family and give them the best I can afford. Of course, I can always do better, so I work even harder.

I hope you can see why I have the right to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Yes, I am materialistic, but only for my benefit. I'm not ostentatious, at least not overtly so.

No, I don't drive a clunker. Clunkers sux. I hate clunkers. So I drive fancy cars to please myself and keep my family safe. I also have a taste for big engined cars because i like to have fun once in a while. No matter how fuel efficient, those are fundamentally gas guzzling. But i feel i earned that right. I hope you don't see that as being bad.

I rather not work. I hate work. But then somebody would have to feed my family and pay our bills. We are very high maintenance. Lol.

I have n.Venus in 2nd, along with my n.Moon, both in Gemini. I have enough Taurus in my chart that I'm definitely feeling jumpy right now without a job, but I don't need a McMansion or fancy cars. If I could live the way I am right now without working, I could honestly be happy. I do hate work, but I do have to support myself, too.

What puzzles me the most, is that the more I try to get myself out of any kind of employment dead-ends, and try to make more $, the more I fall back. What is UP with that? My n.Venus is heavily afflicted, and I keep thinking that's part of it. So far, I've only really had one job in my life that paid well enough. Even then, I wasn't livin' large. Just making my bills, and had enough to go take a nice trip. Maybe buy a little something expensive/extra, too. Right now, I'd take just about any job.

Weirdly though, now that I'm down to the very bare bones, I find myself wanting so much less than I did when I was actually making $. All the material doo-dads that I wanted so badly, now don't mean a thing to me. Hhhmm....

You will find that the higher you climb, the faster and more painful the fall.

I was out of a job for 14 months the last time I was laid off.

So, raise up that chin and work hard for yourself.

McMansions lose their worth if the occupants inside are unhappy. There are just as many unhappy wealthy people as there are unhappy broke people.

Having said that, I personally know couples where the wife complains the husband doesn't have fractional jet ownership, as opposed to having to suffer the agony of being chauffered to the airport in a limo and passing through TSA security while sipping her drink in domestic first class. That is fresh indeed.

Thanks for that! Yes, I am plugging away. I've take classes in three different schools. I've singed up for employment agencies, and I'm checking online daily. I have friends keeping their eyes out for any job possibilities. So far, nothing. OTOH, I'm wondering if maybe this is Saturn's way of poking me to go work for myself. I'll just have to figure out something that *I* can do, but I've never really had that entrepreneurial "thing", so it's kind of tough.

I'm in boring suburbia in CT. I work in the City by GCT. I used to live in Park Slope by PPW and in Bkyln Heights by the Promenade, but that was a long time ago.

Ooo ok I was born and raised in clinton hills....working in fort Greene right now and living in Canarsie. I'm hoping to move back to clinton hills or fort Greene in the next two years, I hate being so far from my immediate family but rent is bananas right now in Brooklyn.

I think I'm borderline .
I adore all kind of aesthetic, glamorous surrounding me.
Blame on the placement , of course.

My venus has too much activity and the libra sun will not satisfied the ordianry things.

I have..
- leo venus : sext. Pluto/ mercury , trine Neptune(3rd) , square Uranus/Mars (in2nd H - house of material )
- libra sun : conj. AC
