In the 12th house...From my personal experience throughout my life I've always fell in love or had an extreme attraction for unattainable men. Whether it be age, commitment to another, drug alcohol addicted, or emotional/ physical distance. And I'm starting to wonder if your destined to be alone without marriage with this placement? With Venus in 12 house it certainly gives your romantics a sacrifice that you must learn to "let go" and "hurt in silence" affairs when you do get one. But I quess if you had an air moon it wouldn't effect you so deep? Idk, maybe it's my Pisces moon that's tired of feeling hopeless with all the fish in the sea IP: Logged |

Why would I intentionally set myself up for failure (?)

It's not failure. What if you meet a really great guy and he gets out on parole; you guys can be together. I'm just saying, it's not as if you have been setting yourself up for success from what you said in your post.. Why would u? You're not the only one wondering.. At least with a prison pal, you get no surprises and the hidden aspect of the twelfth house plays out leaving your venus to feel ok because it's not much different from your previous experiences.. Why not? IP: Logged |

:/ i'm just saying.. If the forecast says "rain" and they've outlawed umbrellas in your country, you can either keep changing your clothes and getting your entire wardrobe soaked or, u can shower in your clothes ahead of time and just be through it.IP: Logged |

I noticed your clever point from the start. But if that's the case, and say I do it for ***** and giggles, I'll have a 90% chance waking up to a machete blade to my throat vs letting karma give me another unattainable. It's all good though. "what doesn't kill you makes you a ninja"IP: Logged |

Well, a friend of mine considered it and i somewhat supported her and the good thing about those sites is that they list the crime they're serving time for. Your twelfth house is going to play out, regardless so why swim against the current? Make it work FOR you. Unless you're a nurse and would potentially fall in love unexpectedly with a patient, you could try other twelfth house themes (such as the prison pals) and get one that's in for dealing or smuggling. They're not ALL murderers. IP: Logged |

It aint basic or simple. What kind of person tells another person after expressing difficulties with romance to write a man in prison? It wasn't funny at allIP: Logged |

A person who has had experiences with people that have had venus in their twelfth house and have gone that route before? Ever considered that? IP: Logged |

And OP, i'm really not joking.. A girl i knew with venus in aquarius in her twelfth, made bad decisions after decision to the point of even losing all her friends because she slept with one of their boyfriends. She's dated boss after boss costing her her jobs and has had flings with drug dealers as if it were going out of style.. Well, she went the prison pal route because she was into astrology and remembered all that the twelfth house rules.I stopped talking to her (not because of that) so i never found out what became of it. With a pisces moon and neptune approaching after you'll be touched with chiron, i would suggest takong a more active role rather than just "running" into those situations.. Especially under the influence of Neptune. Get a po box if you're going to try it and if all else fails, you'll receive some pretty cool artwork in the mail and can rest assured they'll never show up on your doorstep (some of them are serving life). Instead of venus behind the curtain, it could be venus behind the cell.Success stories: http://www.prisonpenpals.com/successstories.html IP: Logged |

I get what you're saying C1ND3R, I think the miscommunication here is the association with Prison and the 12th house.Venus is exalted in the 12th house and/or in Pisces because of their sympathetic nature and their ability to soothe as well as their caregiver qualities. The very best nurses have this placement. But like everything else associated with the 12th house, there is a certain danger that exist and being a Prison pen pal would magnify this. One of the dangers would be the sympathetic nature of a 12th house Venus and being scammed or taken advantage of. The one problem point with this placement is their secret trysts. For whatever reason this seems to get them in more hot water than anything. But then that's part of the 12th house placement IP: Logged |

John Gacy went to prison (before murdering all those teenage boys) and then was released and became a "model" citizen. Well, we all know how well that one turned out.I knew someone who pen palled with a prisoner, the idiot. He manipulated her, conned her into leaving her husband for him when he was released then he robbed her husband of personal belongings at their home and he [the loser ex-con] told her he would have killed her husband had he walked into the home when he was there. Yeah, pen palling with a prisoner is the way to go. NOT! ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. Please tell me you're joking about this prison-pal-letter-writing thing....ok, maybe you're not.Venus in the 12th...I know someone with it, they try to "save" people regularly. Wish they wouldn't bother. PS JLyn - the person I know with Venus in the 12th has been married and divorced 3 times...
