I observe that too much Earth or afflicted Water would make one prone to depression,  quote:

My best friend, family members and myself suffer from "depression" Ie panic attacks,paranoia,feelings of never being able to solve any of my grief feeling downright pathetic.Physical aches in the center of my chest like punches to my soul whenever someone I loved disregarded me. I know every sign gets depressed but I notice a lot of my Aries friends pick themselves up and reinvent themselves . My Aquarius friend with a Gemini moon who is very cynical tries to cover it with witt and avoid "emotions". My sagg cousin with a pisces moon is never depressed eveeer she simply gets angry or sad for an hour nothing gets her down she's oblivious to reality lol! I'd say this past year has been a year of death and tragedy for me chiron oppostion chiron , saturn transitting 7th house also my chiron happens to be on my dc and I have an 8th house stellium all planets in scorpio and libra and a pisces asc.I went through puberty early around 10/11 I would often write suicide notes and rip them up strategically placing them so maybe my mother would notice :| egh that's when it all began at times I've been able to kid myself now that I am alone and am facing some heavy stuff i'M DESPERATE for that false sense of security relationships have always given me IP: Logged |

I am very moody and can be prone to bouts of depression. Both my mother and father have depression and anxiety. Interestingly enough all 3 of us have Mars in the 29th degree.Both me and my mother have Mercury influencing our Moons and Mercury-Saturn. We over-rationalize our emotions and can have a heavy and gloomy way of thinking as a result. Saturn in the 3rd can make one have a tendency to be pessimistic and depressed, and very deep thinking. I have it in Pisces so I become extremely deep, weird feeling, sometimes with suicidal thoughts when I get depressed but only as a coping mechanism. My dad has Gemini Moon and Venus conjunct Neptune. His Chiron is quincunx his Sun and opposite Pluto. IP: Logged |

My happiness is connected to money. Even if the other areas of my life r doing great. A blow to my finances makes me want to be a hermit until I have weathered the storm. It has happened once and that is the only time ever in my life I recall being depressed. However it is so foreign to me I believe I was in denial and told myself I was okay. I am also probably the only person that gets fatter the less cashish I have!  no wait I know another Taurus lol! IP: Logged |

I have Taurus sun, Gemini rising, cancer moon and Neptune in 8th house, I heard the last two are more prone to depression and / or moodiness. Gemini rising makes me a bit crazy (bipolar) and the erratic and flightless always goes against my Taurus and cancer side. Yup, definitely depressed almost all the time even without a reason. I would agree with heavy Saturn aspects or afflicted water making one prone to depression. Someone said fire voids...could we say that afflicted fire signs in the chart would make the native feel blocked in a way, leading to depression? The same could go for air, too.I'm predominantly water, so I do go through my hourly/daily/weekly moods, but my Fire Moon and Ascendant really help pick me back up. All my Cardinal energy is showing itself now that I'm leaving my youth behind; I'm emotionally stronger and more outgoing. These days, I'm only saddened about my seemingly non-existent social circle. 11H Mars conjunct Saturn in Scorpio, and it's a b***h for making friends. I can never keep 'em, I swear. I'm only friends with two girls I went to school with, and I only really like one of them! Plus, she is into a lot of things that don't interest me, and she lives far, has children, blah... ------------------

i think cancer-influenced people are prone to depression and wide mood swings - perhaps pisces too. i have encountered countless cancers and they seem to live under a gray cloud - i find them to be very depressive by natureIP: Logged |

I think this is more of a result of your taurus placements. My boyfriend is a taurus moon and he is very strong and resilient. Even when I have my down days he speaks to me logically and brings me back to earth. Most taurus influenced people I know have this about them. Just my observation.

same here man, we both have twelfth house saturns, I think that's the culprit. the interpretations of saturn in the twelfth say the native often feels as if life in and of itself is meaningless. IP: Logged |

I have a 12th house Saturn in Aquarius a ,this doesn't go well with my leo moon I can vary with extremes. I often just think about the fact that life is so fragile and we are all kidding ourselves. I cannot pretend as well as other people. IP: Logged |
