Or, have you shaken off its shackles and seamlessly blended your life's purpose to match what your North Node wants of you?

As an example, my south node is in Gemini, and over the last few years, I really seem to have left these Gemini traits behind

My interactions are less superficial, I talk a lot less, and although there is a Gemini who sits opposite me at work, I rarely get drawn into conversations.

I've never been on facebook, or twitter. Or Linkedin.

Gossip annoys me in a way it never used to before!

But I'm yet to embrace my Sagittarian north node.

my SN is in Scorpio. and i really can't see why i should give it up. every time i read about it i fail to understand what is there to leave behind. well i don't care. i want to be happy, not to reach out for my NN.

PS: as far as I'm aware one is supposed to harmonise the nodal axis rather than move from one pole to the opposite.

It almost seems like you're thinking in terms of abandoning the South Node. It's more about letting go of certain SN tendencies that would block NN growth.

I thought the south node was the remnants of your past life and you had to do your best to 'ditch the baggage'...

Are a you a Gemini south noder yourself, 12th houser?

PS And before you ask why I want to know, I'm "just curious"!!

Oh, I have a Cap SN, and I'm fully wallowing in it. I've done nothing whatsoever to go towards my NN, and it seems to be biting me in the patootie. It probably is best to harmonize between the two nodes, but I find it very difficult to go towards my NN path. At least the way that the path has been told to me by various astrologers. I do feel that it is something I have to work on.

Cosmic Karma, how does one "wallow" with a Capricorn SN?!! If anything, does it not make you ambitious, career-minded, respectful of the status quo etc?

My NN falls in my 10th house, and I guess I have to become more of what you want to be less of!

My SN is Scorpio too and are you seriously not sick of the crisis-ridden life, the secrets?

If someone's SN is in Cap, I don't think they'd be striving toward Cap characteristics. "Wallowing" seems to make sense.

Well, my SN is in my 9th house. I am ambitious, but it's towards things like education. I'm a "lifelong learner." I'm constantly taking classes, and going to school. It makes me very insular. I was once told I was a monk in a former life. Now, I'm not saying reincarnation is right or wrong, but for me, that makes perfect sense. I love to meditate alone for hours on end. I love to read, and stay in my room. For the last few years, I've done that in abundance. In fact, it has even become too much for me, and trust me, that's a lot! As for the other Cap tendencies, I'd say they are there, but I really seem to fulfill the house, more than the sign.

Now, my NN is in Cancer, 3rd house. What I've been told, I should be nurturing others. Ideally, I should have a child and nurture that child in a way that was denied to me during my crappy childhood. Also, I should be writing. Particularly since my NN and POF conjunct. Well, I've done neither of those things. I'm pushing 50 now, and never been married, let alone have a kid. I've only marginally fooled around with writing here and there. I've never really pursued that avenue to any great extent.

From what I've read about the NN, you're suppose to look at the house, and then the sign, and not really combine the two, but work with those energies.

They say one thing to give up is emotional dependency on lovers and intensity of attachment. Love and life are meaningless without it, sorry. I cannot be asked to sleep with strangers whose souls I know nothing about. And I cannot be asked to love them either. Love is intensity, feeling the soul of the other. Give that up? Like hell.

It's a weird think with my nodes. I have South Node in Leo in 11th, and North Node in Aqua in 5th, Leo naturally being the ruler of 5th and vice versa. So it kinda confuses me on what to do with them.

I think i'm really more comfortable with my South Node!I love my SN people, i have so much Leos in my life, which i totally adore, in fact - my best friends are ALL Leo. And in contrary, i don't really like Aquas, especially if they are conjunct my NN somehow.

I have loaded 11th house in which my SN resides, i have Jupiter, Chiron there, with Moon being in 11/12th in Leo (depending on which house system to use, equal suits me more, which makes it 12th)

I have to belong to groups, it's one of my basic needs. It's not always easy, but i need it. I want to use participation in groups in my career, to improve the society, to help my country - i participate in voluntary work, political party which is based on common ideals.

But at this point i don't think i have to learn to leave that aside. I love the Leo part of me, why should i aspire to Aquarians? My past is holding me tight, literally. So many past life connections (based on a feeling or memories, but all proved by Leo SN or Moon!)

I have moon in leo in the 10th conjunct my south node in leo in the 10th, so experiences in my life, especially my mother (represented by moon) will try to bring me back to my old leo ways and keep me there. It's true..she really wants me to sing opera and jazz for a living and show off my talent but even though i'm good at it, i really hate it. Well, i dont totally hate it, it is just boring to me..empty. It probably also doesnt help that my venus and mars are also in the 10th house in leo...though they are too far to conjunct my sn. My venus in the 10th is part of what gives me my musical talent though, so i dont hate it, i embrace it it's just not my road to soul growth.

My north node is in aquarius in the 4th and 5th house cusp. That's like saying my nn is in aqua, but it should be accomplished in leo and cancer-like ways. So, basically i have to be rebellious, humanitarian, an activist, and become part of a community in a way that is both creative and makes my individuality shine, while also nurturing mine and others' inner introspective needs. For example, group counseling in psychology is one of my possible dream jobs. Since i have three outer planets in the 3rd house, i was told i was made to write in some way or communicate something important in some way. I do feel that. So i will probably write books as a psychologist, do research, give speeches, group counseling. etc.

Hello, Cosmic Karma, we're probably in different time zones, so I read your post only today.

Now that I've read it, I don't know what to say!

North node in the 3rd house:
Not all writers started early!

NN in Cancer:
I'm of the opinion that a person either wants kids or they don't...not being interested in them myself, I don't subscribe to the popular view that being a parent is one of life's major achievements!

I do object to your phrase "pushing 50"...that's still young!!!
