What would indicate a change of personality in the chart?
An introvert turned extrovert for example.
Maybe the question should be: why would someone change the way they present themselves to the world drastically?
Could it be progressions?

Hmmm im not an expert , but i know Uranus likes changes so maybe a very strong influences uranus person? /aquarius people?

Also i would beleive aspects like Ascendant Opposition Sun

Could be. There are so many reasons.
Mutuable or mercury/uranus rising/mc more likely. A transit of planets in the 1st. May have also been externally influenced.

I was pretty skeptical about my progressed Sun changing signs but I did notice the change..
it was gradual tho, not abrupt.

Could also be hard aspects from transiting outer planets to Sun/Moon.
I've been through t.Uranus & Neptune on my Sun, and both of them also on my Moon. Pretty big shifts.
Transiting conj the angles too.
Also t.Neptune setting off a major config, since Neptune lets things hang loose and take on a life of their own.

A mutable sign emphasized in the birth chart, especially on the Asc, can mean alternating from say a shy personality, very withdrawing early in life for a Virgo type for example, to gaining confidence and knowledge and becoming more extroverted with life experience (usually not before age 25-30).
This is often triggerd by a major Jupiter transit to the Sun, Asc, etc.

Progressions can trigger latent aspects to a personality, particularly Pluto transits/progressions. These are the transformation transits/progressions.

I would also not discount major life changes. Taking medication, doing drugs/alcohol, moving, breaking up, reaching a new age level (like going from teen to adult), hormonal things/chemical imbalance, going through something rough, getting married, etc. can all change a person. Someone can also make a conscious choice to change behavior.

It all depends on what the person does with the transit, which is just a window of opportunity. And the ones I gave are just examples.

So mutable signs have a potencial for character changes in general?
The people who inspired me to this post are both mutable Suns with mutable Ascendants.
I yet have to check the progressions but I don't think there has been a Sun Sign change yet.

i am going through a uranus transit IN MY FIRST HOUSE lol. which is opposing my natal sun,merc,mars. the person i was before 2010, and the person i am now? complete 180. also i've changed alot physically, but i also have this pluto transit going through my 10th house, and its also squaring my natal sun, merc, mars, too. definetly pluto or uranus will cause a sudden (usually drastic) change with you.
