No, you can't tell sex from a natal chart if you don't know imo------------------

Also, some people prefer to define themselves as gender less, third gender, androgynous or etc. A bit hard to tell at this point, unless you get to know the person as an individual well enough  IP: Logged |

I don't think it's dumb. You stated in your original post you were referring to one's soul being masculine or feminine. Some people can handle that type of inquiry about themselves, and some can't. Personally, I do feel my 'soul' leans toward masculine... say 60M/40F...though I am female in this lifetime. I actually got a 'channeling' that came up with 57/43, so I was pretty close. Ha. I recall many male lifetimes, and hardly any female. I have heavy Sagittarius influence...Sun, Asc and three planets. So in my case, the weight in masculine fire does reflect my overall 'soul' energy, I'd say. In the 'feminine' earth and water elements, I have three planets. Sounds too absurdly simple, of course, but it seems valid in my case.

Great question! I'm inclined to believe (of course, I can't know 100%) that we are both, but we incarnate as just half of a soul, the other half (our twin flame) either staying behind in the spirit world or reincarnating in the opposite gender, or even the same gender (some ppl say that homosexuality is born out of our soul's search for our twin who, in that specific life, has the same gender as we do). Together with our twin, we, in soul form, are neither gender or, better said, both, cause we become whole again... I know, it sounds mushy...
EDIT: I, too, have a lot of placements in masculine signs, more than half (if I remember correctly, it's 6 to 4).IP: Logged |

No, but you might be able to tell if it's "more feminine" or "more masculine"... cause sometimes - a woman can be more masculine than a man and viceversa. IP: Logged |

There is a book called Astrological Insights into Personality by Betty Lundsted. Near the front of the book, it has something about masculine and feminine signs. It is a very interesting read.IP: Logged |

I figured that this is what you meant by the OP. You know what? I don't think you can tell. I have Mars in Cancer, Venus in Virgo, all stuff that would stereotypically be associated with 'feminine' energy, but honestly I'm a pretty masculine female in terms of my thought processes. IP: Logged |
