Hello to all, I have a virgo moon, asc in libra, and sagittarius sun. I have not to long ago fallen into a bit of a depression. It is rough (maybe because saturn is also transiting the 1st house and neptune is in the 5th transiting). Nonetheless, my virgo moon has been driving me insane lately. It has made me anxious and irritable. I am so critical and an expert in over-analyzation of circumstances. If you have a virgo moon, how do you tame it??? HOW? (also have moon square mars) What is the easiest moon position to have? Is Virgo moon the most difficult? What are your opinions? IP: Logged |

Really? I have saggy sun, virgo moon, libra ac!! My Moon falls in 12th house, very hard to deal with the isolation! Ive worked long and hard to stop the emotional critism of myself...learning to accept yourself is huge because that virgo moon can rip you up!!IP: Logged |

I used to be ocd, but I grew out of it! Now I just get very critical of myself. If I had to choose between the ocd and the criticism, I would choose neither IP: Logged |

that reminds me of my family's dog, actually he is most likely a Virgo sun (slight possibility of Libra; we don't have his exact birthdate, only month and year) and is so nitpicky and observant of everything I find it so cute and he's so lovable, though, so it's endearing most of the time that I'm with him rather than annoying.

I'm not virgo moon but my mom and sister are, bless your little heart! They both actually take medicine for OCD and rag on all family members like they any better.. sorry.. but this is what I've lived with: okay! so I've noticed if one of them became more spiritual and/or forgiving {to their self} it seemed to rub a soothing balm to that moon. what's that saying "you treat people how you feel inside"?

Oh dear, yeah OCD is not the issue - I did manage to grow out of it. Maybe I became more lethargic. But anyways, I am just too critical of myself sometimes. Its so hard IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, until you learn to love yourself you can't love anyone else...everything starts inside your heart and until you come to terms with the fact your not perfect, and your still a wonderful person soooo deserving of love....misery is all you'll know! We poject our feelings on the world around us, we either give it to others by criticizing them or we bring the energy back to us through bringing situations and people into our lives validate the way we feel about ourselves! If you don't respect yourself, and cant accept your not perfect...but your still pretty damn good...then the pain of the judgment and condemnation you put yourself through will continue to hold you under....forever! Whats amazing about embracing the things your ashamed of about yourself...and trying to look at them as just a cute lil quirk you cant help...is that once you let go of the guilt and relax about not being perfect...and you genuinely stop expecting perfection of yourself...you begin to love yourself and love gives strength, strength brings growth and suddenly you find yourself evolving into the person you've always wanted to be without hardly any effort! Criticism brings change from pain, by forcing you to rebuild and make new because youve been torn apart and are lift in pieces, love lifts you out of the old and transforms you into a new person through seeing a new way of being, its an inspiration... I'm Sag Sun, Moon Virgo, Aries ASC and I enjoy my Moon placement. Not only is it in Virgo, but it's also in the 6th House. I think whenever the sun transits my Moon it is easy to get agitated and frustrated, especially because my natal Sun and Moon are exactly square. For me the key to "taming" my Moon is letting the Sag and Virgo take turns. I feel lucky that I am capable of looking at life through a telescope and a microscope. Perhaps the taming comes when we don't invest all our energy in the minute or the big picture, but choose to deal with life as it arises; on its own terms. When my Moon freaks out, I surround myself with nature. It is an energy both Virgo and Sag identify with. IP: Logged |

It is. but isn't our torn "moonlike" issues really just a mental thing if you think about it... I had a cool gypsy neighbor I would visit with for coffee years ago and she would tell me stories about the mentality they discovered back in the day on lsd lol she said, everything you manifest in thought becomes your own 3D reality... I think she's right. IP: Logged |

As we all know.. Virgo can be negative, cynical, depressed and eventually it can become a cycle that's hard to break. The one thing Virgo is not good at, is the big picture. Unlike Sagittarius, Virgo notices the details and often obsesses over them, focusing too much on what's wrong, what's broken, what "needs" to be fixed. When the individual is unsure of themselves and their abilities, and has no outlet for the Virgoan energy, they turn it inwards and become self-critical, self-conscious, notice all their flaws and become anxious about them. Accepting their own humanity - and thus, their imperfection - is extremely hard, because it's seen as a failure, a worthlessness that they consider unshakable and that makes them unlovable. As someone else stated, the key is acceptane of the self first and foremost. It may be one of the hardest things to do for a Virgo Moon because perfection becomes a basic "need" that is expected to be met. I think it's important to channel the energy outside of oneself. If you really can't help your need for criticism, try to apply it to things and not people. For example, you could write a journal about all the things you view as unaccetable, be it social standards, the way people can be inconsiderate, the way animals are (mis)treated, poor countries where people die of hunger, etc. The energy needs to be expressed, you can't just repress it forever. The thing to do is change the target. Focus on what's wrong *outside* of yourself (but please try to be gentle with your closed ones!), and what you can do about it - for example, make people aware of the problems in the world, try to make them react, create or participate in an organisation, do charity work, etc. That way the Virgoan qualities will still be expressed, but in a positive, contstructive way. And once you're less focused on yourself and your "flaws", you won't even mind them that much. Tolerance will come more naturally.
Also.. become more faithful. Virgo could learn from Sag and Pisces about faith and spirituality. Anxiety and obsessive negative tendencies can decrease significantly with the bigger picture in mind, and a good deal of faith and hope. You should strive to believe - just believe in something good, something better.
And finally, keep in mind that the Virgo/Pisces axis is about selflessness, it's all about service to others. As hard as it may be to accept, the ego issues here are more crippling than with the other signs. That's why when you focus too much on yourself, your own world, your own problems, your own body, etc, it brings so much pain and negativity. You're "supposed" to focus on others, and how you can help them. The dissolution of the ego is of utmost importance here, and while it's very difficult to become almost selfless (a healthy sense of individuality is of course necessary), eventually it will only bring peace and satisfaction. That's why Virgo Moons usually like helping people, because they feel good about it, and it does make them feel good about themselves, too. Of course they should strive to help others just for the sake of it, and not to make themselves feel "worthy" or "good people". It should come naturally, genuinely.
I hope you feel better soon, hang in there and don't despair, there is always a way out. =)

The Virgo Moon is one of the hardest. Virgo is one of the hardest signs, all around, in my opinion. I think Chiron is it's ruler, not Gemini. Hence, one can look at Chiron and see how hard that might be.The Moon may be one of Virgo's hardest positions because the Moon loves warm fuzzies. The Moon loves tenderness and hugs and kisses. I can see a Virgo Moon as wanting to join the circle with humanity's emotions, but feeling outside of it. Does this fit? I need to ask questions to understand placements which are not my own. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

EXACTLY. "When my Moon freaks out, I surround myself with nature. It is an energy both Virgo and Sag identify with." -- this really helps me too, it just calms down everything inside. Thanks all, I really needed this post, I have a virgo moon too and i've been feeling really down lately as well.

I think with pisces neptune, and pisces chiron transits hanging around all of us with virgo moons, and saggy/gemini placemnets are going to be feeling a bit let down by life! With the deep wounds of Chiron making a hard aspect to our emotions, then add the delusions of neptune to it, maybe we arent able to see the reality...that nothing has changed except our perception of reality...but we are in control of that and maybe realizing we have a bad transit hitting our emotions might help put us perk up! Maybe? I hope! IP: Logged |
