Okay, I totally admit that I stole this title from another forum, not this one though. But the subject is interesting. Yeah there's free will and stuff in our chart is manifested differently and sometimes transits don't happen or we don't click with our compatible signs blah blah blah, but tell me a (true) story of a time where Astrology or an Astrologer pinpointed a certain situation or problem and you deliberately went against it only for it to backfire in your face. I suppose if you want, you can tell me stories of Astrology telling you one thing, you disregarding it and everything's okay, LOL! IP: Logged |

I think astrology always wins in my case, even going back to when I was just reading daily horoscopes. IP: Logged |

On the flip side, right now I'm having a bit of angst about Astrology. I mean, the past two/three weeks things have been rough. I mean, really, REALLY rough. It's like a Mercury Rx on steroids or something. Right now with the transits, nothing that drastic is happening in my chart. The only significant thing seems to be t.Saturn directly opposite my n.Sun. Otherwise, not much else. In fact, I have a grand trine with t.Pluto, n.Uranus and my ASC. Still, I'm in one of those phases everyone goes through. Where everything--and I do mean--EVERYTHING seems to go south on you. I just can't see it in the chart, but I'm no pro astrologer either.IP: Logged |

Yep it sure has. Every time I bring up Astrology to anybody I know they give me the side eye. But also everyone I know tends to be super religious or super sciencey too.
Do you have a story to share also Sand? IP: Logged |

I feel you, Cosmic. t.Saturn is squaring my own natal Sun and opposing my Moon. What house is t.Saturn transiting in your chart and what house is your Sun in? Things do tend to feel like they are delayed or going south when Saturn is involved, but you know, it could be that things are in the process of changing and it's an opportunity to step back and think about what's no longer working in your life. But then again, it depends on your chart and the houses and such... IP: Logged |

Neptune can do a number on you in synastry and in transits, but sometimes it can be more of a generational aspect. Some say Mars is good for physical attraction. Was it really competitive with the hard Mars? IP: Logged |

I don't think you can ever fight Astrology and win. I have such profound respect for the charts that I feel I have the heartbeat of the person, in my hands when I do the charts. That is not to say that one MUST act on anything, as there is always choice, but one will wrestle with his chart issues and I don't think all can be overcome. Rather, they need to be accepted and one can work on maximizing one's gifts. That is my personal opinion. Many people differ with it ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. The more time that goes on, the less I believe in free will where natal astrology is concerned. I've noticed that, even when people think they're not acting out their chart, or trying their damndest not to, they are anyway. IP: Logged |

my ex and i had mercury opposite mercury...i thought we could get over that aspect because at first we really enjoyed talking with each other and had similar interests but after 6 months-1 year in the relationship, i realized his method of thinking really p*ssed me off and i just didn't understand where he was coming from when i tried to have serious discussions with him. i ultimately broke up with him because of a lack of passion and because i just thought he was a total idiot and his thought processes frustrated the hell out of me.Me- Mercury in Sag Him - Mercury in Virgo IP: Logged |

Thanks! Well, it can't stay like this forever. That's the good news. Next year should be interesting, with t.Uranus sextile and stationary with my n.Venus. Anyway, that's next year. t.Saturn is just about out of my 6th house. n.Sun is in the 12th house. It isn't so much what I'm thinking, instead, it has been more like a huge Mercury Rx effect. It started with my car transmission giving out. A HUGE fix, $-wise. Then a medical bill came in that my insurance won't cover. Then my car registration came due. Then I accidentally parked without putting up my parking permit--got nailed, and now have a parking ticket. My own fault there, though. Plus a whole slew of other little things cropping up through the day that put me behind schedule. Thing is, t.Jupiter is in my 2nd house. Instead of gaining any $, it's flying out the door at breakneck speed! Ugh! All this has happened in just a couple of weeks. It's kind of depressing, since I've been actively looking for work practically every day since June. Not one single interview yet, and the agencies have so far given me zilch. I'm trying to stay optimistic. It can't last like this forever, but it sure is taking its sweet time. Sounds like t.Saturn is maybe giving you a bit of depression and some doubts about yourself? That would be my guess if the Sun and Moon are involved. IP: Logged |

I know no matter how i try i cant escape pluto...its the theme of my life! My life started with me and my mom nearly dying during birth! Pluto is conjunct my Ac/venus..exact sextile my neptune, and opposed my aries jupiter...my neptune is in a stellium with my sun/merc..my sun/merc is trined my saturn under a degree...pluto semi squares my uranus also, constantly putting that abrupt change uranus with that tear down/rebuild pluto in my face... I never had any stability, mom married 4 times by the time i was 20, went to 11 schools, on verge of nervous breakdown n suicide by 15..married a jerk at 19, nearly lost my 8 month old son in accident, mulitple skull fracture, 2 blood transfusions, then my family turned back on me because i wanted blood transfusions for him but it was against the religion...lost everything i'd ever known....it goes on...but point is my life has been plagued with loss, always losing everything and starting over alone. PLUTO! Took me 35 years to realize, i cant stop the energy...i cant get stability unless im focusing this negative energy into something positive! So, i had to decide to gain control of this energy...i need to focus pluto on tearing down negatives as a job! So i've been learning skills to help others dig into their sub conscience fear and pain and begin to rebuild themselves...You can't stop the energy you were born under, all you can do is learn to channel it. The bad can be turned into good, if you learn to see it, accept it and then find out how its energy could be used as a positive... I have saturn sq my uranus by 2 degrees, so after finally letting go of the absolute control i kept over not accepting myself and forcing perfection from myself and started accepting im not perfect, i started learning to be myself and now i see how destructive it is to deny who you are. Denial of reality was much of how pluto kept pummeling me...these energies played off each other and kept me trapped. **Now i feel its my responsibility to help others accept themselves for how unique they are, and its our responsibility to express our individuality! whats funny is my saturn is leo and my uranus is scorpio Fun with responsibility and digging deep to uncovering your individuality! My saturn is in my 10th house and ive turned this into my job! If i didnt have astrology i probably would still be stuck, it gave me an outside perspective that showed these energies i felt were real, and it was up to me to change them. Its become something im passionate about....helping others accept and love themselves, and ive noticed my pluto isnt railroading me since ive started focusing its energy to help others tear down their walls of pain and accept themselves. So i think ive learned you can't change the energy of your chart, its about manipulating the energy into something positive. I believe there is no bad energy, just bad expressions of the energy...all serves a purpose for growth you just have to be creative in finding its positive value to you. IP: Logged |

I never segregated myself from certain signs and scoffed at the idea Aries couldn't get along with Libras, but I really notice the level of irritation between me and Libras lately! I've been meeting Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus in Libras and I can tell they don't like or don't understand how to take my honesty. In turn I find them to be indirect and even dishonest at times, which drives me INSANE! I understand I can learn from them about some things, but in social situations I fail to see them carry any depth/substance. To me, they seem glib.Sorry to trash Libras. I know not all of you can be like that. I think Mars in Libras like me because of my Gem ASC and Mars in Gem but for some reason the other four placements don't gel with me! IP: Logged |
