i dislike soups, bacon, spam. love a good iced latte. yeah iced lol! i've been eating panizzas every sunday for 3 weeks straight. it's that thin pizza you roll with alfalfa and basil leaves.

don't care about smell or presentation for the most part. but it can't smell rotten of course. i hate the smell of fried food. it sticks.

sun taurus, moon leo, venus taurus, merc aries, asc scorpio. 2nd house sag. my dad is a picky sag and tries a lot of restaurants. me i stick to the places i like lol so taurus. my family is also in the food industry. uranus is in h2. dunno if i'm prone to any of those. i have a hedonistic side but i don't think so.

I have moon in leo and like all of those things. I esp love spicey/Indian food!

I love breakfast foods especially pancakes, french toast, bacon, and eggs. Whenever I go to a restaurant, whether it's the morning/afternoon/night I order breakfast if it's available lol.

Give the usually stats; Sun/moon/venus/mercury/asc and your 2nd house rules the mouth and teeth, It also reveals some of your early or childhood experiences with your family that may have developed your taste preference. Additionally the 2nd house can indicate alcohol, drug and food addictions.

Early home life and childhood is fourth house. 2nd is values and what you own. 12th is probably more the domain of addiction, especially because of the association with Neptune.

To answer the actual question though - taste matters more to me than smell, although if the food stinks or has a smell that I find off-putting in some way, I'm not going to want to eat it. Taste-wise, I've always had a thing about salt - I love salt. I love tart, tangy and bitter tastes too. I also love sweets. In a nutshell it's probably just more accurate to say I like really definite, extreme flavors.

I also love it when I get thrown a curveball - when something tastes different than the way you'd expect it to - I like the idea of meats tasting sweet, that sort of thing, which I chalk down to my Venus-Uranus quintile.

Again brush up on your houses, the 2nd house represents the physical body, the physical pleasures and ruled is by Taurus Pleasures of the senses.
This house shows our attitude towards physical pleasures. It tends to be more sensual than other houses, refining the fives senses; refining a taste palette. This can be considered the house of the good life.
It shows the personal appreciation of sensory stimulation; as in the enjoyment of a good meal or even the simple pleasure of sleep.
Secondly aside from being a ruler of the tongue, mouth and the genereal five senses, this house reflects the foundation of our most basic values, the principles we appreciate and seek to uphold i.e. the principles that people are not born with rather those from personal experiences and early childhood; the concern for basic needs including food and clothing and well as the possible escalation to the negative side of this house; food addiction and overindulgence. I am not talking about physical home life or the development of a person's childhood psyche itself (4th house).

I like salty things especially salads, even when I drink water I think of salty and spicy things. I like cucumber and tomato salad. A couple of weeks ago I baught a can of pineapple put it in a tub and sprinkled salt and red chili powderr in it and mix it up, delicious! I buy a tomato soup can put it in a tub add some water (no need for salt) add black pepper and lemon juice and microwave it, its delicious.

I have intense likes and dislikes, I dont like any dressings that are curdled or whatever? Like ranch but vinegrettes I like. Maybe my like for salty spice comes from cancer moon and scorpio rising.

that's my favorite diet breakfast with a hard boiled egg and lettuce to keep the thing in place. i think the cucumber is shaved though so it looked like really thin slices of green stuff lol! only recently i was privy to it being cucumber.

oh and try gazpacho for that tomato soup. possibly the only soup i like. though it is served cold. i think. i used to have that and a burger patty for lunch. also a fav.

I love hot, hot, hot. I even eat ghost chili pepper powder in good doses.

I think my Cancer moon and mars may give me a "cold" stomach, as they would say in Oriental medicine. Cancer can hold his emotions in his stomach, so he needs some dy-na-mite to get it revved up

First and foremost, I like top quality sashimi.

I'm from New England, so I like my lobsters, oysters, mussels and clams. I'll never protest about a 48 oz. Porterhouse. I'm also partial to Hawaii, so I like my fish, kalua, laulau and poi. Loco Moco, oh yeah. My Mrs. is from the South, so I also like BBQ, fried chicken, collard greens, grits, etc. It's all different from Atlanta to Memphis to St. Louis to Dallas. You guys ever eaten a Kobe burger? I also like Itslian food a lot. Oso Bucco, Saltimbocca and Zuppa di Pesce are at the top of my list.

Saltimbocca alla Romana: Veal scallopini, prosciutto di Parma and spinach

I also like food that is a fusion between cultures. I'm still a man, and so I like tasty junk like Lomo Saltado, a wonderful Peruvian dish that looks self explanatory.

But I also like my food super spicy. The more spicy, the better. Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Latino, Carribean, African: I like them all spicy. I like my habaneros and jalapeños.

Ail221, you mentioned you have roots in Malaysia? Lilithpluto and I are from that part of the world.

And you are incorrect. Go a bit further north to Thailand and Vietnam.

Well Pho barely scatches the surface and is far from being representative of Vietnamese food.

Yes I DESPISE milk/cheese based dressings in salads, I do like vinaigrettes, raspberry and sesame/ginger dressings. Salt just intensifies the burn of spicy :scrunch face: but pink pepper and sea salt work well together.

I am not talking about physical home life or the development of a person's childhood psyche itself (4th house).

Second house is your possessions, your value system, so on and so forth. It has nothing to do with your preferences taste-wise. Just because Taurus is ruled by Venus doesn't automatically make the second house the house associated with food, and frankly I'm surprised that your thinking is either that simplistic or your astrological knowledge is that weak that you'd actually think so, and it's even more laughable that you hinge it on the argument of how, according to you, the actual teeth and mouth are the second house, when we aren't talking about the literal body parts here but taste preferences, which is Venusian but in a Libran sense. I won't even get into the literal aspect of how both the teeth and mouth are contained in the head and the head is a first house matter, not a second.

Pile as much condescension into your reply as possible, it's not going to make the sh*t you're peddling, gold, just because you say so. And in fact, I'd love to see you post that exact comment over on the Astrodienst boards, and report back to me with what they tell you. But I get the feeling that you know better than to do THAT when roughly twenty percent of the members there are actual, practicing astrologers, and have done so longer than probably you or I have even been alive.

And again - the fourth house is the home, your current home, along with your home life as a child, the literal home environment as well as your experience/interpretation of it. Addiction is 12th house, which, yet again, makes sense when you consider the association between Neptune and the 12th house, and how Neptune is also, in its shadow state, the planet of addiction.

Before you try to dress someone down, you'd go a long way towards not embarrassing the sh*t out of yourself, if you actually knew what the hell you're talking about, because I promise you, someone can - and will - call you out on it and make you eat your words.

There's a little something for you to chew on. ♥
