I'm a libra rising and I feel I can say things bluntly and lack tact. I am generally passive and overly sweet in person because I don't know how to say things with tact, so I'd rather just stay quiet than put my foot in my mouth. More assertive people seem to know how to say things diplomatically, and that's why they aren't passive.

I have also met a lot of libra risers who are like me. Because we seem sweet, we dont get in too much trouble for saying things without tact, but I feel it's something we should learn anyway.

I haven't noticed libra influenced people being tactless ever, if anything they are too tactful at times. the only exception I have seen is my friends libra sister, she can be downright hateful, but I'm sure she has something else contributing to that in her chart.

It's hard to catch it. It happens rarely, because we really try for it not to happen, but we know the possibility for it to is always there very close to the surface lol. I think you have to really know us for a while.

hmm maybe. but I don't know because I have venus conjunct ascendant and I honestly feel like it kinda puts a leash on my bluntness. I have mars in the third and aqua sun and ascendant so I can be really blunt. but I would definitely be more blunt if I didn't have venus on the ascendant.people think I have no filter but they don't realize how much I actually censor and sugarcoat things.

i'm not a libra rising, but i'm a sun,mars,merc cnjct in libra w/pisces rising. and i lack tact too. i think its my sun mars conjunction. or that conjunction squaring my uranus? i just cant seem to sugar coat anything. i say exactly what is on my mind, without thinking before speaking (this could be my mer conjunct mars also).. it doesn't help that i have a very "authoritive" tone to my voice either. and my voice is kinda loud too(leo moon?). sometimes its like the minute a thought comes to mind, my mouth spits it out at the same time. alot of people do seem to appreciate my bluntness.the only times i've caught myself thinking before speaking, is when it comes to someone i care about, whom i know is especially sensitive. but even then i'm still very blunt. just not brutal with it lol. its either i'm going to be completely honest, or not say anything at all. looking at those britney gifs,reminds me of how i speak to some ppl at times (the mean sarcastic bored tone). but i have no sag planets. although my leo moon does trine my sagg MC... and with all the libra and the pisces ascendant, i should be the calm, easygoing type no?. i'm the exact opposite. i am very aggressive for a female. for a libra female at that lol.

I'm the opposite of Britney--Libra sun/Merc, Sag rising.

Usually, I'm polite (Libra) but every now and then I can be blunt or mouthy or p-ed off
and just start talking without thinking (Sag).

Libra rising people I have met have been polite.

hmm, I'm a Libra Rising and I think that we aren't necessarily tactless, but we tend to stay quiet to remain diplomatic...so when we do speak up, people act startled, as though we've said something strange.

BUT, I have noticed that I can sometimes say things a bit bluntly (especially with friends/family) but that tends to be in situations where things need to be said (again, the Libra asc. keeping the balance) and I always figured that *what* & *how* i say it is due to my aqua sun or aries moon.

I guess. I am not sure now. Maybe it's the libra rising people and libra sun people i know who may have sag placements or afflicted mercuries or mars and uranus afflictions..

I don't know. It was a theory because i read it on the internet, that libra rising are passive and quiet because they dont know how to say what they want to say in a totally tactful way. And it seemed true for me. But i have mercury opposite uranus! so maybe it's just that aspect.

Lol. i do know a lot of argumentative libras...that cant be coincidence. I dunno..i am confused now. lol

then again..i did know an aquarius with scorp moon leo rising with mercury conjunct uranus and she is the most tactful person i know. she does have sun conjunct venus though.

Ami, but dont u think that learning the social skills that allow people to be assertive is what will give us that courage? like what to say, how to act, how to go about it. I think since we stumble when it comes to those things, we stay passive.

Might the position of Venus affect it? Like, Britney Spears has her Venus in Capricorn, which is one of least tactful signs I know! RAS, your Venus is Leo, right? Leos can be pretty blunt and plain (though they mean no harm). One of my friends is a Libra Rising, Pisces Venus, and she's really soft spoken and reserved...

I really wouldn't read too much into Britney Spears of all people. She's merely a marionette whose strings are pulled by multi billionaire executives for the purpose of money and entertainment- and more money. Nothing she says on that show is ever a product of independant thought- she's told what to say and do.

There must be better Libra rising examples.

I actually see the Sagittarius in Britney being the more direct and perhaps untactful part of her. I have the reverse of Britney, Libra Sun with Sagittarius rising, and I can come off as a bit tactless to certain people with certain things even though most of the time I'm more charming and polite. Sometimes Sagittarian people can be a bit too direct. I have a Sadge aunt who is the same way but it's not with malicious intent usually.

Also, how someone commented she has Venus, her chart ruler, in Cap... is a big sign of being very direct too.

Most Libra rising people I've met are painfully self-aware, aware of the feelings of others, always making sure they choose just the right words and phrases as to keep peace and not hurt feelings.

simon has that libra-sag thing going on too (libra sun sag moon among other things) but he is a producer and is reasonably competent.

Sagittarius can be charming that's true - but from all the zodiac - they can also be the biggest jerks if you touch a sensitive nerve... so sloppy with words - so insensitive... both females and males... and for that - it might be enough to have Mercury in Sagittarius...

I agree with most on here. Libra risers I've met are very tactful and graceful. If they need to tell you something they will absolutely not be upfront and rude.
