It's always seemed very strange to me how snake women seem like they'd be the type to love kids since they seem so joyful, loving, kind, and nurturing, but then when and if you were to ask them, you'd find out that they actually hate kids. ------------------ $3.50 ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings | Ideal compatibility (3rd post) | Q&A | What's a Love stellium? Well if you consider that Pig women (opposite of Snake) are considered one of the best homemakers/mothers, I would say snakes are not very maternal, but nurturing yes. I think there are a few reasons... 1. Snake women might find the task of raising children to be a bore intellectually, it is kind of a simple, mundane, and repetitive task which may drive you up a wall lol . 2. Snake women (and men) are very vain and the thought of your figure being ruined might be a turn off. 3. Snakes LOVE their meditative quiet time, and a loud screaming baby will most definitely disturb their relaxation constantly lol Although Snake women will be VERY protective of their children, and Snakes can be quite violent if necessary . You're a Cancer RAS so I'm sure you'll be a great mother . ------------------ Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius ASC, Year of the Earth Snake "The Manticore is a mythological creature that is half-lion and half-scorpion." Thank you for that list! I definitely agree with all of that! Have read some of those on the internet as well about the snake and having kids. I just thought it was quite odd how snake women pride themselves so much on being feminine, and I even see a lot who are happy to be photographed with babies. Yet, they're only drawn to the idea of it and how it adds to our image and makes us feel about ourselves, but when it comes to actually dealing with the uglies, we shirk away.------------------ $3.50 ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings | Ideal compatibility (3rd post) | Q&A | What's a Love stellium? Exactly Yeah, Snake women are one of the most feminine as far as looks and behavior easily. Also, we Snakes have a tendency towards laziness, which is part of our enjoying relaxation thing , but that can be an issue with the 24/7 job of raising a child/children. Personally, I wonder if any placement makes you want or like kids. I am not a kid person *at all* and I have a Cancer moon plus lots of water. Empty 5th planet-wise, though. I've also met childfree Cancer suns and have heard of a few Leos who don't want kids, and know a few who never had any (not sure if the ones who didn't wanted to or not; they never mentioned it one way or the other). As for Chinese astrology, remember, too, that everyone born under the same year is the same sign, and even having the same sign, as with Western, there's a lot of diversity. I myself like feminine things, but, other than cooking and decorating, I really don't have an interest in domestic stuff. I'm a lot more bossy and in some ways outright not-feminine, though I hide it: Linda Goodman called us Libras "iron fists in velvet gloves" for a reason! And, too, being kind and feminine and being good with kids aren't mutually exclusive. That is, someone can be very feminine without liking kids or wanting them and can be very kind without liking kids or wanting any. When I am at my most kind/loving, I still am not good with kids and still don't want to have any or be really involved with them. (However, I've never met a puppy that I didn't love). Likewise, someone can also be very butch and be a great mom/great with kids, or else maybe be less sweet/nurturing but still be a good parent. So, just because someone doesn't like or want kids does NOT mean that they aren't feminine or kind. They can be both and still not be really into kids. IP: Logged |

Sag Fire Snake here. Never wanted kids up to this point of my life. I met a wonderful Cancer Fire Snake man and I wanna have all his babies now. Go figure.BTW I am extremely nurturing in my relationships and also can never ignore suffering animals. My parents were fed up with my dragging all the homeless kitties to the house when I lived with them. IP: Logged |

LOL, I used to do that also, but with stray dogs too . Maybe it is my Venus in Virgo? I heard something about that placement liking small animals?

The whole "oh you'll meet the right person" is just a condescending remark that people make to people without kids because THEY want you to do something. They try to push THEIR life choices on you--some because they're know-it-alls and think that they have everything figured out, and others because they're secretly miserable and want to drag you down with them. If it were really true that "it's different when it's your own", there would never be one single case of child abuse or neglect. The fact is, it's just not true. Really, some people want kids. Some don't. Some can go either way and don't care. Some feel torn about it. I don't think it wise to bow to societal pressure to have kids or a feeling of being obligated to have kids. If someone is going to have kids, frankly, I feel that they should want them without any doubts and should be in position to raise them--financially, materially, mentally, emotionally/psychologically, and in being able to find daycare/work it around their schedules and lifestyle. I don't believe in having kids just to have them or because one wants them: they need more than love. I don't really find it fair to a kid or to others to have a kid if you can't take care of it, don't want it, and won't do/aren't willing to do a good job of it. At this point, I just refuse to associate with people who try to push their lifestyle on me and I just ignore them because they aren't worth it. As for homeless people, I wouldn't bring one into my home: you really don't know who they are, where they've been, what they do, and they could harm you. If it was someone that I knew, like a friend, and they were not into drugs/violence/anything that could be dangerous or harm me, I might think about it, but most likely, I would help them find help rather than let them live with me. With me it's a combination of things. I FEEL ready. Age plays a part too. I'm terrified of giving birth though.

well, to be fair, though, a couple's love can be just as deep or even deeper if they don't want kids--just because they don't want them or one does not want them doesn't mean that their love is less deep or meaningful (wow, Platero, way to lay it on thick with double-negatives and fail grammar forever) @ Manticore I prefer not to give out my Chinese sign, as that would give out my birth year. any specific ones that you do like? is it more afraid of them or just not liking their company? I don't like every single animal--am scared of some animals--but I do love dogs and things that are cute, fluffy, and not likely to kill me Animal testing is actually one reason why I recently switched my brand of beauty products (and they're working well with my skin, too--the "new" ones, so it works all around). That's understandable, but you don't have to include the element, then we wouldn't know what year you are
