Topic: Plz help me understand a scorpio mercury and how they communicate, takn it personally

I have a Libra mercury on the Scorpio cusp and I hate texts. I consider iphones, text messaging, and all that to be problematic at best (unless it's something practical like "pick up milk on the way home" or "will be a few minutes late" then it's easy to confuse things without expression, body language, tone of voice, etc, that we assume in our own heads but the other person doesn't get) and also strikes me as a way to avoid people or at least keep them at a distance. They also feel like leashes (which my Sag doesn't care for). And it might be worth it if the chatter wasn't so constant and inane...I don't even ride with some people anymore because they text while they drive and it's usually about really pointless stuff. And my bestie had a problem with a boyfriend who KNEW she was driving and got upset when she didn't text him right back (like was he TRYING to kill her?). I also dislike it when someone I'm in a conversation with starts texting. It's one thing to check a text but if it's really so important that you MUST respond right away then excuse yourself before doing it, otherwise I consider it rude (and I'd do the same). That could be my Leo ascendant, however. If anyone got upset because I wouldn't text them back regularly (nor would I apologize for it either) then we'd have to break up as I'd feel leashed, smothered, and that s/he was insecure in trying to make sure I didn't "stray" while I wasn't next to his or her side. If I can't be trusted to have a life without an umbilical cord tied to my significant other then it's not going to work between us. I think men are even less likely to text all the time (I expect some have text ability simply because they have to have the latest tech toys, and also use it as they can fake sentiment a lot easier by texting as well as using it as a method of control, at least that's how I've observed plenty doing it). So maybe he's just a guy. Personally I'd be glad he'd rather talk to me face to face instead of over an impersonal machine. But that's probably just my planets talking.  IP: Logged |

I have Sun, Merc, and Venus all in Aries with a Taurus moon and Gem ASC. To me, I should be one of the toughest signs with thick skin. For the most part I am, until I'm speaking with a Scorpio mercury and then I feel about *thissmall.* Their tone is just awful and I think they have negative side affects from being so close to Sagittarius. They make me feel stupid a lot but not in a light kind of way like I could take or understand. IP: Logged |

I know a guy like that.
He's got a Scorpio stellium (Sun, Venus, Mercury & Pluto) and he's like super quiet, and I never see him on the phone, be it texting or talking.
It's very hard to know what he's thinking about or what he really thinks about you.
He's like a walking enigma, the stereotypical Scorpio all books talk about.He can be sarcastic, and makes jokes sometimes, but in a biting kind of way. He doesn't seem very social at all but for some reason lots of girls know him and he knows a lot of people.. and I wonder why ? lol Anyway, he's got a Pisces Moon so I guess it only magnifies his "silent" side. Cause I have Scorpio Mercury and I'm definitely not a quiet person, probably because I have Gemini rising. And I love writing messages. Not too fond of phone conversations but I definitely don't mind texting.
So, if you want this guy to open up to you or something, I think it's not even worth the wait cause Scorpios seldom say what they truly think/feel. But try to spend time with him face to face cause his actions should tell you quite some things, unless he's taken.

My! I know a person like what you just described! She is a Scorpio Sun, Scorp Merc, Moon Pluto, and Pisces Moon. Too quiet, doesn't say much. Don't have friends, but kind and passionate. I'm very intrigued by her. IP: Logged | |
