User heartstrings from the Thread I made about Moon Signs and Hidden Desires immediately reminded me of a comment a Capricorn friend from a Sailor Moon Forum. She stated that being a Capricorn is hard because they are looked down by the immature Signs of the Zodiac for their Seriousness and Maturity.So I decided this would be fun to make. Note we are only using Sun Signs and ignoring other placements like the Moon Sign and Ascendant. My Tiering of Most Mature 1.Capricorn(Most Mature)
2.Taurus
3.Scorpio(Most Mature Water Sign)
4. Virgo
(I Can't help but thing all Earth Signs are the most mature and serious of the Sun Signs and Scorpio is the only one that makes it in the Top Tier) 5.Aquarius(easily the most mature of the Air Signs IMO)
6.Sagittarius (most mature of the Fire Signs)
7.Cancer
8.Leo 9.Gemini
10.Libra
11.Pisces (unless there is other powerful aspects like Scorpio Ascendant  )

Actually the Sun signs are already ordered in "age" or lesson wise, Aries being "new" and Pisces being "old." So really it's divided up like so:Aries
Taurus
Gemini
Cancer Leo
Virgo
Libra
Scorpio Sagittarius
Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces It also depends on how you gauge maturity. I'd say its by who has the most overall wisdom by the time they've finished their lesson, not necessarily who is the biggest party pooper. IP: Logged |

Hmmm my list1. Cap - very mature if you look on sun sign only (rest of chart DEFINETLY matters) 2.scorpio-evolved types are usually very mature...unevolved types tend to be selfish and immature 3.aqua- a lot of aquas i met are mature in nature 4. Pisces- those that did not end up leaving reality for good are usually pretty mature 5.virgo 6.libra 7.taurus 8.cancer 9.sag 10.gemini 11.leo (OMG) 12.aries (most immature ive met were aries) IP: Logged |

To be honest I think maturity is very subjected to a person's upbringing because I know Capricorns who were ill-bred and they were some of the most immature people I've ever seen. I've also seen a pattern in Sagittarius being immature. IP: Logged |

But like it was said earlier, this is only based on Sun Signs. The rest of a persons Natal Chart plays a significant role on whether or not said Capricorn is ACTULLY mature. IP: Logged |

What do you mean by mature? I think the signs are all mature in different ways. Virgo for example is mature in the way that they strive for responsibility and courteousness, but they can be immature in the way they're easily offended or how they hold onto negative emotions.IP: Logged |

^this  I read somewhere that in case of signs sharing same ruler/co-ruler, the less mature sign will act as the other sign when evolved/matured up. e.g: an evolved Aries will act as a Scorpio
Gemini like a Virgo
Taurus like a Libra
Sagittarius like a Pisces
Capricorn like an Aquarius ( this one might be reversed , not sure )

I agree wit dis. It depends on the type of maturity...I feel like some signs are inclined to be emotionally mature, but may lack the maturity necessary for seeing projects through or saving money, for example. And vice versa for other signs, and so on. IP: Logged |

Lol...I'm a Sag Sun with a lot of Sag in my chart...Asc, Mars & Jupiter and consider myself pretty mature and responsible. So I wouldn't point the finger at Sun signs alone...it's mostly upbringing and life experiences...all influences.IP: Logged |

Yeah...Aries should not be at the bottom of that list. But if we're going off Sun signs alone I would agree it's Scorpio or Aquarius who are the most mature. IP: Logged |

Definition of Mature: Having reached a desired or fully developed position; Ripe.
Earth/Water is more likely to dwell/care so we'd assume, but even an intellectual could overal categorically be held as responsible/mature from actions they did (like a libra could stick up for someone! thats mature!)
My picks Taurus(a relatively stable,wholesome sign), but the sun rules Leo so maybe that.

I disagree that Capricorn is "mature." I've met a lot of young Capricorns and they're all little sh*theads that need some sense whacked into them. I've met old Capricorns who are some of the silliest beings I've encountered. I've met young Aries who are serious about taking care of their families and old Aries who are playboys. It all varies.I don't think Sun signs determine "maturity." The Sun's position is to show what is the person's vitality, their ego and what they enjoy. If you want to see how "mature" a person is, look at their Saturn placement and how it hits the rest of their chart. Someone with a lot of air or fire can have mature Saturn in either Libra, Aquarius, or Capricorn and they're likely to be more responsible and reasonable than someone with a lot of earth and have crap Saturn like Aries, Cancer, or Leo. When people look at my chart, I have a ton of air. Most would automatically think I'm really immature, flighty, and impulsive (true on a lot of accounts) because I have lots of Gemini and Libra planets. What throws everyone off is that I have Libra Saturn conjunct Asc. and that people usually do respect what I have to say, even though most don't immediately agree with me (but they do eventually). I'm very airy and I like being impulsive, weird, and silly but if someone acts out of line and offends me, I will throw them over my lap and whack some sense into them. I'm not afraid to throw the book at others and usually don't spare feelings. Maturity is a Saturnine built-in component. IP: Logged |

That's so GROSS!!! As a Gemini, I would never strive nor think that Virgo is the "higher" version of me. They're so annoying, critical, depressing, repetitive, materialistic, and super mainstream. NO GEMINI would ever want to turn into a Virgo, not even Geminis who have Virgo placements in their charts. Cap would never want to turn into an Aqua and Aqua would never want to turn into a Cap. They're both Saturn ruled but are really different as day and night. Ask random Caps if they would ever want to be like an Aqua. They'd probably throw up and lose composure. Ask an Aqua if they want to be more like a Cap. If they don't jump ship on that one, I'll owe you a Coke. IP: Logged |

My most "maturing" time was when Pluto transited my 12th house, I had to shed a lot of my old and immature ways.Sign wise I could not tell you, I have my immature ways and my mature ways..it's a growing process.
