Topic: Cardinal Ascendant--Is it easier to Be Srong and Stand Up In the World

At night, I count Astrological aspects, instead of sheep  I was thinking about this last night. I have a Libra Ascendent and I seem to be able to stand up where many people cannot. I am not bragging about myself, just wondering about the Cardinal Ascendent, in terms of this. ------------------

Not really, that sounds more like a fixed axis trait than a cardinal one - stubbornness, fixity, seeing things through to the end.Where planets are concerned it sounds more like a Pluto type of thing - strength, power. Probably in aspect to Mercury (the thought processes) or moon (the emotions). To some extent other sites back me up on this as well because I saw Moon-Pluto mentioned once as meaning "hard to kill". Strong Uranus would make someone able to swim against the tide (at any cost), too. IP: Logged |

I have Pluto sextile Merc(3 deg)
Pluto sextile the Sun( 4 deg)
It has taken me some time to be able to stand up( a lot of time ) but I can now. I bet it took time due to the sextile, as it has to be worked on, while the trine is free lol

I agree. the whole chart. husband is Gemini rising and he is doing fine standing up for himself. and yes he has Pluto conjunct Moon in Virgo. I'll look up the other placements and aspects he has.
as Scorpio rising I grew up in abusive environment I learned to persevere and only act when it's too far. Pluto quincunx Moon very wide orb though IP: Logged |

Ami, sorry to disappoint you but that is FIXED ascendant trait not cardinal. Maybe you have Pluto well aspected. Thats a totally another story.IP: Logged |

I think a lot of it is subjective too. It can be easy to think we're the last one standing but the reality could be very different. We may be unaware of the props we're using to hold ourselves up. Some people can be very strong ~ in certain circumstances, and others would buckle. But there are times when roles are reversed. A last man standing thing is always a fixed sign/Pluto indicator. Yes, maybe it is Pluto. I have 2 good sextiles to the Sun and Mercury. They go from the 9th House to the 11th.I am usually standing up for my principles( 9th) in groups( 11th). So, that must explain it.

Cancer rising... sometimes i stand for others but so far this worked against me - i lost 2 jobs by standing for my/our rights... wile the others couldn't out of fear of loosing their job... so yeh - this can get me in to trouble. ^^ IP: Logged |

Yes, the main way I get in trouble is standing up for people--cancer moon and mars. Sometimes, I get in trouble, on my own though  ------------------

That's not true. My sun, mercury and rising are in pisces. I'm one of the strongest people (Emotionally) you will ever meet. I'm very assertive and I stand up for myself MOST of the time (there are exceptions of course, there's always an exception). Everyone who knows me knows I have certain limits they are NOT allowed to cross. I give people two chances. If someone REALLY hurts me, I easily cut them out without even giving them a chance.
