Also, anybody ever read the books "Gingerbread" and most importantly the book "Shrimp" by Rachel Cohen? They're young but still some of my favourite characters ever. I would fall in love with everything that Shrimp does to show his love to Cyd Charisse....serenade her with the Sound of Music, send her postcards with art of them, know instinctively when she's on a perfect natural high, melt chocolate bars on popcorn just cause it's her favourite...etc. etc.IP: Logged |

I love this thread!Venus in Capricorn, 3rd house (Sun in Sag, Taurus Moon) I love the idea of someone opening up to me emotionally so much that they let me feel every emotion they posses. To me that would be the ultimate gift. I am attracted to men with depth that can also get used to my awkward silly side (Sag awkwardness?). Also I love mystery & getting to the bottom of the mystery and the idea that my partner only lets me get that deep with him (privacy). Sometimes I wonder if my Venus is supposed to be in Scorp!? I don't feel I love like a typical Venus in Cap... maybe someone else has a similar experience? IP: Logged |

Love it I've got a 9th house Venus in Aries. I love taking trips just the two of us, spur of the moment or planned, doesn't matter. Adventures and fun are REALLY important to me, bonding of souls really. Being able to talk to each other about EVERYTHING. Almost constant affection/contact when we're together, even if it's just holding hands or touching my hair. I don't SEEK PDA, but I definitely don't mind it. It makes me feel like my fiance wants everybody to know I'm his and I adore that. Love notes whether they be hand written or typed up on the computer for me to find when I turn on the monitor or texts just to say I love you. Dinner waiting for me when I come home after work, or surprise destinations for the two of us that I'm not allowed to know about until we get there... I could go on and on lol I love romance and being chased and chasing and just love in general. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside reading everybody's posts lol ------------------ Leo ASC, Pis Sun, Tau moon IP: Logged |

Venus in Cancer H11. I normally have romantic situations with my friends and more "carnal" escapades with the opposite sex. I have not managed to mix the two. I have a stellium in H11 as well. IP: Logged |

I've been reading with immense interest on the dichotomy between the female and male fantasies about what constitutes romance. Yeah. She oiled my Makita chainsaw and I bought her 20 feet of Two by Four lumber. Then we sat down to WWE wrestling over a six pack of Bud. Then we went outside and made love on the hood of my monster Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck while I hung her dress on the shotgun rack. Lol. My Venus is in Aquarius in the 12th House, but does that matter? Lol IP: Logged |

Sexy soft words n my ear, random surprises, holding hands, I know what your thinking eyes from the across the room, tons of candles around the house all different scents, lily flowers by my pillow just because, love letters/love notes/love art, slow passionate kisses in bed that leads to intense nails digging at the corner of the mattress juicy sex on a rainy day, both skipping work to go on an adventure like ghost hunting or get drunk on a beach!Aquarius Venus 12th house IP: Logged |

^^ there you go. I have the same sign Venus as JLyn also in the same 12th House. But I'm more cerebral in my romantic connection and need to be intellectually and mentally stimulated. So, the spark for a female and a male are distinctly different despite the same astrological chart placements. IP: Logged |

@ YTA - I was thinking/observing the same sorta' thing. Girls - I want all-or-nothing, fairy-tale quality love, and Hollywood embraces, and "crawling up the walls" great sex too boot! Guys - I'd like to have my dinner ready after work, a warm bath run for me, and maybe a quick roll in the hay, before the kickoff. Personally, I think there's a world of difference in our definitions of romance/romantic gesture to begin with. Not just by genders but really individually... Romance is - - - person A: taking out the garbage so that their SO won't have to (letting them sleep in) person B: being able to take a nap while the SO watches the baby person C: holding hands, sweet embraces, heavy petting person D: romantic scenery, deep/philosophical understanding, and wild sex of course person E: something as mundane as having flowers delivered to the place of employment, or ironing their clothes, having their briefcase, and coffee ready for them to push off in the morning... something like that~ haha ---- oh and!!~~~~~~~~~ My Aqua ex thought teaching me how to perform an oil change was romantic, TRUE STORY~ I had quite a laugh at the scenario you posted above... that was so him (well except he didn't watch sports/wrestling)... he was quite a trip when he wasn't going apesh^tnuts with the domestic violence. I learned all about spark plugs, changing tires, fuel pumps, carburetors, and how to get blood stains off of furniture... all from him!~ and, they say romance is dead~~~
(But, he was Venus in Capricorn... gotta keep things practical.) ------------------ "One life - a little gleam of time between two eternities." - Thomas Carlyle IP: Logged |

I've observed much the same thing, but also that it gets really tricky with men & sex...not that I can give examples here. Suffice to say men get as screwed up ideas about women from porn (both in how to approach a woman and what she likes in bed) as women do about men from the romance genre, and instead of learning that the real world works differently they just assume something is wrong with everyone they meet rather than the unrealistic views they've gained from their preferred fantasy material. And then there are the women (and sometimes men buy into it, too, just as there's women who buy into that they should live up to unrealistic male fantasies) who see all the nice things their favorite characters have on TV and think the man should provide that for her as well because she wants it, and so and so does it on TV and the guy in the romance novels is almost always wealthy (or becomes so). And if a guy does work really hard to provide all that then he might be too tired to go dancing, go on a romantic vacation, or even have sex and doesn't that just suck. I think boys & girls need a Reality 101 taught early in school before they end up in the habit of mistaking the fantasy for truth and doom themselves to unhappiness when real life turns out a lot harsher than the fantasy they love in the romance genre and/or porn. (There are plenty of other things fiction, especially TV & movies, gets wrong, too, yet so many believe it...actually, I came real close to spitting out my drink when a teacher said she loved "scientifically accurate" movies like The Day After Tomorrow, though I did take comfort in that she didn't teach science ) IP: Logged |

Hi! Welcome to Linda-Land. I'm a Cap sun. The thing I've observed with other Capricorn suns is, we are extremely romantic, and barely ever get any formal credit for it with astrologers. Any time I read a memoir by a Cap man, it seems to always begin with sentimental mush about his first love. *This includes Richard Nixon's memoir* So, I would have to guess that Cap Venus has this same devotion and need for closeness, but even more pronounced. The way Caps and Scorpios love can be quite similar. It's deep, intense, long-lasting. IP: Logged |

I think your post was true to me, since I do like the fact that we show sides of us that we both only know. Opening up to me is a greatest gift I could ever get, since that person now shows that's he trusts me. My Taurus Moon affects that I want a long term relationship, also I can be a bit possesive, but my sun kind of holds that down for me. xD I always observe people cause my taurus moon, and when someone interests me cause of their mystery. I would start liking them, only infatuation though.. -3- Although it's pretty funny cause the guy from last year, whom I had an infatuation, became the guy I love now.. We keep getting eye contacts and I start to blush, so I look away.. He's a Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon and Taurus Venus. ANYWAYS LOL. When it comes to love, I'm more of a Capricorn Venus, since I shy away from them, I can't talk to them at all unless it's them who make the first move. IP: Logged |

Oh so THAT is where I get that trait! I have a huge thing about the object of my affection always making the first move and I've always wondered if that was just part of my astrological placement. I can be so shy in love! But my Sag sun balances that out. It's interesting! The person I'm somewhat involved with right now is a Scorp Sun with Libra Moon and Scorp Venus and he has a hard time being forward.. What is your ascendant?

I have a Pisces Ascendant. Although Sagittarian suns are supposed to be tall.. I'm like 5 foot tall.. ;0; What's your ascendant? I have read a thread about Scorpio moons do the intense eye-contact thing. And they only do that to the people whom they are interested in.. After reading that, I remembered in Gr 9, last year, we've always make that eye-contact, sometimes I stare him down so that he could look away, but I keep losing everytime. -3- I thought of it as a competition, I didn't even know he was interested in me, but I was infatuated with him, I didn't seriously like him until now. Now, he's still doing the eye-contact thing, but less than before due to the fact we're only classmates in one class. :c IP: Logged |

Venus in Sag conjunct IC & Neptune with a sextile to Pluto.Show me something new, make me feel accepted, play with me (yes, that is a double entendre), tell me a secret, and lets at least talk about taking a trip. Manfriend, his kids, & I were in a restaurant once and his son asked if the question if there was any place you could visit where would you go. I'm about almost 70% deaf so I did not hear the question. I asked him to repeat himself. Libra me mulled it over for a bit but Venus Sagg answered everywhere. They all were a little weirded out because Manfriend had the same reply. His Moon conjuncts my Venus. ------------------ Claire "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro." -HST IP: Logged |
