Aron Ralston ~ cut off his own arm when he got trapped whilst climbing, that's gotta be an indicator of a high pain threshold? Not everyone is capable of doing that [not even to save their own life].d.o.b 27th Oct 1975 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aron_Ralston IP: Logged |

Mars Trine Pluto here, plus a Capricorn.I don't have much tolerance for BS but it takes more than a couple of punches for me to call it quits. I never give in to anything. I'm also a martial artist and an ex-soldier. My left foot was rolled over by a Land Rover Defender front wheel on asphalt once, and fortunately I came away with nothing but a bruise. IP: Logged |

Agree with Lala, it's probably a Cappy thing. No Mars/Pluto here, but I do have Cap IC. Saturn aspects all my personal planets expect Mars. I have a very high threshold for physical pain. Endured a lot, and the fact that I wasn't a screamer when abused probably made me mother's favorite punching bag out of all my siblings. ------------------ "You are not entitled to your opinion. Re: Aron ~ That is just insane. No tob but I looked him up, -natal Sun/Uranus conj sq Saturn turned into a tsq with transiting Mars (progressed Moon might've been conj n.Saturn at the time) -progressed Sun/Uranus was sq t.Uranus -but- transit Uranus was also making a grand trine with n.Sun/Uranus trine n.Mars -t.Uranus inconj n.Saturn -t.Pluto squaring n.Venus -t.Pluto conj sa.NN by 7 minsMakes sense you see Uranus/Mars in freak accidents; he has the natal trine which prob helped, otoh it might have attracted it as well. And he does have Sun sq Saturn (1'01''). IP: Logged |

It takes more than one aspect or placement to endow an individual with what we'd consider to be a higher tolerance for pain. I don't mean to challenge you, but I disagree that Saturn/Capricorn alone endows an individual with the capacity to endure tremendous pain. Maybe Saturn coupled with Neptune, Pluto, Mars, and even Mercury (mental fortitude). At least this is what I've observed. IP: Logged |
