I feel like this is the most open forum I've been too. And I have been wondering how do you guys know so much? Where did you get all this information? I feel as if I'm seriously behind/lacking! Maybe because you guys are older? But some of you are like 20-something! :L From someone who wants to know as much as you- Debby IP: Logged |

Welcome Debby! Nice to meet a fellow Texan I'm still new to astrology as well but I became interested by my mother which was totally into Sun signs. I later discovered there's a whole lot more than Sun signs. The endIP: Logged |

I had a reading I suppose and didn't understand a lot of things. Charts looked like hieroglyphs to me at 1st so I wanted to understand it a bit more. Never thought I would lol! IP: Logged |

^ LOL, me too! Hieroglyphics.I have always been interested in astrology. Someone told me I'm a Capricorn when I was about five, and I never forgot it. Then I read horoscopes when I was little, paid close attention to sun signs...it just snowballed over the years. IP: Logged |

here's my story: i was sitting out on the porch one day and a friend/neighbor of mine(he used to post here) and his mom came walking by and they stopped to chat. they asked me "when is your birthday?" i replied" january 24th,y? oh you are an aquarius! never would have guessed that!! we were thinking taurus or pisces(i have twelfth house sun and taurus moon,so they were kinda right)." i was like"what are ya'll talking about?" oh we have been learning about astrology, its really interesting." so i began doing online research and they taught me some stuff and it kind of went from there.IP: Logged |

I'm nowhere near as polished as others who have replied to this topic but I actually learned about Sun signs like a week before I stumbled upon this website!! Then I started scratching the surface and have been completely enthralled ever since. I'm still in the 'OMG this is so amazing how could I got so long w/o knowing this stuff' phase lol Huge thanks to Linda-goodman for being the catalyst in my astrology endeavours ------------------ Cancer Sun Gemini Moon Saggitarius ASC IP: Logged |

The astrologer predicted I would understand it though. Not that I would be an astrologer but the ability to learn new things. Was also pretty lost at that time around 4 years ago I suppose. I forgot the transit he mentioned y I was in a pickle.. Of course he would never be able to explain what a transit is that well to a noob. IP: Logged |

Hello and welcome to Lindaland! This is a really great forum :-)I got into astrology around April or May 2007. My sister-in-law was telling me about her own natal chart report and how it was accurate and fit her so well. She and I are always mentally on the same wavelength so I respected her thoughts on it. She said why don't I read mine. I said why not. She did an astrolabe.com report for me and I rememeber reading it in awe at how accurate it was. Then I went online to read my wife's and thats when I found cafeastrology and their free compatibility reports. So I gave it a shot and put my wife and my birth info in. My goodness! The cafeastrology was incredibly spot on! Almost everything in the depot has happened in our marriage! From that point, I already knew there was a forum for everything under the sun so I searched astrology forums and found this place. I lurked for months before joining and posting. Though I'm still very much a novice at this, I learned most all I know about astrology by looking at synastries with people I know. Most interpretations I learned were here and cafeastrology. ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! IP: Logged |

I am 18,started becoming interested when I was around 15,I used to get daily horoscopes in facebook, then I found infos about pisces, then pisces-aquarius cusp, when I was searching for infos about the cusps I landed on some astrology site. Then I got involved in horoscopes category of Yahoo answers. From there I found out about cafeastrology, then I got my natal chart and got some jaw dropping infos.I read only about signs then as I did not know anything about any aspects and it didnt really make much sense. Then back in a fb app I found out my ascendant sign. Then I landed on some astrology site where they used to refer sun sign as star sign, moon sign as emotion sign, ascendant sign as power sign where I found lot of infos,I forgot that site's name,it was really interesting site,if anyone knows that type of site then tell me,it would be interesting to go there after I know so much ,I dont know how I found lindaland but one of the first threads I read was "Astrology and penis size",then I continued to lurk around here for a long time, only then I joined it.IP: Logged |

Welcome another Texan! For me, I was, years ago, going to nursing school and doing home daycare and got real bored. Needed to stimulate the brain. I was in the midst of my continuing spiritual quest and one day I figured I could do my own chart. Which I did. I used to cast them by hand, a forgotten art. My eldest suggested that I do that again, with an awesome calligraphy pen and gift them. This was before the net, so I bought books and read and learned... t~ IP: Logged |

Oh, that's interesting! Yeah, even though I have always believed in sun signs (practically all my life), I was skeptical when I first learned that I have a Pisces moon, Sag planets, Gemini Mars... Like, I just wanted to savor being a Capricorn and dismiss everything else. Transits, at first, seemed like a joke to me. Asteroids, too. But as you know, after you start paying attention, and reading your life story in terms of transits, asteroids, all of it ~ there's no going back.

I was 12 and found the Linda goodman love signs book in my moms closet, read it and became more interested in astrology to the point of searching out other books and finding out there's more than just sun signs IP: Logged |

My Dad had mentioned to me many times as I was growing up that I was a 'Capricorn', and I'd always remembered that. When I was about 13 I found an old copy of Linda Goodman's 'Love Signs' that belonged to my Dad lying around the house. Once I started reading I was hooked! Ms Goodman had a real talent for characterization. Occasionally she'd mention things like other planets and Moon signs in the various chapters. This made me curious and I started researching and learning more and more... Now I'm in my 30's and astrology is still my passion. IP: Logged |

I got into astrology because I was out with friends at a restaurant dinner party, and this guy (a friend of a friend) kept hitting on me. He was much older then me, very aggressive with his intentions and I just wasn't interested. I was ready to just completely ignore the guy until he asked me if I was a Libra (I was 19 at the time). I remember feeling sick to my stomach (and thinking WTF, how, why, um?) because he was right (and incredibly perceptive) and that freaked the heck out of me. I had never had anyone guess my sign or anything about my personality because I pride myself on being elusive and unpredictable. So I bolted out of the dinner party, right then and there after telling him that I was a Libra. He told me I reminded him of his mother who was also a Libra (if I hadn't been so weirded out I would've considered that to be quite sweet). And thus began the journey and the discovery of astrology beyond magazine horoscopes.Suffice to say I started doing an overhaul of research on all things astrological and occult after that. Many years later, I've gained a lot from my research and learned a great deal about myself. Now, I'M the one knocking people's socks off by guessing their astrological placements. If ever see that guy again I'll thank him for the role he played in my discovery. IP: Logged |

My mother got me into astrology at a very young age. She happened to take classes with one of the most proeminent astrologers here in France, and as far as I can remember, astrology has always been part of our lives IP: Logged |
