I'm a Capricorn sun, Virgo Rising, and Scorpio Moon.

I also have the sun conjunct in both rebellious Uranus and dreamy Neptune. I feel like these aspects rule my identity more than my sun sign.

The only time I subconsciously feel my sun sign power is when I'm faced with a challenge. A short term challenge. Any other time, its hard for me to focus on tasks that I'm not particularly interested in,, and I refuse to do anything that I do not agree with.

Because of this I did bad in school...

Capricorns out there, help me!
I would like to believe Capricorn is a great sign to have but I'm noy feeling it...

Hmmm....

Sometimes changing house systems will change your chart quite a bit. Have you tried with other systems - maybe there's one out there tht resonates with you more.

Plus ~ I just found out I'm a Sidereal Sagittarius~ lol I don't agree with it~ but, you might wanna check into that one...

Use Astro~ or such a site, and pick the options for either Vedic or Sidereal~

Changed even my ASC~ although I liked that change~ haha I don't think they'll let me keep the Leo ASC ;; and still have my Placidus Sun.

You may resonate better with how your chart displays using a different system. I can't say which is right for you, and nobody really can... so it is a good idea to give it a try, I think. ^^; you might find having a stellium of SAG or w/e you get matches you better with Sidereal or whatnot.

~~~ good luck~ nighty-night~
I'm a Cap and have mentioned here before that I wish they wouldn't call us "workaholics." I'm not, and I know other Caps who aren't either.
But the difference between us and other people might be how we rise to challenges, as you said. When I have to get something done, it's. going. to. get. done. PERIOD. So I am occasionally a workaholic.
And of course that means a lot of determination and maybe prioritizing the project above everything else...which other people may not do. But Caps will.
Also, Caps are usually interested in astrology or metaphysical stuff. So you are right at home here.
As for how your conjunctions play out, I'm sorry I can't relate at all. My sun is a singleton. Hope others can chime in.
Another Capricorn here and I have to agree with Faith, I do wish they wouldn't call us workaholics. I feel that Caps often get stereotyped as rigid, boring businessmen and women who only care about their status, just as Virgos are often stereotyped as being neat freaks.
I know a variety of Caps and they're all different. The only thing I can say about them all is that we usually keep to a small circle of friends and tend to have an appreciation for art.
My Sun is conjunct Neptune and I can relate to feeling spacey. I daydream a lot and I'm idealistic, spiritual, and sensitive.
A Cap friend of mine also has Sun conjunct Neptune (as well as Neptune in the 1st house) and she's very similar.
What house is your sun in? Is Neptune or Uranus conjunct your ascendant or descendant or are either of those planets in the 1st House?
moonlightx,
My sun is in the Fifth house and I don't think anything is conjunct my ascendant.
Hmm, I'd say it's the conjunctions and also perhaps the Scorpio moon. (They're supposedly pretty willful and like to remain in control.)
I've read that when signs conjunct, there is a blending of energy that almost resembles a new sign/planet.
Other aspects may explain this as well.
Pfft! Not once have I ever thought Capricorns are workaholics. I've always seen them as really hard-working people, that's why whenever I look at my nephew who is also a Capricorn, I always get motivated and makes me want to do my best too.
I don't even like work, and neither did I like school. . I like to win though, and the driving ambition is behind the success.
lol workaholics? haven't met too many of those goats. They're not as common for Capricorn Suns as literature would have others believe, I think.
I'm the -workaholic- type ---- but, my new job is being a mother~ So, I'm on duty 24/7. But, my previous job had my devotion as well, to be honest... I let my career dominate my life until I met my husband. It was the only aspiration I had, and my obsession for sure. I don't think it was about being a workaholic to me though - It was like YTA ~ in a sense... driven to succeed, but in my case I'd say it another way, driven not to fail.... constant fear of failure keeps me going on that stereotypical Capricorn drive. But, my job was spiritually rewarding, so it never became a burden or a bore. If you have that then anyone can be a workaholic, in a sense, right? BUT - I have a goat brother who can't stay at a job for more than a few months tops, (he's 22), and a 41 year old uncle goat who has never been committed to any career whatsoever his whole life, instead hops around to wherever he's needed with no commitment at all. lol It's not the sun in Capricorn that makes a person a workaholic I think, it's when the ruler of our sign is prominent, and that can be for nonCapricorns too. ^^
If you don't think you fit the typical image of a Capricorn, that's probably because there is none. Linda was one of the first astrologers I read from who seemed to really see beyond the image that had long been attached to goat-suns. lol We can be flakey, fickle, impetuous, naive, and downright foolish, just like anyone else, probably twice as often in our youth~ Capricorn seems to be a sign you grow into (or maybe we all do to some extent?) Our redeeming qualities are the same though, dedication when warranted, perseverance, tempered ambition/will, and heaving a strong backbone/hide on the outside. (without getting into negatives, because nobody needs to be reminded of how gloomy goats can get from time to time, right?) ---
You have an intense moon, probably (I would honestly think), makes your emotions run deeper and seethe to the surface more often.... once you get a handle over that, and find a passion to dedicate all your Cappy-Virgoan-Scorpionic energy towards, you'll probably adjust to the idea of being a Capricorn better overall~ cause it's only one piece of you~ and you don't have to make it the whole picture... your chart makes you a whole picture~ complicated and beautiful~ <3
sorry for rambling~!
*snort* all us lazy goats resent work and school at some point in our lives~ lol (rather dedicate our time to our "personal ambitions", and "earthly pursuits"... yayaya)
I like the beach. The only problem is that I also like good food and pretty stuff that's very expensive. So I drag my rear end reluctantly to work.
We work because we have to. We don't like it. But we do what we must do to have what we want.
I also have a Virgo ASC, and it takes over my Cappy placements. It is a very strong ASC to have. And so is your Scorp Moon. So, it's no wonder you don't feel very goatish. But underneath it all is your Sun--keeping it all together and making things mesh well.
@ YTA - you reminded me of something I once asked my Baba (she was 71 years old at the time, suffering from brittle bones and a neurological disorder).
I said, "why do you still work when you are getting so ill, you should be resting and enjoying the countryside with PopPop"?
To which my (Gemini Sun) grandmother, very flatly responded, "SM, dear... I like expensive things; I like things of value and quality and I'm use to having them for myself. I enjoy buying nice things for myself and others, and there is no greater satisfaction than having earned them on your own."
She was a woman of high pride, almost obnoxious at times, very strong old bird~ I took what she said to heart, she always had a way to just cut out the bullsh^t and get things done no matter what~ always respected that about her.
I wonder sometimes if she had any Capricorn in her chart or just a lot of Saturn influence? (But she was a home birth, born in the early 1930s backwoods, that information is unavailable.)
Anyway~ you reminded me of her for a moment~ thank you~ (I'd thought I'd share this) - tho I realize this is a bit OT~ haha sorry~
Merci belle demoiselle. It indeed becomes an issue when one is broke and one's wife likes Hermes Birkins and Christian Louboutins. . After all, she's part French and knows how to live it up.
I can see why you do not feel like a Capricorn with those aspects. You feel confined and bored with routine. The good news is, your Asc and Moon are both very compatible with Capricorn and each other. Moon is in fall while in Scorpio though, opposite Taurus exaltation. So, you might have some family problems. Look to things the moon rules for more information on that. So, I would just work on your moon and Asc, try to channel the energy of the conjunctions into those areas. It's a good combination for someone who wants to start their own business. You might be interested in the fantastic, odd or unique and could do well in some kind of business associated with this, like vending, maybe, or original artwork?
Where is your S-turn? Dispositors are a pretty cool thing! But yes, I agree, those conjunctions are more powerful than just sign placement.
Thank you, SaturnineMoth for your insight! Love it.
Thank you everyone else as well.
I'm learning to channel my Virgo-Capricorn-Scorpio energy. I like every position of my chart except for my Mars in Cancer...ughhh I hate it! It makes me passive-aggressive which is not...idk it just sucks. In combination with my Moon in Scorpio its just a disaster.
I knew a Capricorn moon very well with a mars scorpio who was extremely diligent with the way she hurt those she cared about.
Say while driving, you thought you were in the turning lane on a green light, but were actually in the center of the road at a red light.
Would all the cars coming at you stop driving, knowing the potential for a major collision?
I'm an 8th house Capricorn Sun with Saturn in the 1st, and I was exactly the same way about school Goatcat. Maybe our creating our own rules is a reflection of Saturn, or of our feeling that school is beneath us, or something.
I don't think Capricorns are workaholics either (though I have known a couple). Cardinal Suns are initiators. We start things. I think that we decide on goals and move with calculation towards those goals. I think that's more likely our defining quality, and I think that could give the workaholic impression. We're also not lacking in energy, which can be different from our peers.
