Just wondering if there is still a place for deep and true love or are all such notions to be regarded as "obsessive" now? Not so long ago, thinking about your lover, being enthralled and fascinated would have been a very positive thing. As long as it wasn't to the point of self-annihilation, although Romeo and Juliet (please excuse this example, no one else comes to mind) may have begged to differ.

If there is, then what do you think may distinguish the two, astrologically speaking.

Yes, that's true Aquaguy. I feel that a slight obsession is really what a crush actually is, but you don't have all your days consumed with them, obsess over them to the point of being distracted for more than that 'honeymoon' period. I think being a bit infatuated at first is normal, because it's the lust/intensity period. BUT some people go beyond that time period, and this usually happens when it's a hidden affair, one-sided, the other person is not attainable, etc.

Oh and I have a libra venus also

Hmm, interesting....

My Pluto in Scorp in the 12th actually trines my 5H ruler strongly!!!

Wow. I can see how that would work for me too. I'm very predator-like with love interests just like you! I'm not submissive at all, and very rough/intense with people I like... I can't be stopped. It takes a very interesting guy to dominate my personality.

GREAT idea!

We should actually do a Plutonian support group on LL! This really spoke to me. I could do well in such a group myself. My Pluto is in Scorpio, the house ruler in its own house, trine Mars my 5th house ruler, and sextile my MC, AND semi-sextile my Libra Sun. 8'0 I'd love to have a support place for my Pluto problems, and Mars issues too.

If you consider a 10 dg. orb as counting for a conjunction, my Pluto technically conjuncts my Venus as well...?

Good point, Astro Keen.

Deep, true love to me, is different from obsessive and out of control "love".

The former is very different because it is based on feelings of attachment, stability, and renewed love over time. It is peaceful, renewed and importantly, usually NOT one-sided or extremely tumultuous. The latter, obsessive love, may not even be 'love' at all in half of cases or more... sometimes we mistake out of control infatuation or a love of the chase for those deep feelings that aren't really there. Trust me, it's happened to me before...

Astrologically speaking, a positive and light - keyword light, non-oppressive! - Venus-Saturn aspect in synastry coupled with a healthy positive Venus-Mars aspect, or Mars &/or Venus touching the rulers of the 7th&/or 5th houses could indicate healthful, deep love, passion and stability.

Out of control infatuations, unstable love, obsessive loves could definitely be 5H Pluto in synastry/natal as we said here earlier, Venus-Pluto harsh aspects in synastry, Moon-Pluto harsh aspects + conjunction exact, Venus-Neptune, Venus-Uranus harsh aspects perhaps, harsh aspects to the 5th &/or 7th house rulers from Venus, Mars, Pluto.

It's OK hun! Don't worry about it.

I see what you mean about being a little enthralled being a good thing. I totally agree... it's normal. BUT only for a period of time.

Our notion of true all consuming love has become obsolete. For a Scorpio mooner, that is unimaginable...to have no deep connection and settle on a mediocre relationship lacking a strong tie just seems meaningless. Do two poeople want to be together? Do they care deeply of one another and willing to sacrifice a part of them, granted this is mutual? In today's time, this is hardly heard of...the honesty of such feelings are deemed shameful and concealed. But for what reason? This just adds to our superficial automated lives. Why do we crave the holidays? It's when people come together. We live deceptively believing that we are lead by our rationale, yet most our acts are driven by emotion.

It takes courage to care and not be ashamed to express it. Without honest expression, life for me would be meaningless.
