Is Venus-Neptune and Venus-Pluto the only classic placements for these types of people? OR do other placements contribute to such a personality?

Personally, I feel that an UNCHECKED LIBRA influence could really screw someone up in the love department. I personally have an un-aspected/peregrine Sun in Libra, and I can become far too easily infatuated with love, the idea of romance and finding a partner. (I have no Venus-Pluto aspect. I have only a Venus-Neptune sextile and it's weak.) Maybe an afflicted Venus or Sun in Libra could make it all worse for someone when it comes to obsessive love, since Libra is the sign of partnership.

What do you guys think about this concept?

It's definitely the Scorpio influence, Sugarplum. I'm the same way. I am pretty Uranian but I am also Plutonian. Did you know this is one of the trickiest, most difficult mixes in the natal chart you can have? Aqua+Scorp influenced people are usually thrown through the ringer in their lives because they crave independence and meeting many people, seeing humanity and improving it, yet they want loyalty, intensity, hidden passions. Scorp digs deep and wants to look beneath; Aqua looks aloof and asks, Why are you getting so intense?

I am that mix, mostly. I have Scorp Venus and it makes me very passionate and obsessive sometimes in love. Yet I can become aloof and forget about old partners just as quickly, from it being conjunct Jupiter, in the 11th, and sextile Uranus. But the back and forth between 110% involved and 0% into it is maddening!

Aww, that's a shame. :'I I'm sorry that happens to you. I've also seen Uranian people have that problem, where they are the ones who crave aloofness/freedom and end up attracting unavailable partners because those people actually mirror their own traits of not wanting to be with anybody. The Uranian feels let down but can crave the chase, then get bored when the other gives in.
